    This video busted the myth about being vegan in entertainment mode. I know how much it is tiring to prepare such video. Recoding, editing, etc. Huge thumbs up for you and your crew Melissa. I have watched the ads until the end to support your channel. I am going to spread this with all my friends who are on the internet. Keep glowing girl. God bless you 🙏 🤗

    Love this! Yes, I have been asked the dreaded “protein question!” I am almost 2 years vegan (June is my vegan anniversary) I have felt better in these last two years than I have most of my life! 48 years old! I’ve had a few friends ask about going vegan, and I’m going to share this video with them. Informative and entertaining! Thx so much! 😁😜👍🏾🥰

    Such a great video!!!! Vegan for almost 6 years and feeling better than ever. Trying way more food than ever in my 50 years consuming animals, so glad I switched (in my case, I decided right after eating an omelette that it was going to be the very last piece of animal product, and I never went back).

    It was a real blessing (even though a touch more expensive) when i first went vegan years ago to keep a few cans of beans, lentils and chickpeas in my pantry. I started with a rotation of three main meals that i got good at. Made many hummus and salad sandwiches, breakfast was almost always oatmeal and berries but you know what- once i had those down pat plus foods i ate that were already vegan it was easy. The hardest thing then (and now) is when non vegans try to feed us and they mean so well and we all turn em down. But thats pretty standard i think.

    I was told by a lot of different articles that for someone with osteoporosis they should be eating fish in cans like sardines and mackerel because they have the bones that you need to eat. And they all say not to have calcium supplements because it is correlated with heart disease. So if you're vegan how do you get that natural calcium you need without eating the fish?

    • @ChoosingMyHealth
      @ChoosingMyHealth  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A plant-based diet is full of calcium rich foods, including: tofu, kale, almonds, broccoli, beans, tempeh, greens, seaweed, and so much more! 🥦🥬🥜

    I turned a vegetarian the first day of January this year, and I’ve been steering towards a full plant based diet. Giving up cheese has been the hardest thing and it is the ONLY thing holding me back from being fully plant based. Do you have any tips because I’m in desperate need of it?

    I know it's a lifestyle and this is about optimizing health, but I'm afraid to go completely vegan and/or alkaline due to losing my curves lol. I've always been a late bloomer and I don't want to feel insecure anymore in this life 🤞🏽😆.... HELP!!

    • @serenedione
      @serenedione 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Livetoeat171 I don't want to lose weight on my butt hips or thighs that is correct I would like to look like a woman and keep my curves if that's okay with you I know what the gym is for hence the reason I have a membership. If you're not going to offer advice on how to do it please do not reply good day.

    • @ChoosingMyHealth
      @ChoosingMyHealth  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Serene Dione: Honey I get it! I too was a late bloomer!!! Be of good cheer-you can keep the curves and still optimize your health 🤗 I’ll be transparent though… when I transitioned I naturally lost unnecessary weight. Which was a good thing! But that also meant there wasn’t any room to lose anymore without losing the curves. There was one time when I was overworking and lost a lot of weight because of the stress. I hardly ate and and I legit looked like a skeleton. Hubby had to give me a whole avocado a day in my smoothies. I bounced back when I started to eat. If you’re concerned though, make sure you eat ENOUGH calories and that you eat healthy- no 1 meal a day business 😅 Eat abundantly. Eat foods high in fat like avocado, nuts and seeds. Eat lots of protein rich foods too like tofu, tempeh and beans. And track your food intake so you know how much you’re consuming. Also! Couple this with weight training… (make sure you’re eating a lot when you do) those curves will be right and tight 😝

      @@ChoosingMyHealth First and foremost, thank you so much for responding, I really appreciate it!!! Naturally I knew I would have to lose it all (well most) in order to gain I suppose I wanted a shortcut 😏. I've definitely lost it all due to stress prior to gaining again, come to think of it I was so much more confident when I was smaller w/ no waist 🤭. I will definitely be watching every video and following your recommendations, thank you for the laughs, tips and for your honesty and transparency!!! 🤗❤️
