My take on this: it's all subjective. They all take excellent pictures. People should honestly just pick the phone and OS they want. These reviews will have people running around in circles, trying to find flaws in pictures. Video quality should be more of a comparison. That, ease of use and features. What good are amazing videos if you can't share them in high resolution? With iPhones, you have iMessage which sends super high resolution video and pictures to other users without reinventing the wheel. With Android, the best we have is sending a Google link, or trying to use a 3rd party app that downgrades the quality a lot. And I do mean a lot. I love my Samsung, but I'm thinking about going back to Apple because of the video quality. I also had a Pixel 7 Pro, but talk about a phone the video quality was bad on. Micro-stutters everywhere if you panned too fast. Terrible frame rate!I was sticking with Samsung because of the amazing zoom feature. I attend auto races, hiking, and sports games where the zoom really comes in clutch. But there has to be a balance - and terrible video transfer is a sticking point. I know, Android is working on RCS but it needs a lot of work..... and that's what you guys should be complaining about. Not shadows, not edge detection, and certainly not natural colors. That doesn't even matter to most of us. Most pictures we tend to saturate more to give it some pop on social media But anyways..... But back to video sharing/transfer - they are trying but I don't know what is taking so long to get it right. I can send a "Google link" to friends but why go thru the theatre of advertising every time I send a video? What's so hard about sending a video without advertising? And Google with all their so-called amazing AI - can't they just upscale videos coming in from iPhones? It's like this is a bad joke.

But I would be really grateful if you can cover 1 more aspect of the cameras: capturing moving objects. People usually use their phones to capture moments of their kids, their relatives while they are doing something, not standing still, and from what I heard and experienced with my s23, Samsung does not do very well in this aspect, Samsung photos of kids moving often come out blurry. So it would be really great to hear your thoughts/experience in this aspect. Does the iPhone and Pixel do well when capturing moving objects? Especially indoors?
Great comparison but you didn't mention the object separation in the portrait photos which is very important. On the tree image you can clearly see that the S23 ultra is the winner. I think s23 ultra can give you more options and versatility as a user, not only during the shooting, but also after in the native gallery app, which comes with so many options to choose from for editing.
One thing what i will like to add is samsung S23 Ultra is 6 months old and the true rival for pixel and 15 pro will be the 24 ultra but still after 6 months giving competitors this neck and neck fight is just downright impressive by samsung they have shown that their Ultra badge on smartphone is not just name they really mean business with it. I'm sure most normal users would rather have a picture taken from the phone that looks more pleasing and colorful / lively over just having it bland and dull in the most color accurate way as possible. I love my pixel Pro and my Galaxy ultra but the iPhone is definitely better in portrait mode of people which is what most people would take a portrait photo off. Google definitely needs to update their portraits on people

I want this debate to run when the Screen Mode on Samsung phone's also kept in Natural mode, not in Vivid. You choose your screen mode to have vivid colors and yet express your disappointments to Samsung's punchier and too colorful pictures. Try and keep the screen mode on Natural mode too, the image taken should be absolutely fine.
You are the first reviewer in youtube to say that the Pixel has better portraits than s23u and iphone 15 pro max. Additionally, potraits are generally taken of human subjects rather than of objects like you did here. Overall good video but just my observation.

Idk if you mentioned it and I missed it. When you showed the last part, comparing the videos each phone could take. I noticed that the iphone was much smoother & more stable. I couldn't see the phone shaking as much when you were taking steps. It gives a more cinematic experience. For that reason I think I'll be choosing the iphone. bruhh I disagree with you on the potrait mode as the edge detection of pixel is the worse in potrait mode. You can see even in your picture of a lamp where it completery blurred the upper part of the lamp. But overall a very good comparision.
S23 ultra came out months before the rest, it will be a shame if the iPhone and pixel still lacks behind it as they already have enough time to improve on what s23 ultra offers. Either way, whichever you have in your pocket it'll still produce quality results.

