- Next time you buy something from a shop leave your card and your phone in your pocket or bag. Pay with cash. Much easier, then you won't get a shock statement at the end of the month. Pay as you go is the best way to monitor your spending, and keep control of your finances.

A lady I met on the bus was very talkative. Complained at that no one chatts on the bus anymore because everyone is staring at their cell phones. She was really nice and fun to talk to. She made my day.

Cash is King. Freedom of choice. Loss of jobs in supermarkets and serving yourself at self checkout. So many systems down this week in my vicinty and only taking cash. Please wake up everyone. Bless you for being out there telling truth. X

Cancelled tv licence yesterday, first lady refused to cancel it. So I phoned back, had a strange conversation with a young man this time trying again to refuse me. Tactics they were trying to use were appalling. I have gotten rid of the tv for good.Thank You for your videos.💖

Certain supermarket, near me, started closing the main checkouts of an evening so forcing people to use the self serve.... my friend had a trolley load of shopping and was told to use them... He is 80 years old .. He took the trolley to the self serve and left it there.... the attendant was mortified.... but their own fault... losing custom hand over fist.

Lots of times here the store card machine is not working! And if there is a power outage it won't work. Businesses can't sell anything then!
Nice art work! My 24 years old daughter just told me yesterday that, she will start using cash every time she wants to spend money because with the bank card, she has been overspending and increasing her debts.
That's good news. Keep encouraging her.. She shouldn't have any debts, unless she has a mortgage. Tell her to go all out to pay her debts off. Debts are a chain around her neck. She can't live her life until she gets rid of them.
Bueautifil embroidery, I create my own embroideries, gave one to a couple at the dementia support group I volunteer at and now I’m doing a second one since finding heat erase pens I can put my drawings on to the fabric easily and don’t have to buy a kit. I don’t charge for my embroidery I do them as gifts x
Sorry I spelt beautiful wrong I blame 3 day migraine. Just got some migraleve as meds from drs not working. Cost me £11.30 for the box. Luckily most of the time the stronger meds from drs work but not this time. Luckily only working one day this week but want to be well enough for Friday as booked a treat for being on holiday spa day. So hope to be better by then x
@@angelakneller2880 have a look into Magnesium supplements these are supposed to be good for migraine. I've been using for about 2 months because of multiple problems I was experiencing. No longer suffering from cramp restless leg, extreme tiredness, and not sleeping to name but a few. Feel loads better.

I got away from carrying cash when I worked at a school in a dangerous part of town. I keep less than 10 dollars in my phone wallet. When a hurricane is moving into the gulf, I will get a few more dollars to have because I know that if it hits my area near Houston that the local gas pumps cannot take credit cards during those times. Also even the stores go to cash only. They let only a handful of people go into the store accompanied by a clerk with a flashlight and you have to pay with cash. Last storm had us without power to run credit machines for the better part of a week. The stores have backup generators but they use them to run their fridges.

I use cash most of the time, and like you I like to talk to a human when I buy something. I must get a email about once a month from my bank asking me to do online banking, but I just ignore it, as I like a paper statement every month. I so much look forward to any uploads that you put on here, and love your new art work. You are looking very well, which is nice to see.😍
I do some online banking, but I still go into my bank about once or twice a month for some in person banking as some things just don't feel right over the phone. I like getting a paper receipt for my banking transactions.

Apparently i read on the bbc news more and more people are using cash now, as its a good way of keeping hold of your spending. Beautiful project you have on the go there IIlona, lovely x
We came home from Lanzorote with Jet 2 last Tuesday and they do not take cash anymore, we refuse to not have the choice of using cash so did not purchase anything at all. Luckily we did have water with us.
My friend who lives in Italy where cash is still used ( they don’t trust the banks) was worried because her daughter visited London and said it was ‘cards only’ The friend comes to a south coast town every year and only ever uses cash. I reassured her because I have another friend who lives in that town and only ever uses cash.
We are lucky here in South Wales. We have many shops which will ONLY take cash! We must keep fighting against the people trying to know and control how we spend our money ! Those loyalty cards are only a way of giant super markets gaining knowledge of what we are buying and our spending habits.

It ‘s worth watching just to back up every thing Ilona has been saying about people trying to control us through our shopping.

Hi Ilona, at my little Tesco Express the self service check outs are card only. When I went to the till to pay with cash they kept me waiting ages because they were stacking shelfs. Really annoyed me, they just want you to use a card.

I would have left my shopping on the conveyor belt and walked out, they would have to put it all back themselves. If they don't want my cash I refuse to give them my business.

Since watching your videos I've started taking some cash out each week. I must admit I still use my phone, but I've noticed that when I take cash out and have the notes and coins in my possession, I'm more cautious about spending it. I'm going to attempt to use cash more often this year.
I am glad to hear that. Numbers on a statement don't register with me, but when I have cash in my hand, that seems more real. It's about finding the right solution for yourself, and not be swayed by the media. Always carry some cash and get into the habit of using it.
Many,people especially the elderly,benefit from the social interaction whilst paying by cash ie; a good natter,a friendly smile, etc. with the person on the till or local market stall .
The struggle and confusion using “self service” checkouts must be daunting.
Unfortunately im disabled & cant do my shopping in physical stores so I have to buy online. I would love to be able to only use cash but its not always possible.
There are more and more self serving cashiers all over were I live. It’s becoming harder to talk to other humans personally nowadays.
Vote with your wallet don’t use them.
People are prepared to take the risk of being hacked,because they are too lazy

Have you read about the truckers strike in Canada and how they were bullied by the Government because they could retaliate against them via their plastic assets? Scared the pants off me. I love Ireland’s policy that legislated to keep cash in the community. I’m a cash girl!

The fat butcher in my town has started taking card payments only because they got robbed. Then all of a sudden all their branches are card only!!! It’s a sad state of affairs. We need to keep our cash!!!!!
