@@junehanzawa5165 it was the CyberTruck or the Ford F150 Raptor. I just installed FSD this morning. I believe I made the right choice. But I still want a Raptor too.
I downloaded the FSD 12.5. 5 last night to my cybertruck Beast. I had occasion to go to Costco in Austin this morning. On the way back I gave requested for "directions to home" When heading back to Bastrop I let the FSD handle the trip. It missed the turn to Bastrop on the tollway and headed north on I-130, then took Tesla Road and was going to make a right turn into the Tesla plant itself. I had to intervene, go south on 130 and then East on 71 to end up in Bastrop. I guess when you say "directions to home" it literally means the Tesla factory!
15:55 "I dunno why it put that turn signal on" People in the states and Canada still don't know how round abouts work! You need to signal out of a roundabout so other drivers know they can enter, or you're just making people wait for no reason. This is awesome, a really good example of the machine doing things more correctly than we do XD. Love it! Great video!
At 4:14 when the Cybertruck made a left but into the oncoming traffic lane, after it corrected itself, you should have immediately disengaged, and when the "You disengaged, please press the mic button button and tell us why" message comes up on the screen, you press the mic button and explain the potentially dangerous behavior that just happened. This is how the Tesla AI team can fix this. They can't fix what they're not aware of. And even if you know they are aware of this issue, the more IMU data they have for it, the easier it will be for them to fix it. When you disengage, you send them the video and IMU data. And please do this to report similar issues. Please. Thanks!
I dont understand how this version of FSD is legal on public roads. From this video alone, FSD needs WAYYYY more testing before being put in public hands. But that's just me.
@@onigengu7846 I agree that this version for the Cybertruck needs more polishing before "going wide", but the issue isn't with FSD in general, it's with educating its users on how to use it. For example, whenever you turn FSD on, a note pops up on the screen that says "Please keep hands on the wheel" (this is because it's still Level 2 and not Level 3). Yet no one does. And the content creator of this channel, knowing that this version has a left turn bug, should have been covering the steering wheel before the car turned left, but he didn't. This is due to a lack of education. If the driver is vigilant, FSD is safe (it won't suddenly mow down pedestrians or crash into a wall). The latest version of FSD for Models Y and 3 is fine... very few if any interventions. But THIS version for the Cybertruck needs some fixing before it goes wide.
FSD is hands free now. So why would I keep my hands on the wheel? To be fair to FSD I have used it a good bit since making this video…including one I just published and not one time did it turn too far into the oncoming lane. This seemed to be a brief bug
@@MetzTech Actually, FSD is still Level 2, which means it's not "hands free". Yes, I know, a lot of TH-camrs are saying it's hands free, but what it is now is "steering wheel nag-free" and instead we now have a "keep your eyes on the road" screen nag. But some people have taken this to mean that it's "hands-free" which is in error. If you notice, whenever you engage FSD a notice pops up on the screen that says "Keep your hands on the wheel", and this is because that's what ALL users of FSD are supposed to be doing, keeping their hands lightly on the wheel, and this needs to be done until FSD is Level 3... Level 3 is "hands-free". I realize it's more difficult to keep your hands lightly on a squared circle (much easier on a circular steering wheel), but if that approaching vehicle had been a bit closer to you when you made the left turn into his lane, you could have had a head-on collision if your hands had not been "at the ready", which they weren't. Just say'n. All we need is one such accident to put FSD back a year or two. And please, if this happens again, disengage FSD and hit the mic button to send a text message to the FSD team informing them of what happened. This was really interesting to see. I'd love a CT, but they're just too expensive. Looks like it handled 95% of things pretty well on FSD. A year from now, that'll probably be more like 99%. Pretty cool. To be fair, as much as I like the CT, I'd have honked at you and flipped you off, just like that Jeep, if you turned directly into my lane and then stayed there until you felt like getting back onto your side of the road. That person had no idea you were on FSD, and that's actually irrelevant. So, I doubt it was just somebody in a Jeep that hates Tesla or CT, but rather what you were doing in traffic that caused the reaction, and it was a fair reaction.
"It's a good start with FSD. Tesla has really come a long way with FSD, and this is only the first version. Tesla is doing really well! It will be exciting to see if we get FSD in Europe next year."
I've been using FSD for a week in the Cybertruck and the Left turn cutting into the opposing lane is my biggest problem, like your clip with the Jeep at ~4:30. I drove it in San Franciso yesterday and it performed really well with very high traffic, misbehaved pedestrians, bikes, double parked delivery trucks on both sides of the street, construction zones, etc. I would have not handled some of these situations as well, as the cybertruck is a big vehicle, and I would have been more cautious with clearance to other vehicles, people, etc. But I really hate the left turn lane cutting as that happens all the time around where I live and causes me stress, and I'm sure pisses off other drivers like that Jeep
Just got mine couple days ago. No auto steer. Not too pleased with the zero per assist as well. Doesn’t even beep like a Kia would! Waiting on these updates!