I personally think it’s frustrating that you used the iPhone 15 pro and not the pro max. You get an ultra wide lens that give you more exposure and a higher zoom. You get a 5x camera on the pro max as opposed to the the standard pro that has only 3x

After using galaxy s22 I bought pixel 7..and the best thing pixel camera has is hdr and colours..I don't like the blues and greens of galaxy s series now, pixel has a typical blue and green shade that makes pictures so nice and not overly done.i don't record videos and for photography u can't go wrong with pixel
The lens flare drives me crazy!!! Hate how such expensive phones can have such issue with reflection from the glass of the camera lens… In videos you cant remove those dots…

Wow! The Samsung is a definite winner based on this! I like the punchy colors and I’m realizing I have to edit or take nearly all my photos on an phone 12 pro camera in vivid mode to like the result.
The biggest problem that i have with the pixel lineup, be it the 7A or 6A, I don't know this issue persists with the 8 series as well but the pictures on the pixel have a bluish tone which 90 percent of the time ruins the whole experience as the HDR capability and sharpness are spot on.

Bro, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro can take 12 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. But iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro can only take 10 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. Why ? I don't have an iPhone, so can anyone please let me know if you turn ProRaw in 12 megapixel instead of 48 megapixel, can it take 12 bit photos ? I'm curious about this because, 12-bit = 68 billion colours. But, 10-bit = 1.07 billion colours. That's a huge difference. If iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro cannot take 12 bit photos, that seems to be a huge downgrade ! ????
I mean let's face it. Only TH-camrs care about subtle details. Common users don't nitpick so much. As a layman, I personally like Bright photos over natural ones.
Portraits: In those pictures, SS clearly kept the chain in focus while pixel blurred it out, which ruins the entire photo. for this mode, I care less about colors, I care about how separation works, and Pixel failed. also, Samsung can delete unwanted objects after shooting using its default photo app - which even my note20 ultra can do a few years ago, it's not a privilege that only pixel can do.
Hey Mohit.... idea was to focus on major use cases. I could have also focused on director's view, or 200 MP or super slow Mo 960 fps... And made this video about 30 minutes long - but we have to see what most users casually use in their everyday use. Hence, kept it short...i do say that if you want more flexibility with zoom, S23 ultra is still your best option.

TBH it's kind of unfair for the S23 Ultra as it's almost a year old. I am sure the S24 Ultra will blow them away only Find X7 Ultra and maybe Xiaomi 12 Pro can keep up or maybe better in some scenarios.

Hey, got s23 ultra at 72k,i had heard huge battery backup or sot is more then 7 hrs but have done all setting possible, no gaming, normal usage, it's max 5.3 to 6 hrs, dissspoined with that, it's being hyped so much, let's see how it goes in long run😕😏
What? Pixel takes sharp indoor photos of moving subjects (which you can additionally run unblur filter on), while the other two - do not. It also was the first to feature zero shutter lag. Samsung is known for shutter lag as well as slow shutter speed.
@@megamastah I'm not sure what you are saying. I'm taking about how fast you can take pictures on an iPhone, especially when you are spamming to get every frame. Other two will struggle but iPhone doesn't have that lag.

What you are saying might be true, I have no current knowledge here. Not a popular use case scenario though. Pixels had burst mode by default set to shutter long press years ago.

Please search Google or on TH-cam to get more idea about shutter speed.

If you've been watching me, then you know my personal preference is android. If you've watched the video, I've clearly said that pixel makes the most sense as it is much better for less money. Also, apple doesn't pay or even approach small time TH-camrs like me. I pay for every apple product out of my pocket. But hey.... You're free to have an opinion, as do I 😇. Besides, zoom is not a very widely used feature for majority people. Hence, less focus on that.

Of course people buy the most expensive phones because they want the best out of their cameras, including zoom. And human portrait photos are probably the most used feature, which are usually better with the 3x zoom. The pixel doesn't allow you to use it on its 5x unfortunately. I think you should've made comparisons with the 3x portrait photos as well.

I guess a lot of people will be aware that the Pixel 8 pro is due years of upgrades, whist Samsung is a 'mature' product. I appreciate that you must judge what you have but we must guess that the Pixel 8 pro can only get better with some updates based on reviews.

