Your supposed to set the vehicle down so that the suspension is at its resting position before tightnenting the UCA bolt down. Other then that good video .
@@brianwilson1145 dude it feels great. The truck would float so bad with the lift. The control arms make it ride so smooth. I could get it up to 100 and the truck just cruises
wow that has to be the softest hits on the knuckle ever to pop the ball joint free, Those nails are so clean what is the secret. I just installed my passanger side Freedom off road UCA and it was not that easy you go girl you did great
I won't be buying the product (SPCs for me), but the production skills in this video are excellent, just excellent! This video gives me confidence in the job, not only because a woman one third my age is doing the work, but she is showing me all the things to expect and to overcome. Well done, I realize this is not just your presentation, but a whole crew is involved in its production. I can only say I wish more TH-cam videos were this good. No music, no unnecessary BS, just the necessary instructions. Well done to the team!
I thought you were supposed to allow the weight of the vehicle to settle either using a jack or lift with wheels off THEN torque the nut on the UCA??? That'll cause premature bushing failure......
Are these adjustable? I installed these on my 2009 Tacoma, and new lower control arms, an arb bumper, 3” spacers on the struts. Wheels won’t align, even when the camber bolts turn the lower control arms all the way out, the tires still “V” in towards the center.
So what kind of ball joints do these freedom uca’s come with? Can you press a moog ball joint in to replace the ball joints they came with when they go bad or what. These are things myself and other people might want to know in a video like this.
I replaced the upper ball joint in these arms and it supposedly only accepts their replacement BJ (haven't spent any time comparing to other upper ball joints). And the repair calls for the "import ball joint" press kit.
With a jack under the lower control arm try to get the upper control arm to the height it will be when the wheels would be on the road. This prevents the bushings from tearing in half and destroying your brand new control arms
One question I know this video it’s one year ago but it my car it’s lifted already 3” can i still use this to have a better alignment on my wheels or it will be more high?
I’ve seen the UBJ on these break with low miles. That’ll leave you stranded, possibly severely injured depending on when it occurs. Don’t try and save $200 on a part this crucial…
I’ve been looking for new upper control arms to fix a rubbing issue with my stock uca so just double checking do these have more clearance than the stock ones?
These *will* have more clearance compared to your stock upper control arms, and will help maintain proper suspension geometry and alignment specs after lifting 2-4" of lift. -Zach

Sure wish your site had FJ Cruiser parts.
Put these on my 2011 Tacoma and made a world of difference on my 3 inch lift!
How have they held up to this date in 2024?
@@dcmiguel7777 Perfectly!
Great video. Just lifted my FJ and it was almost identical. There was a bit more hammering, bleeding, and swearing involved tho 😵

Rookies 😏
Just put these arms on my Tacoma with the rough country 2 inch level spacer. Makes an incredible difference on the ride.
I'm sure it did! Aftermarket control arms are a *must* if you have room in your budget. -Zach
How does it feel better? Less wobble or noise?

Brilliant: Placing the punch on one side of a UCA to hold it place while installing the bolt from the other side of it.

But then you would have to a buy a new bushing from them, they wouldn't want that....
Excellent explanation. Perfectly thorough. You’ve helped out my buddy Mansoor raja a great deal.
Didn’t bust a knuckle or a nail. Nice job
Just dropped off my Taco at the shop to have these and some OME 887s put on.

Does this help with bumpsteer? Mine rides bad over bumps jerking steering wheel? Does this help with that? Caster ?
Great control arms... just installed on my 2002 4runner
The thickest UCA I've even seen compared with the ones from Camburg, Icon, Total Chaos, Dirt King...
The only thing to improve is the welding on it.
Do these already come greased up or do you need to grease before installing?
Hello i just purchased freedom upper control arm in your website. I have question what type of ball joints do you replace the ball joints?
Do these UCAs correct castor?
Steering knuckle isn’t called a spindle but whatever floats your boat

My balljoint boot on these just ripped after 2 yrs and wondering on how difficult to replace the balljoint and does it include new boot?
Torque to spec once it is under load

Don’t make much sense to me. When you jack it up wouldn’t it tear the bushings up when weight is took off ?
It takes me longer to gather my tools than it does to take apart my suspension I've done it so much now.
What are the differences between Camburg and Chaos and Freedom Off Road?
The adjustability and the unibal options that the camburg and chaos UCA’s have
Can I get my castor +4 with these?
Definitely can!
One question I know this video it’s one year ago but it my car it’s lifted already 3” can i still use this to have a better alignment on my wheels or it will be more high?
If you have a 3-in lift and if you install this arm it gives you a better angle for nicer alignment that means your tires will last longer
What do you recommend for a 6” lift?
these with extended spindle

I don't understand people getting this uca and you can get Rough Country uca if you go over 3 inch of lift
I’m trying to fit 33s will this help with caster?
Yes and no. You'll still need an alignment and ask to move to +3° caster... but these will help
Can this be use for the 5th gen 4Runner
Will this work with 5gen 4Runner

In all these tacoma uca videos they only show the easy side (driver) not passenger (hard) with everything in the way.
This girl is beautiful and super knowledgeable. I love this channel lol.
Shouldn't there be a castle nut where the nylon nut is??? Great video, this made my install go much smoother today. Thank you
Maybe it uses a lock nut. My JBA uses lock nut
I have the same concern. I feel that nyloc is not as reliable as castle nut.
@drrobotsir just got mine for my 2020 off road..They have castle nut with cotter pin now
I didn't know this was how a sandwich was made.
If you thought this install was good, you should see my sandwiches. -Merideth

These control arms are absolute garbage. Cheap Chinese materials and poor quality components. Read reviews.
man come on, you get a chick with long finger nails who don't normally work on cars just to get views, lol.
Hun, you soulda use gloves. safety first so you don't tear up your arms.
