Igon is one of the few benevolent characters in Elden Ring that I feel like you can provide with a just end. He has his vengeance, and can pass on in peace. Experiencing it firsthand is inspiring
About the start that confused you so hard - dude basically tried to kill dragon alone and suffered incurable damage to his body so since he was dying after being thrown down the highest mountain in the game he did what any sane individual would do - he literally crawled back up the mountain dying and following us only to see us kill dragons and die right after asking us to summon his spirit to fight Bayle again on our side. Man was too angry to die and after he finally died as his body could not hold him any longer was too angry to stay dead xd
its the VAs first role in video games but he has done theatre and tv and ads for a long time so hes no amature. Personally i feel his experiance in Theatre would have really helped in this role

The atmosphere of this fight easily makes it one of the greatest. The fear inducing music and Igon's amazing voice acting screaming whilst a dragon slams the earth creating huge shockwaves, fire and smoke fill the arena and lightning exlpoding all around you. Its a stereotypical fight with a dragon but when you perfect each individual basic part, that is how a master is made.
I wish this game had a boss rush mode. I want to master this fight solo, but I feel wrong for not summoning Igon. Because canonically, we absolutely summon him

I love the monologue during the boss fight with Bayle, but the near maniacal laughter when you beat the jagged peak drake and how it pierced the chaos of the storm is so good. In the og movie from '56 Captain Ahab screams "Curse you Whale"
@@thequam64 Is the classic movie worth watching?
Igon is my favorite Souls character. They absolutely let the voice actor cook until he burned the kitchen down lol.
These were basically lyrics to the rest of the music
Imagine having him by your side every fight, not for damage but for the vibe he give me
IGN had a pretty good interview with Richard Lintern (the VA for Igon). You should take some time to read it!
The fight is already incredible but Igon elevated it to my favorite fight in the game
I felt like assistant NPC when he gives his speech😂✨
Fun fact: Igons actor didnt even know he was talking to literal dragon
Igon is one of the few benevolent characters in Elden Ring that I feel like you can provide with a just end. He has his vengeance, and can pass on in peace. Experiencing it firsthand is inspiring
I love this version. The voicelines add so much to it.
The screams, the pain... oh the pain. It feels so real, so raw. Igon makes us revel in it.
I hope this guy gets nominated for best voice acting at the game awards bruh
The fight is true cinema, the OST and Igons voice is just the cherry on top
About the start that confused you so hard - dude basically tried to kill dragon alone and suffered incurable damage to his body so since he was dying after being thrown down the highest mountain in the game he did what any sane individual would do - he literally crawled back up the mountain dying and following us only to see us kill dragons and die right after asking us to summon his spirit to fight Bayle again on our side.
Man was too angry to die and after he finally died as his body could not hold him any longer was too angry to stay dead xd
I was confused by the meaning lmao I thought it was a meme 😂
its the VAs first role in video games but he has done theatre and tv and ads for a long time so hes no amature. Personally i feel his experiance in Theatre would have really helped in this role
Learning that he was a theater guy before becoming a VA suddenly made his performance make complete sense.
A 6-7 hour session, plus a follow up session. And he was never once told to tone down the emotion. They always asked for more. And he absolutely delivered.
If you liked this you NEED to react to "Those united in common cause" WITH voicelines!
Bro - "your fears made flesh!" Has to be the most metal thing anywonyhas ever said. Bro is a paraplegic dying warrior driven by hatred. Bayle had to be crapping his scales.
I get it, now I get why even people who don't like summons summon Igon for the fight. Voice actor did a perfect job HOLY.
Kendrick Lamar: I'm the biggest hater.
Igon: Hold my Crimson Flask.
CUUUURSE YOU, DRAAAAAAAAKE!!!!
Glad you got to hear his voice lines too even if they aren't really part of the song
I usually try not to use summons but i was really struggling with fighting Bayle so i tried summoning Igon, best decision ever dude. I just started laughing so hard at him just shit talking Bayle non stop through the entire fight 🤣 what a legend.
the VA really did something to be remembered by, what a Legend
One of two fights in the game where you’re genuinely doing yourself a disservice by not using the NPC summon
Because canonically, we absolutely summon him
Anyone who gives me even a slight inconvenience will be met with:
*"CURSE YOU BAYLE!!! I HEREBY VOW YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY"*
It makes sense how much energy and how awesome the lines came out considering it took around 6 hours to get a couple minutes of dialog from the man. Each line must have had a couple dozen different takes. They really put in the effort for Igon and it shows. Really deserves all the love its getting.
To the people that say he isn't the best fromsoft npc , notice how he hypes you up first during his speech , love that guy
Igon’s VA went UNBELIEVABLY hard and it’s amazing.
Fromsoft: "Oh? You like to play summon-less? Let me make that harder for you."
how have i literally watched that video before i watched this
BAYLE! VILE BAYLE!
O' TERROR INCARNATE!
THERE IS LIFE IN ME YET!
I WILL SOON FEAST UPON YOUR HEART!
MARK MY WORKS!
YOU TOO SHALL KNOW FEAAAAAAAR!
god i love Igon SO MUCH
I recite this some days as i sit in my car after work. Screaming my lungs out.
Igon is every one of us. Igon represents us. The scream after you defeat the the dragon is every one of us after a grueling boss fight battle of any Fromsoft boss fight. We are Igon.
Find yourself a girl who loves you as much as Igon hates Bayle
I love the monologue during the boss fight with Bayle, but the near maniacal laughter when you beat the jagged peak drake and how it pierced the chaos of the storm is so good. Igon finds a warrior who is fit to beat the Dragon of Dread, and in that moment he finds his warriors pride once again
I really hope his voice actor, Richard Lintern, gets more roles after this because god DAMN. Dudes got some insane talent
CURSE YOU, BAYLE! I HEREBY VOW! YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY! BEHOLD, A TRUE DRAKE WARRIOR! AND I, IGON! YOUR FEAR MADE FLESH!
