    I appreciate you guys including pictures of ugly and beat up shocks, makes me less self-concious of my corroded and ugly Michigan winter kings

    AccuTune Off-Road are the best. You guys make it easy for us to buy the lift kit with different stages and different brands with all parts that we need to install. I really appreciate it.

    Bro i have fox Front 880-06-947 and Rear 883-26-006 . . about 30k miles on them , about 2 years on use never checked them.. I just bought the refill gauge and the rebuilt o-ring kits .. Will i need anything else ? like shock oil or maybe the bearings?

    Good info. I have the fox 2.0 performance on my jeep JL and one is leaking after 2.5 years. It sounds like buying new ones is better though.

    • @accutuneoffroad
      @accutuneoffroad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not necessarily. A leak can be fixed easily with a fresh rebuild, quicker and cheaper than buying brand new.

    If properly sized shocks had 80s-90s style accordion seals/covers would they last dramatically longer? Seems like the trend is the cool look vs protecting the shaft/seals.

    • @luisg1653
      @luisg1653 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know this is 2 years late, but those accordion covers have downsides too. They can trap water and cause rust pretty quickly.

    Freakin Sweet!!! Awesome and informative video. I just bought Kings for all four corners for my gen 1 Raptor. I was thinking about having the Fox's rebuilt for spares out in the desert. What would be the cost for all four at once?

    I recently installed some brand new 2.5" piggyback resi shocks on my f150. And they clunk over small bumbs, and it seems mostly on rebound. Do you have any insight as to what it could be?

    Do you need specials tools to service a fox shock. I read somewhere it’s easier for a place to service king shocks over fox shocks do to the need of more special equipment???

    • @accutuneoffroad
      @accutuneoffroad  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure exactly which shocks you are referring to, but they are both very similar and require the same tools

    Do you guys offer a general rebuild kit for the raptor 2nd gen rear shocks? Also, what's all needed in the rebuild process apart from all the seals. Like the shock oil, amount each shock suppose to have, etc. Is there a video or set of pdf instructions I can follow so that I may rebuild my own shocks. Thank you for the content btw.

    • @accutuneoffroad
      @accutuneoffroad  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes we can service those shocks. Seals, oil and any other worn out parts get replaced. I'm not aware of a video or instructions on how to rebuild them.

    Is the ride height a sign of rebuild? My truck is sitting about an inch lower from when I got my 2.5 kings

    • @accutuneoffroad
      @accutuneoffroad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That could alter ride height slightly. It's always a good idea to check nitrogen pressure on shocks once in a while.

      2.0 Piggyback? Either way, no that is not normal and should definitely be inspected for damage and be rebuilt
