Ну он показал принцип работы(в описании написано как модель показывающая принцип работы инструментов с возвратно- поступательным движением(но тот же перф там и что описано в ролике и сверление), а так то заводское изделие стоит от 999 в Светофоре до 6-7к в магазине инструментов.

The whole thing was very cringe for me to watch (machinist and mechanical engineering background). The welding with no gloves also hurt. In the end though, really cool little self-made Jab saw.

What is the price of a recipro-saw? And what was the cost here? It works, and that's the point. Yes, I would do it differently, but cannot make his machine stop working. Longevity has its price, which is the reason for the difference between Milwaukee and 'made in Hong Kong'. The best I can afford.

I learned that circular motion, when constrained in one dimension leads to linear, to and fro motion (vibration). To increase the vibration, just draw shorter and more sine waves.
A sine wave is vibration, being stretched out in a direction perpendicular to the axis of vibration.

Es decir que la idea de utilizar un eje elicoidal no es nueva .
De todas formas este proyecto para el que no conoce el movimiento sin fin o helicoidal y quiere improvisar algun maquina.

This was great...simple and functional, everything here could be left over bits being upcycled.
Watching a sinusoidal cam being made with a grinder, then being used to make a simple saw is going to fix the underlying principle in a student's mind far better than simply describing it.

Вы ошибаетесь .
Помнится в каменном веке , я добывал огонь при помощи двух палок и верёвки .
Железок правда тогда не было , я использовал вместо ножа обсидиан .
А в остальном всё правильно берёшь и крутишь что нибудь , глядишь и что нибудь получится .
Сейчас я так не заморачиваюсь , иду в магазин и куплю например электролобзик .
Но в данном видео у чувака есть болгарка и её было бы достаточно пилявить бревна .
Спасибо автору ролика, за то что отнял у меня время моей жизни.
Хотя о чём это я ?

Я так и не понял, зачем он сверлом делал выемки, а затем менял сверло на какую то фиговину и с большим трудом просверливал отверстие, ведь можно было сразу просверлить сверлом 🤔🤷

In 1982, I spent $17.50 at Sears for a "Re-Manufactured" Reciprocating saw. Still use it every month for some, like cutting metal to make another. ASE Master Tech since 78, retired.
'82... was it the newer style of recip you see now a days, or was it the earlier type that looked like a hedge trimmer body w/ blade, instead of a toothed brush cutter?
I had one of the earlier ones It was before the Tiger Saw came out & changed the look & popularity, (usefulness), of recip saws to what it is, today.
All I remember of the early one was it being under powered, prone to getting hotter than blazes, & by some marvel of misdesign waa capable of shaking a 190# man's teeth out, while the 2# material being cut stayed still.
I can't say I recall any truly easy or successfuls cuts where I didn't end up bailing on the vibromatic & grabbing either a hand or hack saw, depending on the material!
Thanks, you brought back such winderful memories of chucking that monstrosity & the sheer joy of my 1st real recip saw, which I still have, & use regularly, despite DeWalt trying to obsolete it, years ago.
I've found the parts to fix it from alternative sources the 2 times I've needed them & DeWalt got no more $ from me after discovering they'd discontinued the trigger switch w/ no replacement 3 yrs after the saw was made.
I'm the type who considers a corded tool a lifetime investment; if they can't make it, I don't want them.
It's led me to a lot of Bosch tools & I thank the crappy US tool manufacturers for paving the way towards the true enjoyment of using quality tools, the6 don't make! LOL

Very nicely illustrates the concept. To be quite honest, if I were asked to design something like this I would have (incorrectly) started with a crank mechanism, and gotten nowhere with it!

@@Rotorhead1651 не смотря на мой сарказм 😊, я хотел поддержать автора в его стараниях. Он много потрудился, что бы сделать сабельную пилу из шуруповерта 😊. Я в таких случаях просто беру сабельную пилу, а шуруповёрт оставляю для саморезов 😊.
Но на самом деле, похвалив автора, я надеялся, что дам ему стимул в следующем видео сделать шуруповёрт из сабельной пилы 🤣

What machine would be used to accurately groove the barrel today?
As my dad taught me as we were building the house he said yes I can build a kitchen cabinets but I'd much rather use my time in more valuable things than to have to go out and buy the tools and materials and build one

I would have welded strips onto the barrel to make the guide path of the cam. This should be durable and strong.

This works for now, not sure for the future, but a reciprocating saw in his country probably costs 2 months of rent for a big family house, so as a Westie i'd salute him for his effort building this rather than saying about how easy you can get a Bosch or Dewalt if your аss is 2 meters wide from having the ability to spend daily on McDonald's twice the money he gets as his salary in 3 months.

Растирочные валики на полиграфических машинах работают по этому приводу. Я думаю что принцип такого привода можно применить в качестве передачи возвратно поступательного движения в компрессорах или даже в двс.
Уже есть ДВС без КШМ на с использованием стандартных поршней для КШМ

That is a novel adoption of a mechanical actuation. That action functions and has been around forever. But there is too much pressure and friction on the scroll and stylus. It is only for very light control mechanisms...where no work is involved. As is, that will wear out in one day. A basic crankshaft and connecting rod(like in a reciprocating engine) would perform the same motion and last for years. Still, that's great video.

