    The 2006 S2000 was not Honda's best effort ever 'out-of-the-box' (flabby suspension and the first year drive-by-wire ECU issue of stumbling slightly between 2-3,000 rpm's). The Flashpro fixes the driveability issue, eliminates the torque dip before Vtec and gives a couple of hundred more rpm's at the top end. Thanks for this video that helped me understand how to improve my AP2.

    I just did a Hondata Reflash on my low mile 2008 Civic Si. Couldn’t be happier. It had a Cold Air Inake and Catback Exhaust already on it and since the Tune the exhaust note is louder and I dont have any more rev hang. Also the VTEC doesn’t kick in like before, but rather a smoother transition to the higher RPM’s.

    When I purchase my hondata for my 91 crx si I would love to make the journey to your shop for you to give it a dyno tune. It’s b series. LHT is about 600 miles from me. Zeisan Shima Well, when it happens a lot , and folks things the laptop will fix a bad motor, wrong vacuum lines, wrong plus, fuel pump, unrealistic expectations and think it’s all included in the basic tuning fee 🤪🤪🤪. It’s easier not to tune what I don’t have control over.

    John: Your flashing me back to my white '08 AP2. Can't wait for you to put a header and full exhaust on the red car. Do you remember how much my white car picked up with your step header, reflash, k&n drop in filter and 2.5" exhaust? Went from 205 rwhp to 242 rwhp!! The best part was moving VTEC changeover to 4200 rpm. Gave the car massive torque across the rpm band. A S2K you could short shift and still fly. I will be watching. Keep it coming.

    • @LHTPerformance
      @LHTPerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do remember your car very well. This car isn’t getting the same treatment, plans are 350-370whp but with a wide torque band starting low down but while remaining quiet and OEM feel.

      @victorwilburn3498 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LHTPerformance Sounds great. While I am not personally a fan of turbo engines, it makes total sense to go that route for robust torque production and the ability to really "tune" the powerband you want. Should be a fast and fun car👍

      37 WHP is a huge gain. Very nice. I’m guessing that’s mostly from the exhaust?

      @@TerryHeick Hondata reflash with the exhaust John designed and built was effectively like a cam swap. Vtec window lowered to 4,000 rpm and the exhaust let the stock head maximize its potential. OEM F22 cylinder head can flow enough air for 500 HP with a S/C or turbo.

    More great stuff on this project. Thanks. Can't wait to learn more about the this turbo setup. I have an AP1. If the Hondata is installed on an AP1, can you notice any of the changes? For example, with some AP1 piggy back systems, the kick panel can't fit back in place and the box has to be mounted somewhere (probably in the cabin behind the seat as recommended by the mfg.). With the Hondata setup on an AP1, can you tell it from stock because everything is hidden? Thanks

    • @lcq4blackstar
      @lcq4blackstar 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With a flashpro you don't have to leave it plugged into the car, it is only required for tuning/ecm modifications/datalogging, if you've got the tune dialed in just leave it at home in a safe place. The flashpro writes over the stock ECM data.

    • @lcq4blackstar
      @lcq4blackstar 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also a nice feature of the flashpro is 2 tunes can be saved to the box at once so if you had say a 93 octane tune and an E85 tune you could switch over with the box plugged in without bringing a computer along to make the switch.

    • @Ragnarok043
      @Ragnarok043 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      think of it like this, say i swing a 2lb hammer 3 feet and hit a baseball. to increase "torque"(force x distance = work) i can switch to a 5lb hammer but the baseball doesn't really go that much further. but if i take that 2lb hammer and swing it faster i can knock that baseball out really far, that's power(force x distance x speed). of course this is just an analogy so its not exactly like this but you should get the gist of it

      Sort of understand, I just wondering saw a video wrc racing they where talking about shifting the power to range of rpm to get more torque and I ever wonder if they where tuning base on torque or just make the car more efficient at a certain rpm.

    Okay guys..love your stuff but your dragy date and 1/4 ET gain if severely flawed!!! The first run had a 60 ft. time of 3.45 sec and the 2nd run with flash was a 3.21 60ft. Anybody that knows Drag racing knows the 60 ft. time means a TON in the rest of the increment's !!! You only gained TWO hundreds on the 1/4 but the real figure you need to focus on is the MPH... MPH in the 1/4 is what means something for power. You seemed to have gained about 1 - 1.5 MPH which is about the only thing you can show as a true gain from that Flash. Again, the "Launch" / 60 Foot times would have had to be the EXACT same for it to really make a difference in the overall incrementals / ET's. MPH is what you need to focus on in the 1/4 to show overall power gains.

      I’m sure you could tell by the draggy part we only half assed did the test. The dyno showed the results. The half ass drag was not really meant to be a bench mark.

      @@LHTPerformance I get it. Yes the dyno and the "race weight & 1/4 MPH" calculations is really where it's at for measuring HP gains. If conditions / weight are the same / similar, then that's the tell tell. I just meant the 1/4 ET was totally irrelevant to that particular test. No offense was meant, I just was saying that I would have skipped showing / telling the ET. With almost two and a half tenths difference in the 60 ft, the gain in the ET wasn't actually good at all. However the MPH gain was...I would just focus on that for those that don't / can't understand all the incrementals of a 1/4 pass...Agian though, thank you and love your vids and work. I just bought my first ever S2000 (2005 with 44k miles - Stock), and that's how I found you. I would totally use you guys if / when I decide to have work done. Thanks

      @@protectandswerve The draggy looks to be a great tool. Of course I own a dyno so I’m not going haul but on the street. I think that was the first time we used it, it’s now in George’s glove box …lol.

      @@LHTPerformance I've got a Dragy as well... I have several "In Mexico" vids with it on my channel too! lol. Was testing my 60-130 times for my new tune in my Turbo S. Saw a 6.07 sec. and a 140 mph in the 1/4 with very soft 1.9x 60ft. launch. I agree they're great tools for testing new mods and gains under the right conditions / proper tests.
