Come for a bus ride with me in York.

- I parked my car on the Park and Ride car park near York. There are several of these facilities dotted around the outskirts of the city. It is free to park, and if you are a pensioner like me, you can use your bus pass for a free ride into the centre. It is very convenient. The buses run about every 20 minutes or so, and the last one back is 11pm. Unfortunately no overnight parking is allowed. If you use Park and Ride anywhere else check what is allowed on their web sites. When I used it at Bath last year, overnight parking was allowed.

Hi Illona, Pretty good video considering all the stopping and starting. Here in Ohio, when you as a driver pass a cyclist, you must pull at least 3 feet to the left or right of them when passing. It does seem to be appreciated by the cyclist. Can't wait to see York.

I visited York a couple of years ago. It’s beautiful and the buildings look so awesome. Thank you for showing all the places. I can’t travel at this time and I miss it so much.
I really enjoyed the ‘local color’ that can only be seen through the lens of, well , A local! Very pretty ride. I have always wanted to see England since I was a young girl. I’m now 72 and have not made it yet. So thanks for ‘answering ‘ to my daydreams , unbeknownst to you ! I watched with interest !

Welcome back. I try and vary what I put out on my channel. My videos are simple, because I don't edit them. I haven't got time to spend hours on a computer tweaking them. I don't take life too seriously.
It's been a while since I went to York and we parked at the P & P as we were visiting the *York Maze* for my Birthday. We took the bus into town as you'll be lucky to find a spot to park, so you did the right thing. You did good getting the upstairs front seat for a lovely clear view. The Park and Ride at York is a really good service, especially if you are a pensioner. It's free to park. Bus fare to pay for, if you haven't got a pass.
Love your adventures I've never been around York city center only a good few times to York racecourse when I worked in the racing industry so I would love to have a proper visit.
Ilona - both the video and audio quality are very good considering it must be hand held in a bus

Brill ilona had to sleep on a bench at york 2006 because conecting train was missed because of ramadan

Road markings, depending on where you and the situation you find yourself in they provide information about where to,go for different streams of traffic. I’m sure you have got something where you are that does a similar sorta thing ?

They are warning that a pedestrian crossing or junction is coming up and is usually controlled by traffic lights. Slow down, and be aware that people or vehicles might emerge in front of you.
