I would have liked to see a comparison between SuperCruise and FSD in stop-and-go freeway traffic. I've used FSD in nasty LA traffic and, between this and an Audible book, it's *almost* a pleasure!

I cannot find anyone to install them the videos make it look so easy but as I got into it on my new Tesla, three is completely different and goes put up into the dashboard. I can’t do that myself and no one wants to touch a Tesla car.

Hello, I purchased the nexar NEXC1 and I've discovered its faulty with a vehicle that has car play. The camera requires wifi through the phone but when my car play auto connects this disables the camera. do you have any suggestions or thoughts on better camera with Bluetooth capabilities? or maybe how to get around this issue

Why did the driver have to turn the steering wheel on a fast highway? So SFD is programmed to break speed limits. Seems to need improvements before the public should use it.

I tried it at a busy mall parking lot using target mode, it failed miserably and shut off because it went to the end of the parking lot aisle and claimed it was too far out of range to complete. So embarrassing when you watch angry cars drive around it as it just sits there motionless in a failed state. Had to run out to it to rescue it in the rain. They absolutely have to increase the range if its going to work. Parking lot aisles at malls and grocery stores are LONG. If it cant go to the end of an aisle to turn around, its never going to work. Its a shame because FSD is finally actually good. I was blown away by its decision-making when it drove me to mall.

Super Cruise is awesome, but it is limited to highway driving and currently, it's only available on 400,000 miles throughout the US and Canada. That said, I've had Suoer Cruise engaged and didn't touch the steering wheel for almost 3hrs, something no Tesla driver can truthfully claim! Additionally the he map will be updated this year (2025) to include an additional 300,000 miles for a total of 700,000. Also, GM shut down its plans for Ultra Cruise and decided to combine technology to be incorporated into the Super Cruise platform. Soon, SC will be able to negotiate city driving scenarios and offer a door to door option. The best is yet to come for Super Cruise!!

Super Cruise $2,500 up front, plus recurring subscription of $25 per month after that. Tesla FSD $8,000 or $99 per month subscription. Meanwhile Open pilot is about $1,500 all in for the parts and can be installed on hundreds of different vehicles. It works on any road and does not rely on lane lines being visible to work. Does not nag you to take the steering wheel ever few seconds. FSD is still better at the non highway driving than Open Pilot. But still open pilot is a much better overall value for what you actually get for your money imo.

If I enter a Vin number of a different vehicle will it unlock and start it even if it's not mine? So all I have to do is enter the vehicle Vin number?

Dumb. I have a EV6 and all you did is make me regret my purchase.

Focus in the video are pretty easy parking spots. I can’t see any use for that. People having issues with that kind of parking should not drive anyway. Would be interesting to see the actual result from outside like you did with the other cars to have the real view on the actual result. Looking at the parking line from the back camera sometimes it is still visible after finishing parking and some times not. A car showing the perceived line and the position might be misleading.

Great review. I just test drove a Tesla and a mach-e (blue cruise being very similar to super cruise). The big downside on the Tesla was that it wasn’t as clear when the fsd was engaged. On the ford it was VERY clear on the dash and you didn’t need to take your eyes off to check.

Thanks for sharing. My most recent drive on 13.2.2 was mostly perfect. A few exceptions were its frequent inability to read the yellow speed limit signs on exits. It goes around those curves too fast IMHO. Also, sometimes it sees speed limits on parallel side roads (that are next to the highway) as being the speed limit on the highway on which I'm driving. And it slows down to meet that side road speed while I'm on a 65 MPH highway. Like you mentioned, it would be nice if it would not only drive me home, but also pull into my driveway, where I normally park butt first (park in reverse).

Just got my first model y earlier this month and finally got the v13 update a couple of days ago. At this point I still don’t trust it enough to just sit and let it completely take over, but from what I have done with it it has done a pretty amazing job.

Curious on the quirky intersections, would a human first time have made better decisions, or is it a matter of familiarity. Obviously needs to do right thing, but curious how a human from out of town would handle same. I know the FSD team doesn't reply maps with annotations but tries to make the car conquer through intelligence.
