It might not have been done in a body shop, or the customer might have said to the body shop .... to much money, just bog it... That car has lived through varying times with changing attitudes and perceptions to what is acceptable...
It sure has mate! You're 100% right there, back in the day these weren't worth anything, so owners would have been pretty reluctant to pay a heap to keep them on the road. I guess the positive way to look at it is, if the owners had've junked it, it'd probably be crushed by now and not in my garage haha!

You are right the cars that were not valued back in there days were just cars but now they are coming valued its worth fixing them right now.
