@@321bytor A lot of modern music, mostly made by certain producers from certain record labels, put in a lot of things into songs witch makes them not very fun to listen to. Altho most of the time they are catchy or are using some things that is populair/trending, it just makes me dislike populair music even more.
So this kind of music just feels somewhat refreshing.

@@nwerd7584 I don't think that's what he means. They have vulgarity and profanity in there songs and even a song about "friendly" cousins. I think he means no distortion or autotune even though I think I got little autotune vibe on the chorus of this one.
When my country was invaded, I volunteered and mobilized into the army in March 2022. After a year on the frontline, I was demobilized and tried to adapt back to civilian life. This week, I received news of my former unit deployed near Avdiivka and 20 people, whom I knew very well and served with, already missing in action. Hearing the music and the lyrics, I was able to cry for the first time in months. Thank you for that.

Great new song. I love there's many "lead" singers in this band. It prevents a predictable one sound, but never heard a bad song from thses guys. Their covers of classic rock songs are amazing!

I was a late comer to The Dead South too. Radio stations don't play their music as much as they should. If it hadn't been for the Umbrella Academy on Netflix and the Shazam app.... I fear I would be missing out.
I just want it on record I’ve been complaining about lack of Danny lead songs for years lol. But fr, Danny’s vocal contributions, since the beginning, have been so underrated. At first, I thought TDS was 2 guys harmonizing, but the more I listened, the more I heard Danny. And just how important Danny’s voice was in that actual 3 part harmony. He has always had a beautiful, soulful voice. And they have really always been doing 3 part harmonies, lately 4 with Colton singing more. My ear can’t pick up ALL the nuances that make this band genius, but ya just gotta appreciate and give props to one that is so talented.

One of the best with Poor man’s Poison.
I do like The Dead South but there are an absolute crap ton of great bands in this genre. Trample by Turtles, Devil Makes Three, Mean Mary, The Builders and the Butchers, The Heavy Horses, The Graveyard Train to name a few.
I've been following The Dead South's musical production for years, and it's very satisfying to see the band's maturity. Congratulations!

Was so blessed to see them live in their home country 🇨🇦 at a small music festival in northwestern ontario, before they were famous!! Amazing talent, they were playing so hard they were busting guitar strings & a close friend of mine was replacing strings as fast as she could!!
