My 1/2 Mexican boss (who has good taste and an affinity for the traditional) sent this to me. He said this is the right way to make a real taco. Thanks for the video!
Just made your recipe for dinner tonight and ohh man. You got the season blend on point, I followed yours exactly and did a 5 hour marinate. They came out amazing. Awesome recipe 👍🏻
@@huckinator Well, I’ve made them 5 or 6 times just like this vid since I commented. They are straight fire! I put tapatio on before eating but my kids love them as is.
I made this recipe and it turned out to be absolutely amazing. It is in fact "mindblowingly delicious"!! Thanks for sharing! Now I can make street tacos at home :D
Going to do the marinade tonight step by step to your vid and eat tommorow night, I’ll give an update because I’ve been craving authentic Mexican taco’s and the feedback your getting is making me go thru with it🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 UPDATE: 10/10 WOW🔥🔥🔥 best tacos ever, I bought 2 boneless New York strips for 20$ and turned into into 2 days of eating tacos with boxed Spanish rice, 10.75$ a day for a good couple meals.
These are much faster and simpler to make than the ones I make, but sometimes less is more. This is a great recipe and has been a very frequent lunch to pack for work!
I had to come back and say that I am making this for the 2nd time after having enough for one more taco this morning. Yes, he did dump most of the bottle of Paprika, but the recipe is damn GOOD!! Thanks!
Dude, your recipe is the bomb! Better than any street tacos I ever purchased, and it was on my first attempt. The only thing I didn't have was the cayenne pepper and they were still awesome!!
I never leave comments!! Buuuuuuuuut let me tell you I loooooooobed this! You his came out so damn goood and tasted like real Mexican street taco! My bf loved it so much! Please please please try this one out and you’ll see how good it comes out!!!
these are the best tacos i’ve made my whole family loved them lightly fry the tortilla in the juice of the carne which should make them orangeish and then put them in a pan covered with oil lightly on the surface and once they’re sort of hardish put your meat and other ingredients on ur taco with lemon AND THEYRE SOOOO GOOD
Tried this. It was delicious. Just like the tacos I had from this one food truck in California. Only 1 tip I would give is go easy on the oil. Instead of 1/3 cup, I would do 1/4 cup. and squeeze half a lime to make up. When you cut the steak, cut into smaller pieces! Telling you from my personal experience :) but the marinating was on point!
I’m Mexican from México with that said I’m well aware that Mexican food varies according to the region and from where I from ( North México from the estate of Nuevo León ) carne asada means meat cooked fire grilled. And if it’s cooked in a fry pan or flat iron pan or grilled we called carne dorada. I’m not sure if it’s that how is called in the rest of the country but in North East México that’s how we call it.
Street tacos are delicious I like the green guacamole once I started enjoying the tacos I ask for a plate 10 cents guacamole 25 cents so the toppings cost only when Im buying so I just started making my own at home
*Olive Oil:* about 1/3 cup *Ground Pepper:* 1/2 tsp *Salt:* 1 tsp *Onion Powder:* 1/2 tsp *Garlic Powder:* 1/2 tsp *Paprika:* 2 tsp *Chili Powder:* 1 tbsp *Cumin:* 1 tsp *Cayenne Pepper:* a dash Not sure if this is actually the amounts used because it looked like more in the video lol.
Best recipe ever. You're a legend. 🥇 The thing I always messed up on was not "putting it in sections". I impatiently put all my meat in at once and I would not come out seared. It would be like boiled. It wouldn't be that flavorful-looking brown. It looked like grey meat. But now I know. Great video.
I used this but added maybe 2 tsp red pepper flake, 2 tsp coriander, some mexican hot sauce, and the juice of a lemon instead of orange to the marinade overnight. Put some homemade salsa verde on top. So flippin good
Thanks a ton! I just made my Hispanic boyfriend (I’m as white as can be😂) the best meal I’ve ever made him!😍🤗 and he definitely approved and taste SO GOOD!
this is a simple recipe the only thing I don't have is the orange. For me I would use corn instead of flour tortillas I'm seriously considering giving this a try for dinner.
Woow what's happening for these Cooking Channels ? They are Fading away and i came from the Chopstick Video i get Curious to see how a channel does after i see a random video they posted a few years ago and it's Sad to see these awesome channels stopped getting a lot of views.
good video just a few things: the asada is done on a grill, it is not marinated normally we just season it with salt and pepper, on the same grill we put whole onions to be roasted wrapped in aluminum foil, the meat (t bone, flank steak, steak or whatever of your choice) is minced or cut after it is cooked. And give a good beer to the one who is preparing it so that the food comes out better hahaha
I like to use outside skirt steak. Or even flank steak! I would not use expensive cuts such as fillet, ribeye, New York strip, T-bone, etc. Some supermarkets sell meat with the title carne asada meat. Usually a taco has 2 to 3 ounces of meat.
Hmm… the thumbnail tho Edit: btw thanks for a straightforward tutorial. So many channels so anything to stretch it into some osha certification presentation
Marinade:
1/3 cup olive oil
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp paprika
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
dash of cayenne pepper
Squeeze 1/2 of an orange
