I used to own a vegan restaurant and also worked as a chef at an all plant based wellness center and so many non vegan people loved the food and opened up to incorporating more plant foods into their lifestyle. So many people have the misconception that healthy vegan food taste bad so it’s always nice when people come up to me and ask for the recipe
Vegan Gym, GQ edition! One of my must-haves are vegan TH-cam content creators, I appreciate what they do and the inspiration they give me for living healthily and for the recipes!
It seems i find a new vegan youtuber every week who makes me feel proud and excited that i went vegan two years ago (or, one year 11 months if you wanna get specific). I love you content, your positivity, and your attitude towards health and the lifestyle!
I like that you helped so many people convert to veganism. Thus helping them be healthier and bonus...you developed vegan friends. I need to work on that. Especially with the people I love. Thanks for another insightful and entertaining video!!
Awesome video! Reading about the benefits of veganism is really what got me into this way of eating in the first place. Dr. Michael Greger's "How Not to Die" was THE book that did it for me. He is definitely a vegan superhero. Thanks for always making great content!
Thank you for all you do to help other Vegans like myself…I’ve received a lot of valuable information from you!! What is the name of the nonstick fry pan with the wooden handle?? Looks like very good quality and I’d like to purchase one.😊
Hey there, love your content. Asking as a dentist; please provide your rationale for the non-fluoridated toothpaste. This is unfortunately an extremely common talking point among “influencers” that very few fully understand. While some ppl are okay without fluoride, I commonly see misinterpretation causing more harm than good
Thank you for sharing your perspective 🙂 I appreciate your input! I don’t question the benefits of fluoride use in reducing the risk of dental caries. But based on the research I’ve done, the benefits of fluoride use (reducing the risk of dental caries) generally don’t outweigh the potential risks (nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea for acute cases of fluoride toxicity and renal and cardiac dysfunction, coma, and ultimately death for severe cases). Based on my understanding, it really comes down to how much fluoride is ingested, which is why I am heavily opposed to water fluoridation, especially as an athlete who consumes a lot of water (I use a fluoride filter for my water for this reason). But if fluoride is used topically and not ingested, I am not opposed to fluoride use. And I am by no means an expert in this subject, which is why I recommended in my video that everyone do their own research. I would be very curious to know how much fluoride is ingested by adults on average from fluoride-containing toothpaste and mouthwash. I am not aware of any such research. Then, I would want to understand if that average ingestion level poses health risks. Perhaps this is only a real issue for children as more than 80% of fluoride toxicity is seen in children before the age of 6 years. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
@@TheVeganGym thanks for your reply. Rather than writing an essay about the potential risks/benefits of fluoride, I find it more effective to recommend an alternative. Nano-hydroxyapatite toothpastes are showing a lot of promise, and while they don’t yet have “long-term” data, not much does in the world of toothpaste (other than fluoride). Hydroxyapatite is a component of our enamel, and it’s pretty neat that we can just scrub our teeth with something similar and it works well according to current literature.
Instead of asking for his rationale, you should have just given your recommendation. He wouldn't have needed to write an essay and you wouldn't be wasting your precious time reading something that you had no interest in anyway
"Allright if you have seen any of my other video's, you know I am pretty much a nerd" I love this video so much ❤ I thouht it wasn't something for me, although I follow you and am Vegan for some time now. But this video is absolutely fun to watch. Enjoyed it so much 😊
Checked out True Nutrition and they look amazing. I’m 100% believer in clean personal care products. I love the Native and Dr Bronners brands. Dr B has an amazing shaving soap
This is amazing, I discovered Baru nuts about 4 years ago, I am addicted, they are not only very tasty and versatile, they are extremely nutrient dense and most importantly for me eco and socially friendly, they are wild harvested from Brazil. Highly recommended.
Thank you for this video it’s really needed. New Vegans like me need more assistance with non-food vegan options. Please do more videos on options for vegan soap, lotion, deodorants, clothes, etc.
