    Very helpful video, thank you! I received my mat last week and have used it every day for 20+ minutes each. I have fallen asleep on it several times. I find that even though I thought I could relax my body, this makes me even more aware of how and where I hold tension. I love it!

    • @ShaktiMat1
      @ShaktiMat1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It brings you into a really present awareness, doesn't it? Very similar to a meditative state where you simply notice the feelings in your body in a deeper sense than you normally would. Thanks for sharing your feedback, Chip! And so glad you've found a tool to help you find and relax that tension in your body.

    I got my Shakti mat last week, and it is much sharper and more effective than the acupressure mats Pro Source makes (my parents got me the Pro Source mat for christmas, but over the last 18 months, it hasn't been as effective as it used to be).
    My Shakti pillow came in this morning! I can't wait to use it today.

      How good to hear! The Shakti Mat is definitely a bit spikier than the other Mats on the market. Enjoy Shae!

    Took me 2-3 turns to really be able to last the 20 on the neck pillow - for a guy with short hair, I felt every spike - great though but be warned it harder to get used to. I actually felt with the combo above that the pain is sore on the back of the arms. Will take some getting used to I guess.

    what is a good way to use the mat and/or pillow to target the frenic nerve beneath the right trap?

    • @ShaktiMat1
      @ShaktiMat1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Hobbes,
      1. Lie down comfortably on your back and place The Shakti Acupressure Mat on a flat surface.
      2. Position The Mat/Pillow beneath your upper back, aligning it with the right side of your trapezius muscle, where the phrenic nerve is located.
      3. Gently lower your body onto The Mat, allowing the spikes or nodes to apply pressure to the targeted area. You may adjust the positioning slightly to ensure proper contact with the right trapezius muscle.
      Please note that while acupressure may offer relaxation and potential relief, it's not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment.

    Can u pls suggest... how do i get this shakti mat in INDIA ... Uttarpradesh Varanasi

    • @ShaktiMat1
      @ShaktiMat1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Shiwangi! Sorry, we don't ship to India.

    • @nambnuts
      @nambnuts 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The irony is this is inspired by ancient Indian rituals and made in Varanasi, likely at meagre manufacturing costs and sold in Europe for 5-10x!! Alas it doesn't ship to India

    • @HelenKaraWriter
      @HelenKaraWriter ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@nambnuts Thanks for flagging this. Very disappointing that a product made in India, by Indian people, inspired (as you say) by ancient Indian rituals, cannot be bought by Indian people in India. Shakti Mat don't need to 'ship to India' as their product is literally made there! I bought my Shakti mat thinking this company had good ethical principles. I didn't realise their 'ethical principles' were rooted in the post-colonial economic inequality between India and Europe. Though maybe this is not the whole story either - perhaps Shakti Mat can explain?

    Hello. I would have liked to have been able to see exactly where your neck was placed on the pillow, but couldn't because your hair was in the way!!

    • @ShaktiMat1
      @ShaktiMat1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Babs! Good feedback for us... thank you.
      Do your best to place the pillow at the base of the neck and down onto your shoulders. The scalp should (mostly) be kept off of the spikes. If you look in the video, Nico's face is angled straight up at the sky, so try placing the pillow so that you have a similar angle to Nico.

    Thank you for this video, can a Shakti mat help with Globus Sensation (lump in the throat feeling).
    I have seen a ENT doctor and I am under treatment of speach therapist that is specialized in manual larynx manipulation. She gave me lots of useful home exercises (3x 20 min a day).
    Everything that can relax even further is welcome, I want to get rid of it 😊

      Hi, Ivo! The Shakti Mat works on the principles of acupressure. Simply put: the weight of your body presses the spikes deeply into the muscles and skin which creates a super relaxing effect! Regarding your specific medical question, we'd encourage you consult our community on the Acupressure Community Facebook page. 💡 These are dedicated acupressure users and they'll give you some honest real-time feedback! ✨

    Is there a point going for a long time, lets say 1 hour plus?

    • @ShaktiMat1
      @ShaktiMat1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Manny - we recommend aiming for anything over 20 minutes as this is the time it takes for your body to experience the full benefits of The Mat. Going for an hour or more usually only happens when people fall asleep! 😆 You will feel even more relaxed with a long session than with a shorter session, but 20 minutes is enough. Hope this helps! 🌞

    I love my Shakti mat I have used it every day for the last week then I missed a night due to bad planning on my part and I really missed it and didn't sleep as well. I'm 28kgs over weight and I worry this is pressing me down more than I should as getting in position is painful for the first few minutes then it eases and I can fall asleep x