Honestly asking this.. would just making a small crank shaft and rod be easier to do? The metal on metal friction I think will not wear too much when not loaded but once you put a heavy load that groove I want to say is going to widen out and try to become a circle rather than a wave
I was wondering the same, The friction would be introduced in a smaller surface area on those plates though. I imagine the increase distance from upstroke to backstroke also would increase the thermal exchange if that makes any sense.
That could be another solution. The only issue, of it is one, the motion output would not be straight out but at a right angle to the drill.
Yes steel on steel is a no no brass be nice or phosphor bronze I would humbly refer to it as a cam with profile follower .
Sewing machines that are 80 years old have similar concepts to change rotation to back and forth motions in small spaces. They are still working now after I cleaned off the old oil and don't look like those areas are wearing out. Based on that, and designed well a device based on this concept could last generations of use.
That said, the main needle doesn't use this idea, that uses an offset pivot point that has been counter balanced. So there's probably not lasting high power behind this idea for like a saw like in this example, or it was easier to change the angle 90 using a pivot point so that makes more sense than this which doesn't bend the motion angle. For a sewing machine needle bar.
Anyway, it certainly could serve other rotation to linear needs for a long time. It's almost like a worm gear that automatically changes directions for another example that is similar. It reminds me of a rack gear instead of a circular one. With some work, there could be more grooves and more teeth. Idk. The concept looks like it has potential and I see it in part in some old stuff already.
Not a machinist or anything. Just learned to take care of my own stuff and watched my dad from time to time in the garage. So I am likely missing some points an expert would explain better.

It's called reciprocating saw. I am not sure if the price of the material used + energy + equipment + time would outweigh the price of the tool itself which can be bought for cheap and mass produced. It is interesting. That's about it.
Did you read the description? The goal wasn't to compete with store-bought tools. The idea was for you to see a simple design of how to change rotation to linear without changing the direction of the shaft like an offset pivot point on a wheel does. One use for doing this could be a saw, but there are many uses.
As for materials, it cost you the electronics and time to watch. He saved you from building it in order to see it and get a fundamental understanding. This idea probably becomes much more complicated in modern reciprocating saws.
As for learning how. He welded next to his fingers. It is clearly melted metal. Maybe I don't understand, but I am too scared to have my hands that close to stuff that hot. I use oven mitts and my baking is lower temp than welded metal. Plus, I would worry about the sparks falling on me, causing me to flinch if not out right scream from the burn. I think he is an example of what you should not do.
Oh, and the measuring tool, using calipers like a scribe, my assumption it would mark up the ends and eventually be a measurable amount. I guess it would be okay if he has a way to recalibrate them or cares about accuracy to only the ruler. Maybe the dial broke, so instead of tossing them, they are now a scribe marking a compass tool thing. Measuring distance wouldn't be important then, just sharp points and the ability to lock in place. Too bad they did not explain this for other.

Разбираешь компрессор холодильника,снимаешь крышку с цилиндра,делаешь вместо него направляющую для закрепа пилки и получается стационарный лобзик.По исполнению идеально,просто периодически смазывать и всё.
Подключение принудительной подачи смазки увеличит ресурс работы СамоДелки раза в два, т.е. не 2 часа работы , а целых 4.

Во-первых-не хамы,в отличии от,а во-вторых- понимают,что даже самая бредовая идея способна навести на мысль. Надо видеть плюсы,а у нас все концентрируются на недостатках.

А если уж взялись критиковать- то потрудитесь подробно разъяснить,какие допущены ошибки и как их можно исправить. Без перехода на личности.
Я в свое время имел несчастье выложить пару своих поделок на одном техническом форуме. Туда мигом набежали адепты секты Матвеева и несколько страниц упражнялись в скудоумии. А буквально через полгода я увидел свое устройство уже в заводском исполнении на али. С достаточно высоким процентом продаж и неплохими отзывами.
После этого все вопросы,почему Китай добился таких успехов в экономике для меня отпали.
Не говорите мне, что мне смотреть, и я не скажу вам, куда идти. Это ваш канал, под иностранца? Я вам не минусовал, а буржуи обычно не читают русские комменты, так что не переживайте, свои 30 серебряников вы получите...
По поводу устройства: любой технарь вам скажет, что это устройство полная чушь. Через полчаса работы винтик, приваренный к валу, сотрется. Канавка сделана топором. Не, топором можно сделать лучше. Матвеев однозначно оценил бы устройство. Наверное и оценит. Ему явно накидали ссылок уже...
Это устройство - одно из многих, собранных чисто для просмотров ютуба и не несет в себе ни грамма полезности.
Да, хотел бы посмотреть на ваше устройство, которое китайцы у вас сперли. киньте ссылочку, если не звиздите...
@@lommmaster а вы серьезно уверены,что кроме 30 серебренников у человека не может быть иной мотивации? Вопрос не в буржуях,они сами разберутся,как им жить. Вопрос в отечественном стремлении все обгадить. А потом удивляемся,почему это изобретатели и ученые воплощают свои идеи за бугром,а не у нас.

Its clever but there are simpler mechanisms to generate reciprocating motion.
You have an angle grinder, do you really need a sawzall? You could've went the reciprocating rod route, making a circular part on the drill, and did a reverse steam engine wheel-type thing. Would've made it at 90 degrees from the drill, but a lot more movement (right-angle gears would correct that, like in the real one). You could even make it adjustable, the smaller the stroke, the more torque. The groove would be impossible to put a bearing on.
cast iron and bronze parts would work as a bearing, but it would have to be machined to a much tighter tolerance than the work in this video

Если кто не знает, обычные ручные электро-лобзики имеют шатунную рамку к которой крепится пилка, эта рамка бывает не достаточно прочной, и в случае поломки, что бывает не редко, восстановлению не подлежит, стоит не мало, а для её изготовления подручными средствами не обойтись. А эта идея, значительно качественно превосходит шатунную рамку.
я 15 лет своим лобзиком пользуюсь....там все продумано и баланс есть, а это дичь...есть же пьяный подшипник который самому даже можно сделать и обычного
