I cant believe how well FSD handles construction zones. They aren't mapped, can change daily, and the placement of cones can sometimes make it unclear exactly when you can return back to the original lane. I recently read an article claiming GM's Super cruise was "light years ahead" of the competition. And yet it only works on mapped highways and can disengage at a moments notice if something unexpected like a construction zone is encountered. I guarantee the writer has never experienced FSD!
The head shakers display their lack of understanding. CT drives itself, has no tailpipe, best specs in the game. I imagine horse mounted folks dissing Ford’s model T a century ago. Same vibe.

For the first time I can really visualize FSD unsupervised. Once V13 comes out I think it will take just 1-2 more months for it to become safer than a human but it will take a little longer for regulations
You popped up as a recommended video/channel. I’m glad I tapped on your video because I truly enjoyed the content. There were a few times where I was afraid that the cyber truck wasn’t going to proceed with its actions because of the situations that presented itself, however it did and did so flawlessly. I have a model 3 but I have not purchased FSD yet as I live on the island of Oahu the traffic here is just insane. Even with auto steer and the way that the traffic drives here my model 3 is constantly flooring the gas pedal then applying the brake, pretty harshly. Anyways, I spend hours and hours on TH-cam and I’m glad to come across channels like yours with fresh content. A lot of people think that these videos just aren’t that interesting but I watched it all the way through and I’m also glad that your video is in 4K because some of the other videos I’ve watched have some terrible resolution. Please keep the videos coming. It definitely kept me entertained. Sincerely your newest subscriber.
Maybe the extra steering wheel movement is because of the rear wheel turninig, fsd is learned the turning curves without it 😅 now it has to readjust the oversteering
@@MetzTech If the wheel didn't turn it would be strange when you had to take over control, but still...we can dream ;-) Probably not relevant until full autonomy is achieved.
Totally agree with you. Compared to my Model 3P I'd take the Cyber Truck everyday when it comes to FSD. I can hardly wait till the Model 3 gets this FSD update and the CyberTruck gets A.S.S.. My daughter was amazed when the CyberTruck parked it's self flawlessly.🤣
With lack of a dash board and such a long plain view , it looks like a boat but everything else looks like an aircraft (windows, doors, steering wheel and metallic structure)
Speed control is my #1 issue by far. For most people it seems to be lane decision, but for me it is speed control. Constantly under or over speed, and changes between with no rhyme or reason. Really been the same issue all of version 12.x for me :(
Always find FSD videos so crazy. At what point do you think it would feel boring or taxi like with it being pretty much faultless? Or will it always feel exciting and interesting seeing how FSD deals with scenarios on the road?
I find it boring in a good way these days. That’s what will make more people comfortable using it. It needs to be safe and predictable. But watching it handle complex scenarios flawlessly is a lot of fun
A yr or so from now all the weird reactions from general population will be over as CT becomes common. (I've driven sort of badly to get next to a CT myself once, lol)
I don’t know if the visualization is different from the recent EU visualization, which shows more cars, but I noticed that on yours, the other cars displayed move much more fluidly than on my display.
@MetzTech The question is not what humans do. Of course humans don't respect anything. That's the whole point of speed cameras, speed bumps, etc. Exceeding speed limits is illegal, period. It's one thing for humans to do it consciously, but for this type of system to do it is impossible. Many countries would refuse use on their roads if the system automatically did illegal things the way humans do. In the beginning of the video, you complain about the slowness of the freeway exit, and I agree that people drive faster than that. But freeway exits can sometimes have low speed limits, like 50 or 30km/h in France. Whether we like it or not, this kind of system has to respect the limit, otherwise it will never be deployed in the world. FSD is there to imitate human driving, but only within the legality imposed by cities and countries. Most youtubers stomp their feet as soon as the vehicle reaches the right speed in an area where humans drive faster. It's completely stupid.
@@Abebe345 The English became very adept at using longbows during battle in medieval times. Even to this day you will see Yew trees in English churchyards which were required, by law, to be maintained as a source of wood for longbows. During battles, more often than not with the French, the English archers would make a V sign to the enemy, which was visual 'shorthand' for "See these two fingers? I am going to use them to pull back my bowstring and put an arrow through your head." By convention, that V sign was made with your palm facing your face. Anyone seeing a driver making a V sign to a pedestrian in Britain is likely to assume that they are being insulted in the coarsest way possible, rather than being shown a peace sign.
@@glynnwright1699 Wow. Don't know if you are pulling my leg, but didn't realize it had such pedigree. But this gesture is rude throughout Europe. Interesting if this hearkens to medieval times.
@@Abebe345 No, that is true as far as I know, in fact the first thing that French did to English bowmen that were captured was to cut off those two fingers, making it impossible for them to shoot arrows.
Great display of the early FSD Cybertruck build. Appreciate your quality videos, insights and chill demeanor. Keep up the great work sir.
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it 🙏🏼
I will watch every FSD cybertruck vid

Exactly. They never actually test the other systems, especially THE system.
This is exactly why Tesla wanted "general purpose AI" and not high def mapping.

Ummm...when you make the 'peace' sign, make sure that your palm faces outward.
Facing your palm inward is the same as flipping someone off. 😏
LOL true!
Never heard that in my life

Palm facing out - Peace
Palm facing in - f*** you

Great video. Honestly you could do a whole video of just filming people's reactions to the Cybertruck, especially very old folks and little kids. 😅
Oh for sure. I have a running notes page on my phone of all the interactions. It’s a lot of fun

What would be really wild is if the CT “wheel” didn’t turn at all in FSD. It’s drive-by-wire so the wheel, technically, doesn’t have to move 😮
That would be wild

Pretty wild having the car drive. Have to develop the trust.

Yeah I’d love to have that on my s

When you “nudge up” to get closer to light what prevents it from thinking you want to go through the intersection?
It wouldn’t do that at a red. It would start beeping wildly and shut off
Can you explain the speed limit and knowingly speeding / breaking the law?
What is he, NHTSA?
So do you drive exactly the speed limit every single second of every single drive?
Put it through some more difficult scenarios like u turn, unprotected left like chuck cook and immediate left
Did a U-turn in my last video no issues! Definitely want to do a dedicated video on niche scenarios

rush hour drive?
