- It should be easy to just remove the radiator cap. Right?

Don't feel bad...those caps are designed to fail! A friend had his blow out on the trail and we had to get creative to plug the hole and get through the rest of the trail (I always carry a spare now) and I had one blow on a Range Rover while driving. There's a brass replacement for them that I highly recommend using.
I am so glad we have never had that as a trail fix before. We have brass ones on both my Discovery and Kelly's RRC but they are out of stock at Atlantic British right now so Jill got another plastic one and a spare.

Love the video. Just land rover's things, makes a simple task in a nightmare. I got a 1998 disco 1 v8 for a daily vehicle. Greetings from Colombia.
Awesome fun! Good luck!
Thanks!

Those plastic radiator plugs are terrible. Atlantic British sells an excellent brass replacement for them, and I've put them on both my Rovers.
I’m working on a 99 like this right now. Last owner had it 15 years it’s sat for who knows how long. Just got it running good for the situation haha.
I did the exact same thing recently. I had to purchase the Brass full cap from Atlantic British, only cost about $4 and I ended up buying a few other nee items for the Disco too. Goodluck, can’t wait to see more videos.
We were finally able to order the Brass cap, but they were back ordered for a very long time at Atlantic British. - Grace
