    Have owned over 30 bikes in my riding life. The Scram has been my commuter, 20 miles per day, for the last 2 years. Costs me around £7 per week to run and has been perfect. Although I will be getting a new bike this year, the Scram will be staying.

    I've owned one for nearly a year. Pretty satisfied so far! I use it as a daily commuter, on a rather long , curvy steep road.No complaints .Oftentimes with a heavy pillion, there it struggles a bit,I got to play with 2nd and 1st gear. Again my mate is 18 stones and I'm 12 stones. I've done some quite long road trips with my GF, side panniers, top bag, and pretty decent, we've done some light off road, it went well. Motorway speeds went reasonably well. All in all a proper bike for the price. Lacks horse power to be honest, when on it many times I wish I had some more power, not bags of it, but just some more. Looking forward to upgrading, the new Himalayan is top on the list, I reckon it has that little extra power that the Scram lacks and needs. I live in Colombia by the way. Lots of hills in my neck of the woods for good and worse, so extra HP and Torque are always welcome. Thanks a million Kate, I love your videos

    Back to the basics is what first comes to mind when I think of this bike. A bike with no frills and laces, that does just that what it says on the packet (and on the price tag) with no ifs and buts.
    Scram 411, the thrills of riding, with the wind in your face, on an economical every day bike..., love it !

    A nice little bike without the "you just bought my used bike with flaws hidden" problem.
    Some have found upgrading the brake pads makes an improvement (on any bike).
    Your spirit is never dampened Kate.

    Great video Kate i just love the fact that one day your on a Ducati that looks and costs a million dollars then the next your on a budget bike costing buttons yet you see the joy in every bike you test. I'd personally wait for the 450 version this one being a bit underpowered for me.

      Thanks Ian. I just love anything 2 wheels (except peddle bikes as I'm not very fit haha!) Yea, i think the 450 is a welcomed boost of power!

    As an owner… I agree. Love the riding position, comfortable seat and suspension, mechanical simplicity and compact size. Great tank range, will comfortably do 110-115 kilometres/h all day long if you like. If the road should become unpaved, you have the Himalayan ADV roots to manage gravel roads as well. A really great all rounder at an unbeatable price.

    I love my Scram 411. I've owned mine for 2 years now and its my go to bike in the garage. I've convinced myself that the bike is plenty powerful and it is, if you know how to ride it. It doesn't have the pick up to overtake when travelling at decent road speeds but it does get you there. Its a great bike however I would consider a new Scram 450 if this comes out on the market in the future...?? or not..??

    I went out on my Scram 411 earlier today, for about 5 - 6 hours riding.
    I must say it is a very versatile, capable, little bike. You have to plan for overtaking though. 😊 I do not have the Scram as a second bike. I have my Harley as my second bike! 😂

    Was tempted by the Scram but bit smaller than the Himalayan. One thing is not so keen on is the Himmys screen so the lack of screen on the Scram is a plus.
    Oh the stock seat on the Himalayan is bad. (Now have a sheepskin)
    P.s lookswise think my fav advs at the moment are Rieju and Kove. Only a week now to hopefully see them.

    I've got about 4,400 miles on mine. One of my favorite features is the 71 mpg (3.3 liters/100 km). Another is that you don't have to go fast to have fun on this bike. I had an 1150 GS that, while a wonderful bike in so many ways, got was somewhere in the neighborhood of 48 mpg (4.9 liters/100 km) and it was an absolute bore to ride below 45 mph. Highway miles/highway speeds, I'd choose the GS, but for just about everything else the Scram does everything I need. And I've driven each bike in excess of 400 miles in a day (640 km). My least favorite feature is the tripper -- it can do very limited turn-by-turn to one destination okay, but you can't set waypoints, and (as far as I can tell) the software for the app hasn't been updated in more than a year. Every time I see them laud the tripper as a feature, I just see it as a bug, an opportunity missed, and I'd much rather have a tachometer. I have a Garmin Navi and a phone that will each talk to my Cardo, so I don't really need the tripper, but it would be nice if it worked well.

      One more... The headlight's almost useless. I replaced mine with an LED bulb, and I added auxiliary lights that I mounted beneath the headlight, removing the Royal Enfield badge that fills the spot that's used in India for mounting the front license plate. Now I get a plenty of light.

    Nice one Kate.
    With this bike you get what you pay for and you know it when you buy it....
    You just have to take it for what it is, a low budget low powered bike you can have lots of fun riding on A & B roads. But Yes a few more HP would not go a miss 🙂

    If I was looking for a second bike this size, I'f buy a Scram. Plenty for sale in Thailand. However, I already have a Mk2 KTM 390 Duke. Good review.

    I kinda like the styling on them, like you say, gives them a bit of character,makes a nice change from the plastic fantastic "transformers robots in disguise" look you see everywhere else!! Seems a very useable practical bike and as with all Enfields very competivly priced 🤔😊

    Great review, professional as always. For me though the 450 would make more sense, these 411 lumps barely crack 20bhp on the dyno.

    Brakes and soft suspension are one of my bugbears.
    With brakes I reckon it's more about how much weight has to be pulled up.
    To the manufacturers. If one won't do it with decent feel put a second disc on it or get better components for the single you intend to sell it with.
    Suspension is a bit of dark art given that there's likely to be quite a wide range of body weights to accommodate but I've had wallowy suspensions back when I was a 70kg lightweight let alone the considerably more substantial gent that I am now 🤷🏻‍♂ but good progressive springs do exist.
    I think some riders need to accept that they might need to spend a bit more to get that sorted out but also it shouldn't be a big deal for manufacturers to offer a spring or spring unit designed to work with a different weight range of rider so that it doesn't fall into the "it's all too hard" category and can be easily swapped out for something more appropriate.
    It's always disappointing when you see that the accountants got the last say in areas so important to safety.

    Might just be me but I prefer watching you test bikes like this on the roads at speeds they will be ridden at by most owners. The recent street fighter test you did riding with the other girls not once going over 60 was painful to watch. Yes I know why you go that slow and understand but how can you honestly know what that bikes really like at that speed? I have several bikes and one is an interceptor and in reality that's fast enough for the UK roads.

      There's nothing wrong with men riding low powered small machines. In that sense they are unisex. The problems arise when women ride larger capacity machines with more power than they can handle. Just don't do it. Stay in your lane and know your limits 👍👍👍

    Hm, let's see, pros, no one would ever want to steal it. Like the Sinnis 125 would be ideal as a ships anchor. Those crash thingy's would make good towing points when it breaks down out on the trails. You'll seldom get a speeding ticket but opposingly the zombie hoards will most likely catch you. Will keep Royal Enfield mechanics gainfully employed. Sure there's more... 🤔

    Pointless, spend the money on a second-hand European or Japanese bike with four or five times the power. Car drivers don't want to go back to the 1950s, I don't understand why some bikers do.

      @@millinutz If you measure this bike in terms of cost per horsepower it's probably the most expensive bike in the marketplace. All I expect are modern levels of power & performance and you can easily get those secondhand for the new price of a Scram.

      @@trailingarm63 There's no shortage of water-cooled, high revving, plastic coated, digitally enhanced motorcycles for people who like that sort of thing. This air-cooled thumper is for people who don't. Choice is a wonderful thing.

      A Japanese bike with four or five times the power would not be suitable at all, and probably would left me stranded or injured on the many places I take my Scram. It's a perfect bike for steep mountain tracks but still has the comfort and looks to use it as a daily commuter for work.
