There was a time when I was so keen on Grand Marnier that I filled a hip-flask with it. This was very bad for the lining of the hip-flask, which was designed for undiluted Jura Malt. But that's a perfect description of Toni's singing and I think she will be very flattered by it.
Me too, but man Toni really pulls the feel out of that guitar. I love these two, I will go to see them when the world turns back normal. Preferably at like a summer music fest.

Nice job! My husband said to me while we listened: “I played that song about a million times.” He’s a musician, now semi-retired after many years, about 15,000 hours on stage in the Twin Cities mostly, being trained (classic) in piano since age 5 and violin since age 9. He plays 5 instruments. We have our own music studio here in Iowa (Euphonic Studio, LLC) which we closed to the public due to pandemic. He has taught music since 1968. All this is to say we’re both music lovers, and we appreciate you so very much. We had fun singing along with you on this one. ~ Lori Parrish Niemi ~

My mom passed in 1981. I first heard this song just before she got sick... around 1977. I listened this around when she died... Love this version. thanks!!!!!
Ladies … how wonderful to listen to your music ! I grew up, listening to bluegrass, classic country music, and southern gospel quartet, singing ! Performing bluegrass, music, several years up and down the eastern seaboard of the United States. You’re excellent choice of music, songs, and presentation are superb. It is obvious, you are true musicians, and sing from the soul! A real pleasure to listen to you.
You two are perfect examples of the universe placing two people together whose innate spirit and talent give us this beautiful music. But as an old musician, what may not be apparent to some is the countless hours and endless dedication you've put in to hone your craft. So good. Can't wait for what's next.
Well spoken, Sir! As a musician having played for over 60 years I agree to each and every word you have spoken. I detected these gifted young ladies only some months ago for myself and since then I listen to all their videos, being more and more enthusiastic about the perfect craftsmanship combined with a simplicity that needs no big show, but comes from a big heart. Greetings from Hamburg Germany
I’m an old guy, so I love that you cover a lot of tunes from my younger years. I actually used to perform this tune in clubs in Southern California back in the 1970’s. Your original tunes are also amazing and very refreshing with some of the same qualities & done extremely well! Wishing you all well and many years of happy, creative music endeavors!
If your looking for heavenly voices and guitars you’ve come to the right place!!! The world really needs to show these beautiful and talented young ladies some love!!! Thank you Reina and Toni!!!
PPL played a venue in 1981 in Chilliwack BC Canada. They started at 7 pm and stopped at 3am. Played every song they new. Theirs and everyone else’s. It was a “Night to Remember”. Oh ya they played that as well … Prism
In HS when Bustin' Out released and on AOR FM stations they always seemed to play Fallen In And Out Of Love and Aime together. Two tracks together in the middle of the album and explains the very end of Aime.
Ladies, I've been listening to Amie for nearly 50 years. I still have my vinyl of Bustin' Out. I HAVE TO SAY: that Craig Lee Fuller would be very, very proud of your rendition. Reina: your vocals, especially on the outro, which is a coda of Fallin' In and Out of Love With You was quite impressive. It's such a tough vocal. And Toni, some pretty sweet picking on your guitar. FYI, the complete title of the song is just "Amie." NBD. Just shows that you two are human.
The solo is one of the best known in country rock music. Toni does a stellar job. I wonder if Toni would be willing to do a tutorial on that solo.It certainly would garner tons of views. Great job as always, guys. Anything less from you would surprise the snot out of me.
A fire in the hearth, snow on the ground, a cozy couch or bear skin rug, a warm drink and y'all singing Amie. A slice of heaven. For now, I love your rendition and the ease with which you present it. What a great performance.
I used to go into Amie's honky tonk in nashville early 1970s ... and would drop all my quarters into the juke box and play this song over and over and over ... it was the guitars that got me hooked then the harmonies. Amy told me one time, "if you play that damn song one more time, I'm throwing this beer mug at you." I just dropped more quarters. It got the song on all the old time nashville honky tonk's jukeboxes. (naww, that part is my imagination 😊). GREAT COVER, GREAT PICKING AND HARMONY.
This channel is a magical cleanser for all the heinous stuff in life we’re all bombarded with daily. Just a joyful purity in your performances that is truly calming. Thanks!

I would have been overjoyed to hear this cover with the three part harmony of the original and in doublette format (preceded by Falling In and Out of Love). Those two go hand-in-hand and should not be separated. I get it - its your creative effort and it is what it is. Yet I know I'm not alone in yearning to hear these two songs covered by your group with three beautiful voices with three guitars. I hope you'll consider recording it one more time in that way. I'm listening to this as part of Elise Trouw's mix. Two acoustic guitars, harmonies and magic happens. I'm sure you two don't know how great you are. You are laying down a body of music that will one day be considered classic. Reina singing the low notes, Toni's fingertips dancing across the strings. Pure magic.

Sounds great and...Karma! I was searching copies of this song a few years ago and stumbled onto Josh and Carson's version. Had no idea how the dominos would fall, but watched a few more of Josh's vids and then subscribed. Shortly Josh introduced me to Reina del Cid. Now here we are back at the beginning! Lastly, I used to do some singing and Amie was the last song I sang publicly. Crazy.
Hey Reina. I remember when I was a youngun and my Momma bought that Pure Prairie League album. I always loved this song and I just wanted to say you and Toni did it proud.👏 Thanks for always making my Sunday! See you next time.
Toni is a bonafide flatpicker, she's "Bluegrass Good," which is the highest compliment I can give to any guitar player.
Toni’s harmony hits you like sipping a heated snifter of Grand Marnier in the flickering shadows of the fire; warm, sweet, and comforting.

On point and nicely expressive. I like it.
