    Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about Sanctus Library in the comments below! :)

    Nothing beat Sanctus library. This guy's a master at procedural materials. If you want to reach the final step of texturing you'll got to make your own textures and take photographs to match perfectly your scenes. It takes time, you'll need a big workstation to deal with it but you'll have perfectly photorealistic results if the lighting set up is good. Just below that you have Sanctus which is a blessing for few bucks.

      He also just KEEPS adding materials to the add-on - kind of mind-blowing the way he consistently shows up with new stuff too - so good!

      @@TheCGEssentials Exactly! And some people don't realize the value of this addon. When you see some trees that are even not realistic sold for 150-250 dollars each or even worse HDRI that can go up to 500 dollars each for no reasons, having those incredibly qualittative and useful add-ons for a few bucks is a real blessing!

      Would you recommend Sanctus library addln or realtime materials addon from Ducky 3D?
      I’m trying to decide on which one to buy. I do hardsurface modeling so metal materials is what I would need.

      @@covjeksirena6966 Ducky's one is cool but I don't know, it doesn't make it for photorealism to me. I must admit I don't really like it (even though it's good but it can't compete with Sanctus imo)

    Hi Justin! Thank you so much for this review. It was exactly what I was looking for!

    Sanctus is probably the best procedural materials addon for Blender.

      It definitely is a pretty good collection - now with the extra information on what works well with Cycles, what works well with Eevee, etc, that makes it a lot better too :)

    I still have a little to learn on the licensing how that stuff works but what if you want personal first and then down the road you want commercial for Addons in general, is it the full price again or would they offer a smaller price?

    • @Leegitisduy
      @Leegitisduy 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I’ve just bought it recently, and it’s showing the additional cost of $10 for upgrading to commercial

    Can these materials be baked into diffuse, normal, and specular maps while retaining their quality? I'm new to video game modding and would like to use these if I can but I don't want to buy it unless I know for sure I'll be able to transfer it over into the game as they look in blender.

    I only just noticed the dog you have in your picture is bizarrely close to the dog in blender, I'm wondering now if you also have a pet monkey called Suzan ?

      I don't understand - the materials are in the add-on

    Do you think this may be better than Realtime Materials, from Ducky3D? Im not sure which of these 2 I should get. Thanks!

      im also wondering the same thing, did you get any info on this?

      @junky151 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have both and have to say Realtime Materials are a bit easier to use but don't look as good and aren't as detailed as Sanctus Library. Also Sanctus Library is growing much faster, I had way more updates in the last two years. I would say Sanctus Library is the better value for money.

      They both have a free version. After trying both I went with this, straight away.

      This is better to me, because it has additional tools like Decal tool, different masks in the shader editor, baking tool etc.
