Is anxiety something different than me, something external which I can control?

Anxiety is not who you are, it's a reaction to something happening within you or in the environment around you. If there is something external that you are reacting to and you can change it, then it is possible to reduce the anxiety associated with that thing. Hope that's helpful.

@naturalbodhiwellness8960 what is anxiety if not expressed in a human? It is some outside entity, are you sure? The fact is that I'm anxious when there is anxiety. I am that, as surely fact. If I say it it is different than me (nonfact), it is only thought putting together a duality that creates some temporary, illusory division. This conflict is anxiety itself. It is a turning away from ourselves towards the idea of the better, which is how we humans all over live today. It doesn't seem to ever bring lasting change, even if we are able to pacify ourselves to some minute degree.