3:23 Tesla is still a hard 'no' for me. You are in FSD. Your speed says 36; speed limit 25mph. I don't understand what this tech is supposed to do if it's speeding. Telling the cop "But I wasn't driving, the Tesla was speeding" doesn't work. Perhaps in a decade I'll reconsider but for the price and it's current state, this makes 0 sense for my life going around town over the speed limit with local cop's mentality. Already a target on your back because of the vehicle itself, which draws attention to 'how fast is that oversized, heavy vehicle going?' a cop might wonder.
I am pretty sure you can just turn off the automatic speed and have it do the speed limit. If that's the only problem, you should be fine. you are welcome
No doubt that the autospeed feature needs to be fixed. Everyone is reporting this same issue so expect this to be fixed with an OTA update sometime soon in the future. In there planned releases they are planning a "speed profile" which I think will allow more customization/optimization around this issue. You can still use FSD and avoid this issue, just by disabling auto speed off set. You just have to manually adjust the speed it will go. You can tell it up to +30% of the stated speed limit or 0% if you so choose. Those things being said these issues are with FSD, not with the physical car itself of course. So your gripe is with FSD, but if you want it to follow the speed limit then just tell it to via disabling the autospeed and you control it whilst it drives. You can always disengage and drive the car yourself at any point. No other brand of car on the road even gives you the option (or anything even close) to the FSD package
If you haven't already I highly recommend you go and take a test drive of one (it's free and easy to set up) at your local tesla location. If you haven't driven a Tesla before I think you'll be pleasantly surprised
@@weich1q2w I don't see how a test drive invalidates his video proof of what I brought up. Seeing FSD in person going 11 mph over the limit and making funky turns isn't any different from seeing it on a video.
@@weich1q2w "You can still use FSD and avoid this issue, just by disabling auto speed off set. You just have to manually adjust the speed..." ===== Appreciate the hints/tips but honestly, this isn't helpful. If I had already bought a Cybertruck, then this would as it would tell me how to fix what Tesla can't yet. Considering I haven't bought a Cybertruck, your tips/hints have the opposite effect. Why would I buy this when clearly I have to already set in my mind that at this price point, there are still too many 'work-arounds'? At close to 100k, that is not appealing but thanks for the explanation, although again it makes it look like a worse value.
Hopefully it never runs anyone over. Not sure pedestrians realize that AI is deciding if they live or die that day. This makes me cautious around Tesla vehicles for now. Not waymo
Yo that time when you went into oncoming traffic don't ever do that. This was a terrible review and you put someone's life at risk. You need to be ready to take control or don't use this at all. I've been using multiple forms of self-driving for years and years and your attitude with it is disgusting. You need to pay more attention to the road and be ready to grab the vehicle when it does things like drive straight at a car in its lane. This was one of the most frustrating videos I've seen in TH-cam in a while.
If you are referring to the Jeep scenario, it never got close enough to need a critical disengagement. Otherwise I would have. It never went into oncoming traffic idk what you are talking about
@@MetzTechit would still scare and cause a reaction to someone the way it leaned towards the opposite lane. Nothing to laugh about. Take driving seriously…
"every detail has been thought out".."themematically"...😂😂 Nice save, because there are certainly a lot of "details"..ie wheelcovers, leaky tonneau, etc, that weren't well thought out at all.
It's relaxing, you don't have to constantly be braking, accelerating, doing the driving and the defensive driving.you just watch/ supervise. Much less stressful than driving yourself and be distracted by your cell phone.

13:22 What’s that item that looks like it is plugged into your door?
It’s just my mic. It fits perfectly in that slot
15:52 do you not use in US a turn signal when you leave the roundabout?
thats very much a Europe thing (excluding Germany I believe), not enforced in the US/Canada
@@mysticrain32 I see. I've been to Germany many times but I haven't really take a notice on how they behave on roundabouts haha, will get a closer look next time
Honestly I go through them so infrequently I don’t even know. But I don’t usually do it when I’m driving

(crowding that Jip over the double yellow earned a little beep I suppose)
Idk about your state but in my state if the jeep woulda hit you, you woulda been found 100% at fault for being over the line in the jeeps lane. It isn’t worth taking the risk of ruining your car man you done waited too long and paid too much
Louisville?
Yes!

Appreciate the hints/tips but honestly, this isn't helpful.

Do you have to apply pressure to the steering wheel anymore??
No, it’s hands free as long as you are facing forward

Please plaae please get that thing wrapped. It looks hideous naked
I think that’s the plan. But it’s not my call
"Naked" lol. I will never be able to look at one in stainless steel without thinking this now 😅
Why don't I trust this I wonder...
It was pretty impressive for a first version
What a useless feature. Why would you like the computer drive for you and constantly be ready to take the control.
Haha it’s amazing; the car drives by itself! You need to try it; one day it’ll be commonplace, but nowadays it’s just exciting!
you dont have a good sense of the furure do you? im quite sure you didnt see the potential of computers either.
It's relaxing, you don't have to constantly be braking, accelerating, doing the driving and the defensive driving.you just watch/ supervise.
Much less stressful than driving yourself and be distracted by your cell phone.
I don’t feel the need to constantly be ready to take control so…not useless
