  • AccuTune Offroad Upper Control arm for 2005+ Toyota Tacomas and 03+ 4Runners is designed to fit larger tires and longer shocks, while maintaining proper alignment. No cab mount chop needed to fit 33s! Sealed heim joints will keep dirt and grime from making them squeak. Ball joint is also sealed and will last a very long time. If you are lifting your Tacoma or 4Runner, these control arms are a must have!

    I'm in. But you know the next biggest question... What's the largest diameter tire you can run with these set all the way as shown that will NOT hit when the tire articulates upwards?

    • @accutuneoffroad
      @accutuneoffroad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmm how many sawzall blades do you have? Thats a hard question to answer since we have not tried every tire size option out there. I can confirm Milestar & BFG A/T 285/70/17s with 4.5" backspacing fit. Every tire manufacturer is a bit different though, some run true to size and others run small.

    Can these be run with a smaller lift - say 1.75 inch? I have a small amount of tire rub on the stock UPC with my wheel/tire setup.

  • @jfriday1ify
    @jfriday1ify 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    If it moves the wheel forward instead of backwards like a lot of aftermarket UPC. What do the caster numbers look like after a 2-3" lift on say a 3rd gen? Is there positive or negative caster built into these UPC's?

    • @accutuneoffroad
      @accutuneoffroad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We are shooting for 2-4 degrees of caster with the rear cam adjusters all the way out, front all the way in.

    I'm currently running JBA high caster uca and clears 285/70/17 KO2s on my 4th gen(with a minor bmc) just fine. But i'm thinking about going up to a true 34s like a 295 or 285/75. would you be able to comment on roughly how much more tire clearance would I get by switching to AccuTune uca?

    • @accutuneoffroad

      Thats a really tough question to answer, I wouldn't be able to compare your current setup to something else that has not been installed.

    Is there a big difference in vibration between bushings and heim joints? I’m worried the heim joints will rattle my truck apart. I’m new to purchasing uca’s

    • @accutuneoffroad
      @accutuneoffroad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The front lower control arms take most of the abuse from terrain, which have rubber joints. Upper heim's wont be a drastic change in feel like you mentioned. Air pressure, correct spring rates and valving will keep your truck from rattling apart.

      @@accutuneoffroad Why did you go with heims over polyurethane? I get they are adjustable but aren't upper arms on Tacoma's set and forget? I really like the seals you developed. That should help them last longer and not squeak. I'm guessing you went with them for more adjustment options, i.e. different lift heights?

    • @accutuneoffroad
      @accutuneoffroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      We cannot guarantee fitment for every tire/wheel combo, however we have had great results with a 285/70/17 tire with 4.5" of backspacing on a 9" wide wheel.

    • @FourT6and22
      @FourT6and22 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@accutuneoffroad 4.5" backspacing on a 9" wheel is what... max of -12 offset? Most 9" wheels people run have more than that. Or they run a 1.25" spacer on a -10 or -12 wheel.

    How does the down travel compare to the delta joint

    • @accutuneoffroad
      @accutuneoffroad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They both articulate plenty and the shock would be limiting the overall droop travel before the ball joint binds.