My s23 ultra is the phone champion on 2023
Pixel 8 pro has impressive AI and I love what they are offering but bad battery for me is a deal breaker and the s23 ultra is still the superior device and even better than the 15 pro max
Come on the iPhone can't even multi task and honestly apple is based on simplicity and limitation and it should stay that way. Many features apple introduced like programmable side key and USB C Samsung we had that in 2019 and we've had for years . People saying iOS is better is preposterous. Bro, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro can take 12 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. But iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro can only take 10 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. Why ?
I don't have an iPhone, so can anyone please let me know if you turn ProRaw in 12 megapixel instead of 48 megapixel, can it take 12 bit photos ?
I'm curious about this because, 12-bit = 68 billion colours. But, 10-bit = 1.07 billion colours. That's a huge difference.
If iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro cannot take 12 bit photos, that seems to be a huge downgrade !

I mean let's face it. Only TH-camrs care about subtle details. Common users don't nitpick so much. As a layman, I personally like Bright photos over natural ones.
Portraits: In those pictures, SS clearly kept the chain in focus while pixel blurred it out, which ruins the entire photo. for this mode, I care less about colors, I care about how separation works, and Pixel failed.
also, Samsung can delete unwanted objects after shooting using its default photo app - which even my note20 ultra can do a few years ago, it's not a privilege that only pixel can do.

Hey Mohit.... idea was to focus on major use cases. I could have also focused on director's view, or 200 MP or super slow Mo 960 fps... And made this video about 30 minutes long - but we have to see what most users casually use in their everyday use. Hence, kept it short...i do say that if you want more flexibility with zoom, S23 ultra is still your best option.

We use telephoto lens most to take portraits of human. Not non living objects. And you did not thought it is not thst much important. Wow.

I’ve seen comparisons from other people and they say iPhone portrait mode is better with people compared to pixel but pixel is better with objects and animal portraits

TBH it's kind of unfair for the S23 Ultra as it's almost a year old. I am sure the S24 Ultra will blow them away only Find X7 Ultra and maybe Xiaomi 12 Pro can keep up or maybe better in some scenarios.

The aesthetics and the overall punchy looks of the video really does appeal to my nonexistent artsy senses as well. Also, by and far, he seems unbiased in his reviews (I'm an idiot tho, so take this with a pinch of salt lol). Hey, got s23 ultra at 72k,i had heard huge battery backup or sot is more then 7 hrs but have done all setting possible, no gaming, normal usage, it's max 5.3 to 6 hrs, dissspoined with that, it's being hyped so much, let's see how it goes in long run😕😏

Shutter speed of iPhone is something that other two smartphones is nowhere close to.
What? Pixel takes sharp indoor photos of moving subjects (which you can additionally run unblur filter on), while the other two - do not. It also was the first to feature zero shutter lag. Samsung is known for shutter lag as well as slow shutter speed.
@@megamastah I'm not sure what you are saying. I'm taking about how fast you can take pictures on an iPhone, especially when you are spamming to get every frame. Other two will struggle but iPhone doesn't have that lag.

What you are saying might be true, I have no current knowledge here. Not a popular use case scenario though. Pixels had burst mode by default set to shutter long press years ago.
@@megamastah I'm not talking about burst mode. When you hold down shutter button it takes burst photo. I'm talking about clicking photos the moments you click the shutter button back to back. You can see TH-cam videos on comparing shutter speed of different smartphones. At first when I said iphone is best when it comes to shutter speed, you were talking about pixel taking good indoor pics which is totally unrelated. Please search Google or on TH-cam to get more idea about shutter speed.
And I like how you really glossed over the zoom feature of the S23 Ultra. You spent all of 30 seconds talking about it.

Besides, zoom is not a very widely used feature for majority people. Hence, less focus on that.
@@mobiscrubif the people don't use the zoom capabilities why would they even consider buying these 3 phones? They would buy something cheaper. Of course people buy the most expensive phones because they want the best out of their cameras, including zoom. And human portrait photos are probably the most used feature, which are usually better with the 3x zoom. The pixel doesn't allow you to use it on its 5x unfortunately. I think you should've made comparisons with the 3x portrait photos as well.
