The Smoothness of Lionel was so Super Naturally Incomparable and when the pausing in and out of Kenny was like the in-between emotional feeling that one has way deep down inside the heartbeat of love when it is truly real and cannot ever be denied with every breath of air that one can have. When Lionel left the commodores Kenny called him up and invited Lionel to come live with him in his guest house. Lionel lived at Kenny’s mansion for three or four years. They became like brothers until Kenny passed away. You should hear the tape of Lionel telling stories of the adventures Kenny and him had together one vacation he talks about Kenny talked him into they jumped on Kenny’s boat and headed to the Bahamas. He said they where heading out when everyone was heading in because of a hurricane warning in the area. Lionel said he never went on a vacation again with Kenny lol. They truly loved their friendship and their respect for each other and it shows in that video. RIP Kenny and thanks Lionel for telling us about the love you had for each other.

I have watched this video many times. Every time it brings tears to my eyes, especially since Kenny has now passed. Two greats, Kenny and Lionel. I once watched a video on TH-cam with Lionel talking about them going on vacation together. It was hilarious. Lionel said "never again" lol.
Growing up, my family only listened to Country Western music, so I didn't know there was any other kind of music. I had the biggest crush on Kenny, with that hair and his beard, and that VOICE. When I was 13, I got my own radio and started listening to other types of music, starting with Easy Listening. Daddy got orders for Nellis AFB in Las Vegas and there we went. i got a job at 15-1/2, receptionist for a precious metals firm 2 nights a week and 6 hours on Saturday. Lionel was on tour and he was coming to Vegas, so I bought my own ticket and went with my parents. IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! I didn't find out until about 10 years ago that Lionel wrote a lot of Kenny's songs. I love them both. My music tastes expanded to '80's Rock, to groups like Motley Crew, who were on tour and had a show 6 months later, the weekend after my 16th Birthday. I went to that one too!!! OMG!!!! SO INCREDIBLE!!! The only other concert I've been to was The Judds Reunion Tour in Tacoma, WA. Wynona actually brought her Harley on stage.
