I love that you came back to do a different look at the song you first reacted to. It's beautiful symmetry. I was a fan of Kenny way back in that crazy time machine to the late 60s. If you haven't heard him with the First Edition, well please go there. It was a rock band, with a little soul and country influence. We think of him as a grand old gentleman, but my first experience of him was long hair, earring, pink glasses, playing bass (yes he played bass) and sharing lead vocals. Kenny and the First Edition also had their own musical variety show for a couple of years in the early 70s. Boy, you got me going. You know I still have my "Greatest Hits" he was talking about from 1980. This performance just plain makes me happy.

Absolutely beautiful!!! Kenny and Lionel had a very special bond. It’s evident from this performance. It’s amazing what that song did for Kenny’s career. Friend of mine just passed away on Sunday from an overdose. He and his wife and I we go to karaoke all the time and this song is one that he would sing for his wife. Tonight a friend of mine sang the song at a karaoke gig for my friend. His wife sent me a video tape that she had done of my friends singing the song one night at karaoke. I couldn’t help but cry! This song is so special! I love your reaction and that you use this particular performance to react to it.

I like the format you used for this reaction in 👍🏾. The on stage comradery was wonderful. I remember when the commodores were to have a show in Jamaica and Lionel did show, he had left the group. We heard that he wouldn't be there a few hour before the show, our tickets were already purchased. I was still a teenager you know how disappointed I was, we still when to the show though. Smh
