6 days of using it. I sleep like a baby now. Nightmares dissapeared. Every morning and before sleep 10-15min. Also helps with my anxiety. Gratefull I found you on youtube🙏🏻
We've had one for years. I highly recommend it. I am also a minimalist and this is the one tool I've been using consistently since I bought it. I find it works really well directly on the skin.
I suffer from very bad joint pain and am going through perimenopause. I have pain in my left shoulder, elbow and now hip, especially at night. I’m a side sleeper and have had to wake up every time I turn over, and to cuddle a pillow as I sleep, to try and brace my arm. I used this yesterday for the first time and found your video whilst lying there. I’ve just woken up from the best night sleep I’ve had in at least a year and NO JOINT PAIN. What magic is this?! ✨😄 I am honestly in a little bit of shock. About to watch your video again so I can understand what happened. Thank you! Note: I don’t have this particular mat, but it’s almost identical, and I also used the mat and pillow on bare skin for full impact. DON’T GET OFF THE MAT QUICKLY! It can hurt a little, so get off slowly 😅
I got one a few weeks ago. I was a bit skeptical, but wow! I love it! It helps me relax and has even reduced my knee pain a bit. It's a bit poke-y at first, but then feels wonderful. The only discomfort I experience is sitting up afterward. For about 15 seconds, it stings a bit. Then it's fine. I love it!
My mat massively helped me cope with and reduce the pain of a frozen shoulder and it often helped me to get back to sleep when the pain was keeping me awake. Plus I find it's great for relieving tension headaches.
I got one of these from Dave Aspry years ago. I do admit that it's a tad bit uncomfortable for the first 10 seconds after laying down but it quickly becomes bearable. I really like it and it does a remarkable job of quickly calming you down. I usually lay on it for 6 or 8 minutes until the discomfort begins to come back and that seems to be all that's needed.
I bought a BoN mat without the filler and use it on my bed. The sensation is prickly at first but turns into heat. My back and body just heat up. After use my muscles feel relaxed. I’m surprised how nice I feel after using it. Thanks for your review which influenced my purchase.❤
i bought one last year and used it with much success. thank you for reminding me why it works! am going to start using again at night, when i put my feet up against the wall!
I use a cheap one, and it really helps me fall asleep when my mind is racing or I’m stressed. I often fall asleep on the mat, then wake up half and hour later, then put it aside and go straight back to sleep.
I bought one to see if I could get some relief from 3 yrs of chronic pain. I have had traction, dry needling, PT way too often. 3 or 4 rounds of injections at a respectable spine institute in Charleston.. I used a thin night gown and my bed this first time. I was told Tuesday I have fibromyalgia, all my cervical disk bulged inward, and need the last round of my injections in my lower back. I sure hope this will help, even if just a tiny bit, improve my quality of life🙏
Hubby bought me one recently as a gift. At first I was mortified......a bed of nails!!!!! Definitely worth giving it a go.Its really helping me to relax and sleep.
Hi there! I’m a nurse and I really enjoy your information and find it very useful and helpful !!!! Found you on You t. a month ago and have been trying this bed of nail mat. Wow!!!!! Slept better and helped my back pain and just feel less pain overall. Read that this brand has the most little nails - so it doesn’t hurt as much. You’re very knowledgeable and I’m Grateful I found you!!😃🙏
A few years ago I picked up one of these in a charity shop, I think it’s called Yantra Mat. I did find it very uncomfortable but after seeing your review I will dig it out - I have overall tension in my body. Thanks. Subscribed!!👍😎
(Hi again, I’ve watched and commented on like three of your videos by now 😂) I bought a mat a few months ago just before I started getting treatment for upper back/shoulder/neck pain. (Side note: the chiro was the only thing that has helped. Regular yoga is the only thing that keeps the pain away.) I use it under my feet to feel more energized, and I use it on my back before I fall asleep. It knocks me right out, because I barely remember the moments between getting off the mat and falling asleep. Most of the time, it takes me forever to sleep without some sort of help. I’m so glad you’ve posted this because when I was considering getting one, it was so hard to find information about the actual neurological effects. Everything else was too woo, even for me 😂
I know, right? I’m a big fan of woo myself but then I’m like, wait, what’s really going on here?! I guess I need to take things down to their most basic level to be sure I understand their application. I’m told I have a “systems level approach,” which I guess is a thing. I’m glad you like your acupressure mat! It sounds like it’s super effective for you.
Just stumbled upon you and watched a couple lessons. Loved them! This was awesome because I just bought one of these yesterday! Didn’t know anything about them but it made sense to me and I haven’t been able to go to Accupuncture during covid so I thought I’d get this. So excited now!! Will definitely follow up w how I like it.
I can't say for sure that it will help with Lyme disease. The mat promotes overall relaxation, and we know that prolonged stress negatively impacts your immune system. So it may be a useful tool in your healing arsenal.
Acupuncture releases, endorphins, and endorphins is a natural pain relief so if this does do acupuncture on your body, it should release endorphins, which is a hell of a good feeling and again natural pain relief
These acupressure mats are essential under the desk while sitting in office chair. Kick off shoes , enjoy prickly mats in soles and heel. It def releases stress
It’s important to note that the pillows are separate purchases from the mat. All are quite expensive. The mat itself is very small, around 16 1/2” x 28 1/2”. I’m interested, but cost is certainly a factor.
Actually, I purchased what I thought was just going to be the mat, but the pillow came with it. I love both! I mostly use the pillow under my feet and it really helps with the neuropathy I tend to experience. Because I am not even quite 5' tall, the Bed of Nails mat is the perfect length.
I fell asleep on mine again last night 😂 I love it so much I practically leap on it at bedtime. After I make my bed I place it on the mattress ready for bedtime.
Hi. I just want to ask if this can reduce anxiety disorder, increase immune system, contol blood sugar ( I am Type 2 Diabetic), relieves migraine, relieves testicular pain due to Epidydimitis, Prostatitis, constipation, Spondylosis, and also makes you sleep fast without taking sleeping meds like Zolpidem anytime of the day. Thank you. God bless!
Hey Christopher, I can't speak to specific health concerns. It does promote relaxation and as a result may improve sleep, but with your type 2 diabetes, you'd definitely want to run it past a qualified health professional before trying it.
Hi Sukie! Would this help with trauma stored in the body? In your other video you mentioned trauma in the body needs to be addressed at a body level to help it feel safe. Do you think this would help with that? Thanks!
I think that it helps in that it promotes novel sensory input which can be soothing to the nervous system. Everyone’s individual results will vary though and because this mat gives a spiky sensation, if you happen to trend toward hyper arousal, you may want to start slowly because the intensity could be triggering. (I personally have not had this experience and find the mat very calming.)
Yup. l'm finding a lot of value & useful information in these videos, but yeah you're right.. some peaceful acoustic guitar or something like the Dalai Lama's album would be way more soothing and fit better to this information & atmosphere 🤷
Yup. I have a PTSD subtype from a brain injury. The background music is definitely stress inducing. But hey thats me - I also cant handle the music in grocery stores or coffee shops either. But i find the more i share, the more often i find others who echo my experience. Ironically, lying on my acupressure mat had me pretty chilled out before i was watching the video.
My son has one and I tried it. Think I lasted maybe two minutes on it 3 minutes tops. It felt like my whole back was on fire. The stinging and burning was horrific.
You got to get through that to feel the benefits! Just breathe through it and then you will reach a sort of meditative state! I usually fall asleep on mine!
Thanks maybe ill buy one. For the moment Im happy with your Vargus relaxation exercises, helps me clearly to shift in the body. :) P.S. Youre totally cute, like to see you :)
Thank you for explaining with real science. I hate when people talk about energies and spirits. I don't have time for that. I just wanna know the science so I can check it.
Lying in one for the first time rn! It's been 3 hours lol so relaxing 😭 I'm 22 and have back pain for so long due to stress and trauma, my stiff and tight hips are especially in heaven right now... Sometimes I even feel electric shocks in my left side
I also have this and I find my mat does help increase blood flow to my muscles that have turned into concrete to prevent my bones from moving too much. I’m sorry you deal with the same illnesses. People have no idea how hard it truly is. Xoxo
Oh, probably 20-30 minutes. I don't tend to time things. I wait until I feel something shift -- in this case I wait until I feel relaxation, or until I feel the "prickly" sensation dissipate.
I have this and would caution against using it directly under your spine. Off to either side of the spine was quite nice but right under my spine led to days of pain afterwards and damage to my spinal discs. I'm 6'2" and 250 lbs so lighter people may have a better response.
Great video! I have had an acupressure mat for a few years but wasn’t sure how to use it. You mentioned it can help with autonomic dysfunction, but didn’t understand how. I have various autonomic issues to address. Also, any suggestions for how long to use?
Thank you for the video I have just ordered one of these.I have read a few comments about falling asleep on them,is it safe to do so? Or even use it in bed ?
Hi Carol, I wouldn’t recommend falling asleep on one of these as it becomes quite uncomfortable after a period of time. I have used mine in bed while reading before falling asleep though, and that’s very relaxing.

