    Ok so if you run red dots comps are almost a must have and a fix for many people new to the dot movements, Any comp helps with the dot and it’s made for self defense loads , what will you use to defend with?.., I practice with what I defend with. Nothing under 124 and you can’t lose pay now or later lawyers 🏃‍♂️ 💼 $ lol

    Thanks for sharing man. I was thinking of throwing this comp on simply because with the stream light sub 7, it would compliment it in length.
    What are your thoughts on using this comp on the 43x with federal 147gr HST rounds? Would it be better to use the 147gr +P HST’s instead?
    Finally since this review came out, do your same thoughts still stand? Would you still not opt to go for this on an EDC even using the “proper” ammo?
    Thanks man

      Aloha nō my friend! Sorry for the late reply; you have some awesome questions! I’ll do my best to answer them.
      1.). The directions that come with the comp state to use +P rounds only, but in MY experience and “testing” it doesn’t really seem to matter. Mentioning what I said in the video, it’s not an “aggressive” compensator by any means, so I don’t think it’s changing much of the overall system of the firearm. I’d say, shoot what you’re most comfortable with and what your firearm with the compensator installed likes to eat. I’m sure you know this, but it’s absolutely necessary (in my mind) to train with your defensive ammo regularly.
      2.) Yes, regardless of whether or not you’re using this particular piece of equipment, aside from new sights, I don’t think a carry gun should be modified. It was designed for functionality by a team of engineers far more experienced and knowledgeable than myself. I reserve the right to change my opinion as I learn and grow, but right now, today, this is MY opinion on carry guns.
      With that said, after all the time I’ve spent with this, I think this is much more something to make your gun look cool and make you as a shooter feel good. Which IS worth something. As I said in the video, I’m not a top tier shooter, so if there is a measurable difference, it’s very subtle to me.
      Bottom line, it seems you’re one to reach out, expand your knowledge, do your own research, have meaningful conversations and come to your own conclusions. This “carry comp” has not been detrimental to the functionality of MY 43x, but I am confident in you and believe without a doubt you will come to the decision that is best for you
      I hope this helps.
      Aloha nui loa

    Will this work on stock 43x barrel or only threaded barrels?

    • @PeaK808
      @PeaK808  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aloha nō my friend!
      No, this won’t work on a stock barrel.
      Like other muzzle devices, it requires a threaded barrel to be attached🤙🏾

    I'm looking to buy a street comp but want to be able to shoot whatever ammo I can get my hands on. Have you still had no problems with 115gr doo doo ammo on this setup? Do you think it's worth getting a lighter weight recoil spring?

    • @PeaK808
      @PeaK808  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aloha nō my friend! So, in MY experience, I haven’t had any issues with blazer 115gr aluminum cased ball, which is one of the more doodoo of the range loads IMO (not that it’s poor quality just it’s cheap and a target grade).
      I’ve shot several other cheap range loads with no problems at all, but I can’t say it’ll be one hundred percent reliable with whatever you’ll be choosing. I will say that with a proper grip and all of that, I would be surprised if any hiccups arose.
      If you want to circumvent these issues preemptively, I think getting a lighter weight recoil spring could help, but like I said in the video, this comp isn’t very aggressive, so I think you might be alright without it.
      Sorry I didn’t have a better answer for you, have a great weekend🤙🏾🤙🏾✊🏾

    • @PeaK808
      @PeaK808  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aloha nō!
      As long as you have a threaded barrel for your 43, this will fit and function.
      The 43x and 43 share the same barrel and slide, the only difference is the frame.
      In fact, the upper assembly I am using in this video is off of my 43😂

    Hey man, do you have an Instagram? I recently got my comp in and if I screw it "all the way down" as I imagine it is intended, like you have it, all the way essentially up the the slide. The threads of my barrel stick out and obstruct the ports 🤦‍♂️ what other compensators would you recommend that actually might fit without custom work on my barrel and that might actually do more "compensating" too?

      @@PeaK808 for the price point.. I guess this comp was worth a try for a first one, but with the unexpected difference in fit I wouldn't say it was worth the wait on it to be coated and shipped.. I'll still see how it shoots though, for science I guess.
