    Learning that I could combine painted textures with image and procedural textures (which I had been using near-exclusively for months) was by far one of the most exciting things I’ve ever been told I could do. Really excited to utilize these in combination with each other for my next project!

    man I wish I knew the basic variety of geometry node possibilities, like how you taught here about how one of the ways to procedurally mask materials is by targeting the denser areas of vertices with that bevel dot matrix stuff. the texture painting workflow was a relief to learn about though. great stuff as usual smeaf!

    i have to say that texture blending via painting a mask is amazing, in november i made an an enemy model for my game and i used a lava texture with a rock texture and for the first time i discovered (myself BTW) that i can simply blend between em with a painted texture (because i already knew that black and white images can be used as values from 1 - 0 and that's what the mix shader uses to blend), and wow its amazing
    and a few days ago i discovered how to use noise maps in Blender and i legit made a texture for a scorpion i've been working on without downloading a texture (and then i also baked it)... and its AMAZING for indie devs like me
    procedural textures is amazing... EPIC VIDEO

    Hey, I love your content, it really helps me a lot to study blender and I have a question. When you were making a keyboard commercial do you have all ready-made whole keyboard model by company or do you had to make it all by your self?

    • @SafetyFirstToolFans.94
      @SafetyFirstToolFans.94 ปีที่แล้ว

      In one of hisother videos he mentions that when you're working with a client it's very dependent. So in some cases a company or individual might have a set of materials ready for you- or perhaps another comp/individual may expect you to be making them yourself.
      The key to finding out and also deciding if it is worth your efforts (or even something you can reasonably accomplish) is by asking them questions about what they are looking for and what they have. It also might help to offer them honest options based on what work you can do and what quality it could have in a given timeframe. Other times maybe they (or even YOU) have deadlines to meet. Questions
      (Fwiw I'm interested in knowing about that particular keyboard too though. Hah)

    How much time does it get to you to edit your vidoes

      This vid took fr about 3 days to edit
      However, the prep before hand was immaculate and because of circumstances, I was working on the edit for 24 hours straight at one point.
