Welding Rock Sliders INTO The Body Of My Jeep Cherokee XJ

Gain ground clearance and rigidity in a Jeep XJ unibody by welding your sliders directly into the body! Jeep XJ unibodies can weaken and twist overtime due to hard off roading. Cutting out my rocker panels, welding my sliders directly to the body, and bracing them back to the frame should add a tremendous amount of strength to this chassis. And provide a great place to tie in a roll cage!

I literally just did this to my XJ today! I was a little nervous about cutting out my perfectly good rockers but I’m glad I did as it was full of mud and sand in there 😂

Just build the tank skid. You're on 37s already... Unless you plan to make this a tube buggy, the retained space will be good to have in the future.