Hi there Word for thought non stick pans are not the best to used I understand you don’t like the oil, but air frying would be the better option. I have seen best option for me is master chef I think you had that pan there, the only downfall the pan gets ugly . Now with the aluminum, try to change it to parchment paper as aluminum is not the best for you . I do love your videos but we can always help each other in this journey . Best of luck ! 🤞
I’am new with starting my journey on plant based! I did keto for years! Eat eggs everyday ! I was afraid of carbs! I missed my love for oatmeal! I make oatmeal with walnuts ! Flax ! Chia! Peanut butter! What plant based protein powder are you using?? I’m still struggling ordering in restaurants! I’ve been basically ordering salads with chicken! I Know I should give up chicken! I love burgers!
Thank you for your comment! I love oatmeal so much, and carbohydrates are important for fueling our body. 💪🌱 I really enjoy True Nutrition's vegan protein powder, but there are many fantastic brands! Navigating restaurants can be difficult at first, but it does get easier. 😃 I've been surprised how often just asking for a list of vegan options can bring up choices I never would have guessed from the menu alone! You got this! ❤
Hi. New subscriber here🎉🎉🎉. Absolutely love your guys' content. I had no idea you could eat so well and get buff as a vegan until I saw your videos. Now I'm watching and rewatching everything you put out. It would be awesome if you guys did a 4 day high protein (2500 cal) meal prep video on a weekly basis. I want to do this lifestyle but because I'm new I'm afraid I'll end up having the same stuff and get burnt out but that would help hold my hand until I feel confident enough to branch out on my own.
they made a high-protein meal guide a few weeks ago. It was based around 1800 calories but that could be a good place to start then just bulk up your meals with an extra 250 calories or so
Hi Leif, another great video!! I'm still going strong, day #227 now, and not looking back!!! Lol, yep.... Bacon was my crutch, but I seriously don't even miss it now!
That's fantastic! I'm so happy you enjoyed the video. 😁 Be proud of yourself for making the switch! 🌱❤Your body, the planet, and the animals all thank you!
Thank you so much! I like to hydrate my soy curls in water (you can even hydrate them in sauce), and then throw them in the air-fryer along with some veggies such as chopped red-pepper. 😋
I live in Oklahoma and have no vegan friends, lol. That's ok, I don't mind as much as I used to. I just wanted to say thay they are coming out with alot of vegan and cruelty free personal care products that don't use plastic. It's a big step in helping our environment. Native deodorant is amazing and has metal and cardboard containers. I also use Bite toothpaste tabs without the flouride and no plastic. I love your videos and advice. Thank you for doing what you do!
Welcome to Oklahoma. If you are in the Oklahoma city area the vegan group I'm in is having a meet up Wensdsday December 13th, 5:30 at parlor. It would be amazing if you could join us.
I was thinking if I went anywhere without my ninja idk what I would do it's my life. It blends, shreds, spirals, slicing, pulse, smoothie bowl mode. Like it's my mini sous chef
Great video! I love my Vitamix, smoothie bowls, protein, and workout gear. And vegan friends are the best ❤️ I especially loved the final pew pew at the end 👉👈 We need to petition for a double finger gun emoji! 🤣
Another suggestion for deodorant that is something I feel like I can never go back from now that I've done - make your own using coconut oil, arrowroot powder, and baking powder. You can add your own favorite essential oil if you want a scent (I personally like using patchouli). It's stuff that most of us have in our cabinets anyway so they serve a double purpose, plus it's so ridiculously cheap and sustainable. You only need to just smear a tiny little bit of it on and it works extremely well!!
Plant based is a pretty loose term. You can technically say, "I eat a primarily plant based diet" and still eat animal products occasionally (they just wouldn't be the center of your meals). Veganism, on the other hand, isn't just a diet, but a lifestyle where you don't consume or buy any animal products. I say I'm a bad vegan because I cook vegan (with the exception of honey in tea) & try to purchase vegan beauty products, but not everything I eat or use is 100% vegan. No one is perfect though, so if your goal is to go vegan, focus on adding more vegan meals instead of subtracting certain ingredients, like egg whites
Just a question for the protein powder. Isn’t whey protein; milk and the Animal rennet is from cow in the whey protein. I just want to know is this vegan?? I want to understand
There are plenty of plant-based protein powders made from soy, pea, pumpkin, quinoa, lentils, and many other foods. Vegans do not eat whey protein. Thanks for asking 🙂

No hair gel?
