      Yes i can still get out to the shed thankfully.
      There is a 206 and Xantia I intend to fully strip down which should give a few extra videos, and plenty of time for editing

      Haha thanks, the old 405 GTX lives on, its other counterpart actually went to a mate who made up a DIY racing simulator with it.

    Could you change the clutch for Clio 3 1,5 dci please ? Thanks 👍🏼

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is not a video i have planned, i have no 1.5 dci's in at the moment and have plenty to keep me busy as i only do this work in the evenings/weekends when im off work.
      Coming up is a berlingo cambelt, a 2.2 HDI cambelt, and the an Avantime V6 engine removal to do the cambelt. Have a mates dad who wants rid of a dead clio 1.5 dci, although its at too strong a price at the moment to justify buying so im playing the waiting game until it becomes cheap enough to buy for stripping. Might eventually get round to using it for a clutch removal but cant see that video happening within the next 6 months.

    hello ! very interesting video. would be possible to get directions- tutorial how change the gearbox fluid ( manual ) . thank you!

      I have since sold this car on.
      However in general the gearbox there will de a drain plug and a fill plug. Find the fill plug first and make sure it can be removed and accessed easily.
      If it can then drain the old oil out, replace the copper washer on the drain plug. Then pour in new oil into the fill plug, a funnel such as the draper 26327 which has a tube and will make it easier. Fill in the new oil until it starts to pour out of the fill hole. Once that happens remove the funnel and refit the plug.

    So that's where the fuel filter is on these...
    Mate... where on earth has this car been? That rust looks terminal to me. 😷🤕🤢

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup its there, i drive peugeots myself which put the filter in the engine bay in a nice easy to access spot. Although ive had a fair few renaults in clio, megane with this engine they all seem to tuck the fuel filter in here behind the wheel arch liner. Yes at times i did go what in the F is it doing there, but look at the engine bay there isnt really any where else it could go.
      The rust on the radiator support yes it was very bad, but it was replaced actually if you see in the video its replaced by the time the under tray goes back on £80 got a new one. The rest of the car is sound, just seems to be that part that rots on Modus and Clios.

      I think it cost us about £180 about a year ago when changing this part on my sisters clio, but i got this part in January this year on ebay for £80

    I desperately need help advice I’m getting fault code p1453 fuel tank pressure relief valve malfunction!! It’s on Dacia duster 1.5 dci same engine as shown . I’ve had regulator out checked it visually cleaned it spotless anyway. I clear code it runs fine flat out in 1st 2nd 3rd but get above 50mph in 4th it throws the same code all the time it’s doing my head in . Is there anything else I should be checking oh and fuel filters been changed all good . I’m gonna be taking caravan out soon and there’s no way she’s gonna pull anything like this . The dpf pipes down back of engine is only thing I’ve not checked but surely it wouldn’t say fuel tank pressure relief valve malfunction if it was that ??? I’m gonna have to embarrass myself and take it to the dealer I think . Just hoping someone would have any ideas when stationary she can rev away up full no problem hear turbo etc . When code kicks in it goes into limp mode I think as gear shift illumination disappears and no power or turbo

      Hi, without having the car myself to look round and plug into diagnostics i am not sure. These components might look clean but they can still be faulty.
      Im not a full time mechanic, i just figure out these issues and make videos. Generally ill do my research first and then repair as i record the process.
      A few places to ask;
      frenchcarforum.co.uk/landing_page
      www.renaultforums.co.uk
      There are a number of facebook groups also worth asking on. Both for Renault and Dacias. The Renault ones i know are generally quite good.
      No need to go to the dealer though, there are plenty of specialists dotted about to go to before going there.

      @@peugeotCitroen2CV thanks for your kind reply I’m by no means a mechanic but usually things don’t beat me I’ve renewed all the cheap things so far just annoying it’s beating me code reader says it’s fuel tank pressure relief valve PRV so the REG on the pump would be what they mean I’m guessing or it there an in tank pressure relief valve? Thanks though I came off Facebook as was fed up seeing photos of friends dinner lol but may have to reactivate my account lol

      @@scottwilson1510 The forums are still a good spot to head to if you dont want to use facebook. Id love to be completley off it myself only i have a page setup for questions that come from here and marketplace is useful as are the groups for asking technical quesitons.
      What sort of code reader is it your using?

      @@peugeotCitroen2CV just a Wi-Fi one nothing fancy it reads and clears codes I’m guessing with the more expensive obd2 set ups you can pinpoint the exact fault? I might visit a mate that has a garage. I’ve always done work myself with no issues timing belts clutches etc no hassles but the more diagnostics are going into cars the more the old skool is driven out haha. I heard recently that the regulator should have 5ohms all checked all working so I’d confidently say it’s not that and no metal filings present either I even cut old filter in half and went over the fuel and it with a magnet nothing suspicious found . As I say this p1453 code is famous on these engines mine with throw the same code all the time but not necessarily have same fault showing as sometimes it mentions dpf sensor so I’ve cleaned all that now same code all the time but always fuel tank pressure relief valve ! Now am I right in saying that it basically means the regulator on side of high pressure pump ? Or is there an actual pressure relief valve in the fuel tank ?? I don’t have a squeezey primer pump in engine bay there’s an in tank pump that fills the filter and primes everything if you get me ?

      The wee wifi units are good for what they can do, i keep one in the glovebox just incase someone i know needs a code read. Although the more elaborate machines can provide more detailed diagnostics and live data reading which can help when identifying issues.
      I havent really worked a great deal around the Renault 1.5 K9K engine bar this modus, not a bad engine and i have relatives with them in various renualts and they can cover high mileages.
      Does this help with regards P1453?
      www.capturownersclub.co.uk/threads/p1453.5169/
      If you have no squeezy hand fuel primer then the regulator could be used to stop the electric in tank pump when it has built enough pressue. The forums are the best spot to ask, or if you can find a renault specialist thats worked on them for advice. Let me know when you do find out what it is, always useful to know.

    electronik etc maybe tricky.. but if u want to kill a 1.5 dci .. u need some powers :D this shit runs and runs and runs, like a old VW add
    mine got 260k and yeah 255k belt and waterpump, now the turbo eat too much oil...
    and ill take it , like a man :D

      The electronics don't phase me at all, any issues are well documented and normally its corrosion in connectors, or earthing points, the electrics are generally in the realms of being DIY friendly to repair. Engines are really good, they have been making it since 2001 and now look at how many vehicles now get it including Mercedes.
