Great review thank you. I bought one last week. It's a 2023 model with 1600 km on the clocks. Why did I buy it? It''s beautiful with it's red and white livery, it fits me perfectly, it's good on fuel and it is not too powerful. I get home happier and more relaxed then when I drive my car and my wife said to me yesterday that it was nice to have the old me back.. It's been a pretty awful couple of years after a heart attack and a broken shoulder, where I have struggled to remain positive. Thank you to RE for making such a wonderful motorcycle and bringing life back to me!
Warning: DON'T take the Scram for a test ride. If you do, you'll buy one....like I did! It really is old school charm personified, with a 'modern', reliable engine and no oil leaks. Don't say you weren't warned.
Called into my local bike shop just to look as the saying goes😂 I sat on the Scram 411 and bought it! No test ride required as I had seen this review and others. I wasn’t disappointed with my purchase it’s as Jack described and better, it’s a truly amazing product, I think big adventure bikes have had their day and bikes like this 411 are the common sense ride for an adventure ride. They are very manageable in a situation and travel at adequate speeds on road and easy to work on with inexpensive part’s. The engine is under stressed and will be relatively reliable with 100,000 miles possibilities before a engine rebuild. ❤
I did the same! My wife wanted to start riding after a 15 year lay off. We looked at the Scram, no test ride. We both fell in love with it…. and bought 2 of them 🥳
After assorted GS beemers, big tigers , v strom"s , versys and guzzi v85tt I collect my new 411 scram tomorrow fed up of bullshit massive service costs and looking at letter box for 2 weeks every time I go out. Time to go old school cheap fun motorcycle that you don't have to plug in and you can service yourself. Thanks for great video just what I wanted to hear.
I’m becoming a RE convert, I bought my Himalayan just before Christmas and ride it every opportunity I get. Today I took the bike in to get some warranty work done and was offered any bike to ride whilst mine was being looked at. I chose the Classic 350 and must say what a pleasant motorcycle it was apart from the wide foot pegs that were fitted to the demo bike( I had size 10 boots on) which made it difficult to change up. The 411cc engine certainly has more punch than the 349cc but the feel and handling were superb and I immediately felt at home on it.
Hi Dave yes the wide foot pegs are a bit of a no no on the 350. They are supposed to be angled in such a way that a natural gap is created to make it easier to change gear. It doesn’t work. I had the same problem on the demo bike I had. Great bike though 👍
thank you for talking to us. what the bike makes you think and feel is very useful to a potential purchaser and can not be included in a spec sheet. also hearing the bike is better than some awful music. So well done and thanks. this was useful to me. cheers from the other side of the world roy
Wow great video and what a calming voice lol, proper smoothie 😂😂 But everything you said is true , what a strange feeling riding the scram ?? I have a 2022 BMW 1250GS ADVENTURE and I kid you not , I had as much fun riding the scram ! I think its because its cheap and cheerful , no pressure. I test drove the scram , Himalayan and Hunter , all 3 had bags of character, after riding the first one which was the Himalayan I knew I would be buying one of these 3 , I just liked the red scram best , it seemed a little quicker . These boke ooz charm 😉👍
Hi Jack just came across your channel with this vid and really enjoyed it. I have a 2022 Himi and absolutely love it, great handling particularly on smaller country roads and tracks, 100+ mpg and just about enough power (am planning on new airfilter/exhaust and camshaft from tecbikeparts though). Just love her to bits ...
70 is fine but there's this steep 5 mile dual carriageway i go on that can get a bit of a headwind and i'd love one of these but will it get me up there at 70 i dunno. My old 125 could do 75 but usually i was down to 55 up there. I'm guessing this is just limited to 75 and could go up hills quite well with the bigger engine. I rarely go over the speed limit but it annoys me when i can't reach it :)
@@JackBonhamMotorcycles Yup. Every review I see is saying the same. Enfield have really upped their game recently. I might even be persuaded to do a little light green lane riding...
Hi Jack, another great review for the Enfield's. In hindsight would you still buy the T120 when for the money you could have 2 / 3 x Enfields? I'm very tempted to trade in the 120 I have. Love the retro rides of the classic or bullet but still interested in the Scram too. BFN
Hi Clive. Interesting question I have asked myself a few times. I’m still glad I purchased the T120. I already had the bullet at the time and wanted a true modern classic to replace the XSR 900. I didn’t have space for more than two bikes at that time and the interceptor was too much of a drop power wise. RE bikes have improved quite a bit since I ordered my T120 in very early 2020. If I was looking to have a few different bikes today though I would choose the classic 350, the SCRAM and the interceptor and I could probably get all three for £15k. 👍
Hi has soon has they come available I’ve got mine on the 17th of June granite Matt Gray and red haven’t stopped riding it yet just under a 1000 miles do a few had ons front mud guard rises by 15mm rear brake master cylinder heel protector get you’ll never regret it 👍👍🙏

So true! I bought mine without a test ride 😃!
I just got a Meteor... Delighted with it but maybe the Scram would be a better all rounder for me.. I do enjoy the odd trail...
*Crap Game*
This is exactly what happened to me, minus the test ride. Saw one at the dealership, was back a day later to buy it.
I took it for a test drive yesterday… I can’t stop thinking about her, I miss her now and I decided that I’m going to buy it… Don’t do the same!

must be best value bike on the market Jack . looks great in that colour to.
Hi Andy. Yes it is great in the red and white. Fabulous fun all rounder for the price of many 125s. 👍
Thought I would like the classic/meteor… tried the INTERCEPTOR 650… Then tried this because I had some time to kill… Bought it🤣 Best Royal Enfield!

Forgive me but I can't see the point in turning off the ignition, and then turning off the engine kill switch 🤔
