Apple really needs to improve the phone app as it lacks some of the most basic features.
No T9 dialing, call logs are limited to last 100 calls, it doesn’t suggest contacts matching the number you are typing, can’t edit numbers pasted in keypad.
Can’t believe Apple just keeps ignoring this issues.

Few problems which you didn't mention:
    - Dual SIM problem: Cannot distinguish which SIM received a text message.
    - Difficulty in calling back with a different SIM: Requires copying, pasting, and switching SIMs.
    - Camera issues: No manual control, shutter sound always present unless in silent mode or live photo on. No dedicated camera folder, everything gets saved to recents and uploaded to Google Photos.
    - Subpar calculator app: Had to search for a third-party app due to lack of functionality.
    - Missing call recording feature, which is important for some users like me.
    - Inability to turn off auto updates for specific apps in the App Store, unlike Android.
    - Inability to take long screenshots (can be done only in Safari Browser)
    - No split-screen feature.

Wonderful points !! I completely agree with all these weird stuff, that we have to live with as iPhone users (and there are many more, like limited call logs etc..). There is also one absolutely frustrating thing that I have faced with - When you are done with a call and want to disconnect, and just when you are about the hit the "red" button, and if at the same time the other person disconnects, basically, I click on some number from my logs, and dial someone else...It's so frustrating. I also own a S23U (which I use for business number). However the only thing that is stopping me from inserting my main SIM card into the S23U (along with office SIM), is that I find the S23U touch to be too sensitive. 02:00 FINALLY !! AT LAST!! Someone addresses it! I agree with you! This is NOT a feature!! There is some more to it and I consider it major bug: While phone is locked and you receive a call and answer and place it against your ear to talk, then if you receive a notification, screen turns on ( it should be off )and won't turn off unless you take away the phone and place back on ear ( to reactivate proximity ).To me that seems like it is over-riding proximity sensor and depletes battery ( since screen remains on ) . Only happens when phone is locked! If you could please perform the same experiment and please share your results! I have already sent feedback to Apple twice but no response yet! All of these have been solved in Android for almost a decade now! Liked and subscribed for the facts you gave!
Edit: It seems that this bug I said , only occurs to the phones with touch-id ( 4,7 inches ones ) .An experiment I did with an 11 , screen flashed on and then off .Which still is strange behaviour , but better than my SE2.

You forgot to mention the worst one. When you call someone from your recent list and they hang up as you are about to tap on the end call button, it will go back the the recent calls list and it will immediately start calling whoever was under the button. It happens to me all the time and it’s so frustrating that I just stopped ending calls and I always wait until the other person hangs up. This does not happen on android because as far as I know it just expands the name you tap on with msg, call, or email options.

Something I realised in my journey when i was an iphone user was that the iphone is not great at being a phone - the very basics of it! And that really put everything into perspective for me. I spent my time compromising on things that I had lived w baked into android for so long that all this “newness” - no matter how much i adapted and learnt and researched, just didn’t sit w me. The user and the iphone were at a clash because its the phone that wants you to change the way you use it - and that shouldn’t be the case!

Google's TH-cam recommends Apple iPhone videos just to realize I might buy one, and then BAM! I get this on my feed and my whole perception to switch from Android changes.

Apple way is always right, any one that has apple will tell you that doesn't mean it's not right in there eyes, no one on apple's ecosystem will only tell you it's the best.......

@Elninojunior there's motorola and Huawei with dex and more that I can't remember
      But forget Dex
Samsung has full fledged ecosystem like apple
But yeah it's the only android company but still it's a little bit cheaper than apple

I know, i switched from an Android to an IPhone a year ago, because i wanted to try something new and also because i always heard "IPhones are great, you should try it". I regret my decision so much, i miss my APK apps, the big customization option and how easy i can play with the settings.
