This is one of the most amazing feats of engineering in history. Tesla should be plastered all over the news with this. Oh well, politics. But I bought my Cybertruck, and it drove me home the other day with zero intervention, on day one. Amazing! Long live Tesla!
I just visited NYC from the UK and every day I was watching some of the crazy drivers, cyclists and pedestrians and thinking "how would FSD handle this?". Very impressive!
Fantastic video. Loved that you explained what happened when video was sped up and something interesting appeared to have happened. Eliminates the FUDsters claiming you were hiding something. Fyi, an accelerator tap is an intervention. What you didn't have was any disengagements, aka a "take-over" due to saftey. You only disengaged to change route. So don't mix interventions with disengagements and differentiate between saftey/critical disengagements vs non-critical.
I like how you condensed an hour into a digestible summary. Only thing I couldn’t get from this was if FSD was annoying the other drivers by being too cautious. Did you get honked at much?
Thanks! Only time where sometime tried to go around me was on the right turn when the car didn’t pull up enough. It was tight so I don’t blame FSD. Otherwise, no honking!
I don't know what I think is the greater achievement. Tesla FSD progress or SpaceX catching the rocket with Mechazilla and those giant chopsticks. Both are the very pinnacle of human engineering, spearheaded by the same person. Quite simply unbelieveable.
This is breathtaking! I cant wait to buy my fleet of robotaxis with FSD so I never need to take a ride with humans again! These UBER and Lyft drivers who think they can support a family from driving people around. Who needs them Elon deserves to be the first trillionaire!
How does FSD react when it is driving behind a car and the front car suddenly stops and backs up to maneuver into a parking bay or drive somewhere. Does it react in some way or does it simply wait for the inevitable moment?
@@LucidDreamer47 FSD can’t reverse yet so it will sit for a while and then try to go around. If someone stops and starts aggressively backing up, I’d pull it out of FSD. V13 will have reverse soon.
OUTSTANDING Video, I can't believe how good 12.5.6.1 is. Another TH-cam channel -- BLACK TESLA recently did a mid-town Manhattan FSD during rush-hour and FSD failed miserably -- it was simply not aggressive enough to handle the chaos. It would be interesting to see how 12.5.6.1 handles rush hour in Manhattan..
@@TheRobertlonski planning to do some more rush hour drives in and out of the city in the coming weeks. Will obviously post the results. Thanks for watching
@@mthuhn The FSD community doesn’t really claim accelerator taps as an intervention. I didn’t have to pull the car out and do anything manually. If I had let the car continue, it would have been fine. Just wanted to move it along quicker than it wanted to

Not really.

Good point. I’ll try and update the title

Great Job! THANKS
Cool. Keep up the good work. I am bullish of unsupervised fsd in 2027
its coming in 2026

Both r crazy in their own way… only up from here
The forklift had me worried for a moment. Ive seen FSD try to go pretty tightly around vehicles like that and those forks are pretty small to see.
@@thewitherslayer9669 you see I got close to the pedal there bc I was nervous but the car kept its distance. It was a cool interaction
great video. how did you get this 12.5.6.1 update? i have also HW4 but mine doesn't have it.
When this is released in Europe I might acually consider getting a Tesla.
Do a test out in Boston if you want to convince me.

Really cuts down the stress of city driving
Actually it makes it worse.

Yeah! Huge improvement from Black Tesla video version 🔥🔥
If fsd can make it there it can make it anywhere.
That road looks terrible
You need to change the title because it was not intervention free Because of the accelerator tap
