The backup feature is horrid. I find it takes way to long, and people get pissed. They are already pissed if you back in quick. I just do it myself, as I can do it 5x faster without multiple turns.

You are much braver than I am. I haven't used the Smart Summon without having direct line of sight the entire time. I like to see it in use on a busy day at the Meijer (i.e. Saturday). I'm too chicken to try it. On a side note, I miss Meijer... We don't have those way down south.

What Software Version was that with, because with 12.5.4, there was also an update to ASS which deleted some annoying bugs and made it way less scared of pedestrians. And you get a bit more range

Why would anyone need help pulling into a perpendicular parking spot. lol Those are the EASY ones!!! lmao. If you can't park in a perpendicular spot you definitely shouldn't have a license. Forget parallel parking.

I think you are being a bit critical of the placement between the lines, this is amazing! I mean, have you tried backing into a spot with a regular pickup truck? People go over the lines all the time. I am critical of such parking too and I even park over lines myself when driving a pickup truck on occasion. Rear camera view on newer trucks help a ton though.

Question: What happens if it's plugged into a charger? would be amazing it would go plug in a charge, then unplug and meet you at the front door but I suspect for now it can't move because it's plugged in

Got the update 2 days ago! I live in west Florida. we have the bands from hurricane Helene.. first off i have not tried ass in a busy parking lot. I came out of grocery store. a rain band was rolling thru so i told myself what the heck, lets see what ass can do! Well it backed iut of parking spot (which I pulled straight in so I wasn't sure if it would back out or not and it did) , It came straight down the aisle towards me. The parking lot was packed with people in vehicles moving around everywhere. My ass just took its time, waited for pedestrians to pass and waited for a couple cars. Then it pulled right up to the curb in front of me and put it in park. I was able to stay relatively dry not having to walk all the way across the parking lot in this rain. The car worked exactly the way it was supposed to Even in heavy rain with a lot of obstacles to deal with. I'm blown away in super excited about Tesla's amazing drive for perfection. Yes the system isn't perfect and probably won't always be perfect, but I know in wants to come it will continuously get better. Thanks Elon! Whenever someone tells him no you can't do that, well guess what he's going to do it one day! He deserves to be a billionaire

I have used it 3 times in busy parking lots. It’s amazing in my opinion and if you time it right as you’re walking out of a store it’s like having valet service. People have looked at me crazy getting in

I have had Insteon/Universal Devises for over 12 years. I have it setup with a GEO fence as I drive towards the garage it opens the door and turns on light after dusk. I’ll have to look into opening the door. It does auto park backing into the garage parking spot.

Not sure if your HW4 car folded both side mirrors like the way my HW4 car did at the start of its come-to-me journey. I can see the car's display showing very different graphics between our HW4 cars.

My very first time using ASS it attempted to drive into a ditch to get to me. lol DEFINITELY have to be watching closely. Makes me wonder how long it will be until banish rolls out.

Eventuially, you'll have to test this in a busy parking lot (ie walmart/costco/sam'sclub) with cars and people going by cause it's truly (in my opinion) useless to have this feature when the lot is empty.

Just got it today for my new 24 Model X! LOVE IT!!! I'm in my early 50's and can't believe that my Tesla is driving me around, parking and Summoning in parking lots. So cool!

We got 12.5.4 yesterday. I’ve used it a couple of times and it’s excellent.

Interesting video but-- as a Tesla owner for several years-- I'd say it's honestly the least useful feature and more of a novelty. I use Smart Summon on my Model 3 only to make my son laugh.

Have you gotten the new update yet?

My experience has been that in every attempt, there is a definite bias to the driver’s side of the space. Not a terrible outcome, but would be nice to get fixed. Hey, my wife was impressed, so maybe she will warm up to trying FSD when that eventually shows up. 😊😊😊

When you drove on the highway did you ever hear any wind at all? Recently got the car and was just wondering how quiet the cabin should be on the highway. But since I do live in FL and I-275 roads are bad, just really curious on if the wind im hearing from some where in front is normal. And what sound app are you using btw want to test it myself
