Well , step 1 , send the missus out for a few hours and preheat your kitchen oven to full heat . Usually 250 deg..
Step 2 . Throw your spring onto an oven proof tray and place in oven for 2 hours.
Step 3 . Remove from oven when time is up and let tray cool on a bench top. NOTE: do NOT cool spring wire under water lest it goes brittle like glass and will fail.
