    Definitely buying this comp for my 43x I'm not a comp shooter, but I do train at the range enough to buy one of these, I like em for accuracy point of view especially when using hotter loads with heavier grain projectile and for winter time I would most definitely be using 124 gr 9mm NATO

    Hey man quick question, how come you don’t recommend modifying your carry gun?

    • @PeaK808

      Aloha nō my friend! Thanks for watching my video and your question. Like I said in the beginning, it’s real important to me that my channel serves as a platform for conversations to take place, so people can share ideas, knowledge, questions, in order to help each other out to improve and learn from one another’s experience.
      I wasn’t entirely clear in this video and I’ve tried to do a better job of explaining this in my more recent ones, but aside from switching out sights to something that better suits an individuals eyes, and stippling a grip to better accommodate a particular hand for comfort or something like that, I don’t recommend people to be modifying their carry guns GENERALLY.
      The reason being, in my opinion, is that a quality firearm from a reputable manufacturer with a solid reputation comes out of the box good to go. (besides the sights or grips like how I mentioned before)
      The firearm is a functioning system that has been tested and proven to be reliable machine by qualified individuals, IF, again, it is from a quality, and well-reputed manufacturer.
      The vast majority of firearm owners IN MY OPINION would fall under the umbrella of what I call, “casual shooters”. These are people that may make it out to the range a handful of times a year, who understand the basic functions of their tool, but don’t have the means, ability, or interest to dive deep into their particular firearm ,know it inside and out, be able to take it completely apart, understand everything about it while also being able to afford the time and financial strain of shooting regularly to master fundamentals and such.
      There is NOTHING wrong about being in this group of shooters.
      The problem arises when one of these shooters falls victim to the thought process of modifications making up for time and experience with their firearm. Certain modifications such as compensators and triggers also change the workings of the firearm’s system that I mentioned before, which can affect the reliability of the machine if the shooter doesn’t fully understand how components interact with one another.
      When it comes to a tool one is using to defend their life in the most dire circumstances, it is my opinion that most people should leave their firearm the way it came from the factory, because when it comes to your life, I think reliability is the priority.
      But looking cool is second….a very close second😜🤙🏾

      @@PeaK808 good info man, and another question when you take apart your weapon for cleaning do you have to remove the compensator too?

    • @PeaK808
      @PeaK808  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@tn4263 Good question.
      So, with this compensator, as with others that use set screws, the mod is “semi permanent”. Constantly taking off the set screws and reinstalling can mess up the threads on your barrel.
      Cleaning becomes trickier as you essentially need to work around the compensator, but it can be done. With this guy I use a bore snake and several different kinds of picks and brushes to get into all the crevices. It takes longer to do, but it can be done. So to answer your question, no, you leave the compensator on when you clean your firearm.

    Street comp sucks compared to the competition. I sold mine after I tried others.

      Not that you asked me, but I switched to the micro comp and barrel combination from Parker mountain machine; I’ve had it on my EDC for the past year.
