Thank you, it's been a wonderful journey watching these even though I sort of binge watched this series. But glad to hear it has turned out good in the end.
great video of scram michael, easy to understand, informative & truthful i,m sure. my neighbour & i waiting for delivery of our new scrams this week, at 61 i think i,m going to enjoy what the bike offers! Thank you again. gareth.
I've ordered one. I'm a motorcycle instructor and feel that this is ideal for trundling around behind learners. Also, I fit that mature demographic that appreciates something a bit less. I also find it really attractive to look at. Reminds me a bit of the old BSA Victor.
I’ve been waiting for this to come to the US as it seems perfect for my type of riding which is mostly back roads. And if some of those back roads happen to be dirt or gravel, even better.
Nail well n truly hit on the head sir...i had few xl 250s..r..xrs back in the day morned the loss of simple duel purpose bike...thats why i bought a himalayan in 2019 and wow it is a modern XL...brilliant..👌
I like your take on the Scram. A working bike that you don't have to polish. It is in the running for my city bike purchase, although I am interested in the water cooled replacements that R.E. are apparently working on.
I have a bullet 500 but I am tempted to trade it in for the scram as I have test ridden the scram and loved it but I just love the bullet so much difficult choice Great review by the way.
Wait for sometime Himalayan going to launch meteor 650, Himalayan-650,scram450 with advance features like riding modes, traction control and many more.More bikes are coming back to back.Affordable to buy .
With the TEC updated cam you get an extra 20% of power. For me it’s fine as it is… for the money you can’t go wrong and knowing the hard life the bikes get in India, on their roads I’m sure it’s going to be able to offer the owners years of service on uk roads even with our potholed roads 😂. It’s a no nonsense bike that does what it says on the tin and more! Itchy boots rode her Himalayan for miles & miles on her journey around the world on her Royal Enfield. I’m sure nipping to the beach or to work will be a breeze for the Scram 411. It’s a great bike that’s been refined and this iteration of the Himalayan is a good all round bike.
Hello Michael, good review I actually rode the Meteor and the Scram today to decide which one to buy. I think for me the Scram has the upper hand.................maybe!
Just watched this again. Ive decided I like this bike, but it's 32 kg heavier than m KTM 390 Duke. I like the 411's utiltarian style. You're correct about that. It could do with a rev counter. My favourite RE, I think. Have you ridden the 350 Hunter? I like that, too. I was wondering which one has more low-down shove.
Thanks for watching it again . Haven’t ridden a hunter yet but will test one soon . It has the same engine as the classic and the meteor so suspect I have an idea of how it will go unless the gearing and fuelling is significantly different . I recall that I was impressed by the extra performance the 411 engine offered over the 350 . It is the initial torque that makes the difference . 👍
Having ridden both motorcycle's can you help me with your opinion on which one is better in terms of engine smoothness, comfort and overall balance. I am trying to choose between the Scram and the Classic 350. I like how they both ride. I don't plan to do any serious off-roading. However roads in India are kind of an off-road trail by themselves😅
Different bikes really Jijo . The Scram is faster and would cope well with off road trail . Both easy to ride . riding balance is of course influenced by your personal body shape and dimensions. I find trail style bikes very comfortable but others don't.? It will come down to your personal preference ? Have fun !
The Mash is , to my eye , the more striking of the two with its anodised wheels , handle bars and front fork legs and clearly takes styling influences from the iconic XT 500 . More power but another £1000 to buy . For an everyday or regular use bike, I suspect the Scram would be easier to live with ?
the mash X ride is nowhere near the fit and finish of any RE, nor as reliable, nor does it have the dealer network of RE. While it looks nice, you ll end up tryna replace cheap parts with better ones by yourself
If you see Scram or Himalayan with no scratches, you should feel exactly the same as when meeting 36 old never married girl. Most probably head is overheated and warped, that's why she's never ridden.
Thank you, it's been a wonderful journey watching these even though I sort of binge watched this series. But glad to hear it has turned out good in the end.
Glad you enjoyed them Joaquim 👍
Sounds a well balanced review from an experienced biker Thank you. (70 yrs old Meteor owner)
Thank you Anthony . Hope you are enjoying your meteor 👍

Thank you Gareth . Glad you enjoyed it . Have fun on your Scrams!
I,m sure we will michael👍

Pleasure to add that 411th thumbs up.
Before buying a Scram, altogether.

Another superb review of a great new bike from Royal Enfield. Thank you for such an informative video.

Mature rider. 10 plus bikes over 30yrs. Finally a cheap, new, versatile bike... that I can't lose my licence on...😄
😂 You could but would need to go flat out in a 30 …

Yes , I agree. A very capable and versatile , no nonsense bike .
Wonderful looking bike I also like the one in silver, Great review!
Thank you John 👍

@@michaelmam Thanks, Michael. Nick
Edit: It's 22 kg heavier than my 390, not 32 kg.
Interesting that every service after initial one is on 3k miles?
In my country they claim it's ok within 6kmiles/ 7k km
Very informative, thanks for the review

Would you choose this over the Mash X which has my vote 👍🏻

Yes
Good overview. I'd rather have a Caballero Scrambler 500. More expensive but much better.
But too tall for for those with shorter leg length
Cerakote the exhaust
Enfield should offer it
I test rode it the other day and I really don't like those mirrors 🤨

Efficient is fuel to miles
