I've had a great day out at Belton not far from Grantham. Had a look round the house, gardens and lake. Been to the golf course, watched them all get ready for a game of golf. Been to the garden centre, bought an ice cream. Now it's almost time to go. A couple more videos to record before I drive home.

The Tournament Ground is an outdoors activity centre which offers all kinds of experiences. Check out their web site to see what they offer, and maybe you would like to try the Combine Harvester. The Canal Market Traders at Burton on Trent

People who live in a boat on the canal are also business owners. I went to see a floating market on the Trent and Mersey Canal at Shobnall playing fields. It looks like a lovely life to chug up and down the canal network, selling your wares as you go. I chatted, and bought some lovely cheeses, and a flowery crotchet hand made hat. What a lovely atmosphere.

An overnight car camp at Wetherby. Relaxing after my first coffee of the day, and planning what I am going to do for the rest of the day. I actually changed my mind after recording this. I left the car in the car park and had the morning walking in the area. Met a smashing chap who was walking his dog. I call it a light show in a church. You sit in a deck chair and watch the show which wraps around the walls. This video shows the walk through exhibition of the artists life. You can pause the screen if you wish to read the blurb. Pictures of the light show are on my blog.

I parked my car on the Park and Ride car park near York. There are several of these facilities dotted around the outskirts of the city. It is free to park, and if you are a pensioner like me, you can use your bus pass for a free ride into the centre. It is very convenient. The buses run about every 20 minutes or so, and the last one back is 11pm. Unfortunately no overnight parking is allowed. I...

Here are some tips and tricks to get you started. How to kit out your car with what you need. A bed base which needs no timber, no screws to fix it together. Makeshift toilet and washing facilities. Plastic storage boxes that fit under the bed. Simple cooking facilities. Basically no cooking required, simple food. Privacy not a problem with blacked out windows in the back.

Someone asked me what do I listen to, and watch, while I am crafting. I generally listen to interviews on yoootooob. Videos that require you to watch the screen doesn't work very well. I need to watch my hands very closely so I put the stitches in the exact right place.

Coffee chat. It's the 1st of April. It's three months since we started the Walk 1000 miles in one year challenge. Let us know how you are getting on. I have reached the 250 mile target for the end of March. A look at the new embroidery hoop I am working on. I'm in the process of making another batch of pet beds. Keeping busy to cut down on screen time.

Happily Birthday, for whenever, enjoy it ....your hair looks good the lighter colour. I love Lincoln, Grantham 'area' is OK and I like Scampton area , some gorgeous gardens... my son & family lived there . I avoid the A1 like the plague... the mad drivers on there take no bl**dy prisoners... especially Lithuanian Lorry drivers ( I'v nearly been written off twice, by idiots, both lithuanian plates... )

I don't edit my videos. I upload them from the camera to my computer, check them, if acceptable I publish them onto yoootooob, if not I delete them. You need to buy a camera if you haven't already got one. I think a smart phone could be used, but I know nothing about them. If you buy one go to a camera shop and tell them what you want to do with it and they will suggest which might be suitable. Practice with it. Go to the youtube web site and open an account. There will be instructions on what to do next. I didn't have any help, I just played around with it.

I can't film and listen to instructions from Alex, and drive at the same time. I had 45 minutes which cost £140, so I had to concentrate on what he was telling me to do.