So you got it for free, and the end of the video is just you reading a script of what they wanted you to say to influence people into thinking they need to buy this specific mat. Which they dont at all. These kinds of videos are just pointless and biased.
I LOVE my bed of nails! I deal with chronic pain and it has helped me lower the pain level and calm down. My son tried mine and bought his own one.
6 days of using it. I sleep like a baby now. Nightmares dissapeared. Every morning and before sleep 10-15min. Also helps with my anxiety. Gratefull I found you on youtube🙏🏻

I’m glad you have found your acupressure mat to be so effective! Thank you for sharing your experience, Shannon 😊
I am laying on now....helps with anxiety and stress too......it took me awhile to build up using it and now I fall asleep on it

I have a bed of nails mat and pillow...love it big time . It has really helped end migraines as well as anxiety!
How long did you use it before migraine stopped?
Do you use the pillow as well? Am considering all this for chronic migraine condition.
I bought one a few years ago. Your description is 100% accurate. I like it a lot

Wait, if it lowers cortisol, wouldn't this be counter-indicated if one's 8 am cortisol is already low??
Surely you meant "medical grade plastic," which is plastic of a quality they use in medical devices. Not "surgical grade, " as you kept calling it.
I got a rash from the mat as It caused irritation which is a shame because I liked the effect.
Why are companies continuing to make products out of plastic?? If humanity rightly condemns plastic drinking straws, you would certainly think that they would find a different material to make the spikes out of.
