This, is from Việt Nam. I can even tell exactly where this workshop is. I've seen a lot of woodworker youtuber on the world. But I had never ever seen anything like this video. Their terrible tools, disgusting craft skill ruin countless of massive trees like this. They don't know how to work with wood honestly. Every piece of this raw wood worth thousand bucks. They should have never been given any single chisel.
I've been a Logger/Faller most of my adult life. Worked from the Coastal waters of British Columbia to all over the Western US and I have seen burls on Trees that woodworkers would spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for....cut off the trunk of a Tree and let it go to rot sitting high on some slope miles from anyplace....if A guy was smart he would get himself a Sikorsky Heavy lifting Chopper and go searching for these discarded burls, salvage them and sell them on the open market to the highest bidder....you could honestly make millions a year if you knew where to look ! Our Dining Room Table in our Log Home here in the Mountains is made from just such a burl from the side of a giant coastal yellow cedar ...My Son and I did it all by ourselves and it's the most beautiful thing outside our children that I have ever made and gave my wife for our 30th anniversary. It seats 12 adults very comfortable and is the center piece of our formal dining room. It's a live edge creation of my own and there is not one metal fastener in it any place. The top alone is 4" thick and actually two pieces cut one after another at the local saw mill for me then laid end to end so it's almost a mirror image of itself. We only had one shot to get it right and it took our Son and I about 4 months to get it completely finished but boy was the work and sweat equity we put in it ever worth it.
I once was going to rent a Skycrane. They are not too prevalent on the West coast. Back in the day when investigating heavy lifting a very large HVAC unit, the cost was $35k to fly up from LA to San Jose and $4k an hour.

какой труд это варварство!
you find it brutal
I like the Steel Toe sandals!
When you have a pair of steel toe sandals or a pair of shoes when working will be safer
Why ?
job security
Cocobolo 🙌🏻 Whoop di whoop 😊
Thanks for watching!
very large wood and amazing colors
yes the color of the wood is very impressive
😃😃😃😃😉
You would have been better off saving the tree from which they extracted that piece of wood. And you still have the cynicism to title your video "I Salvaged a Giant Wooden Table from Disaste."
The table top is gorgeous ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
yes, with the wonderful grain and color of this wood
It should be entitled, we destroyed an ancient rainforest for ...this...
I'm not understanding why so thick and huge. Do you sell to giants? Is this some jack and the bean stalk type buyer? Id hate to have to reach for the salt from the middle of that table. Not only that but couldn't you make so much more by creating like 6 tables out of that
Thanks a lot for your advice, what do you think about making a table this thick to increase its lifespan?
Lololo😂

yes, thanks for your comments,
Appropriate safety measures are required for such a dangerous job.
потрясающе красивая древесина.
Thank you very much, what do you think about our production process?

@@WoodworkingProjectsideas1994 Criminales!!!!
why do you think so
Destroying old growth forests to make fancy tables for rich people should be a crime.
Not if it’s the only way to feed people !
😩😩😩😩😔
