Great vid...have done this myself with the same kit. Small tip, push the PCV valve in so that it goes a little past the end of the silicone, about 3/16". Then clamp it with the clamp flush with the edge of the silicone. This will stop the PCV valve from popping out and making a mess of your engine bay. I learned the hard way :-)
HELP: for anyone who sees this- what's the red hose at 2:49 going from the top of his DV to the little ... cylinder dome in front of his coil packs?? Is that something that's done AFTER doing an SAI delete? I'm making a fair amount of mods to my MKIV and I don't know how to find this one.
I have just done the SAI delete to my mk4 golf and yeah its a hose running down straight to the inlet manifold, this is so it gets direct vacuum to the DV. if you run a boost gauge just T-piece from the FPR :D hope this helps

Squalo should I instal the 034 crank case pcv kit or catch can. Also there’s a tube going into the intake manifold off the pcv system that I don’t know what to do with if I do a catch can. If I took a video and showed you what I was talking about would you check it out for me and tell me what to do with it

I'm installing a new 304 motorsports pcv hose kit just like yours. My lower breather hose does not fit because of a copperish ring - is that part of the crankcase? - I believe those are remainders of the oem hose - is this right? How can I remove it if so. Thanks in advance.

How is this pcv valve better than original? Would it be any good for someone who has not tuned their VW passat? (if thats the reason why, I dont know much about this stuff)
They are made of silicone and its always good to change them bc originals are made of hard plastic that breaks with time.. its a good upgrade for stock cars
Thanks man I just found out my pcv hoses are torn and cause a vaccum leak even though you can really tell but this helps a lot for when I do the sai delete

I have a GTI 2005 and am considering getting this kit Because my breather hose tore but I don’t understand what is the benefit of plugging the Vacuum line with this upgrade besides less hoses and a cleaner look? I can either change the breather hose and keep the vacuum line or do the upgrade since it’s hoses have never been replaced or upgraded. Is this something I should do? The car is completely stock
If you trying to keep the car stock then this kit is recommended for you. But if you try to do more than just one upgrade you can start searching for emission delete or sai delete.. you won't need any of those hoses

+Bautista Vazquez it was the very first thing i did to the car bro. So far i done sai delte, 550cc injectors, ecs dogbone, rota grits, stage 2 tune, power steering relocation, and a little cover for the coil pack harness. I did bideos for all this

squalo777 videos yes to an extent. There are a few things that I’m not sure of but since I’ve got the car I’ve read a million pages on the forums and watched a million videos on the 1.8t engine. For the most part it’s the same engine just stuff in different places so I feel like I know most of what’s going on. If I didn’t know my stuff then there’d be a lot less I’d be able to transfer from your videos to mine

@Golf Driver I’m not too sure the differences between other 1.8t besides that extra nipple that sticks out from the valve cover where that Y-hose fits in. I’ve seen some installations that has that feature, but the rest looks the same.
Thank u for posting this video as I have to replace all these breather hoses on my GTI also. I priced one hose at dealer and it was $103 so I end up buying complete breather hose replacement from urotuning for around $175. Waiting for the package to get delivered this weekend and will let you know how it goes. A small VW repair shop wanted over $400 for this work and glad I said no as it does not look too difficult
And if you dig on ebay or Amazon you can find similar material for $50 the whole set. I'm glad the video help you I have way more videos with way more upgrades you can do to your car
Guys, can i just eliminate all pcv sistem from my audi 1.8t awt? Can i just connect low and upper breather with hoses and put them below the car? I have done this on many cars before, just dont know can i do it without consequences on this engine?

Depending on your mileage you won't have to worry about vacuum leaks coming from that area
