Emotional Mindfulness Practice • A gentle way to experience & release emotions.

    This is one of several videos that I’ll be doing related to emotions. It’s such an important topic. We use a lot of our life energy to push down, push away or avoid emotions. Emotions are a natural part of our human experience. They’re kind of like messages trying to convey something, and if we can learn to befriend them, acknowledge them, integrate and even complete them we really can free up a lot of life energy that’s being used to avoid and tense against them. A lot of syndromes, symptoms and chronic illnesses can be created when we’re not allowing emotions. This can also create anxiety, stress and even depression. Anxiety, stress and feelings of depression can be a sign or a message that we are avoiding unresolved emotions. It’s kind of a message for us to look below the anxiety or stress because these can be a reaction to something else that’s happening in our experience.
    Emotional Mindfulness is a simple practice that we can do to acknowledge, accept, integrate and complete unresolved emotions. It’s really being curious about our emotions. To simply be aware, befriend or allow our emotions. To listen to what they want, what they’re trying to say or convey. Many times just by being aware and accepting emotions they will discharge or move out of the system, freeing up our life energy and healing the past in the present. So this is a simple, but a very very beneficial practice, so I hope that you will enjoy.

    This was a wonderful start to my morning. It helped me to distance from the emotion and just look at it and be open to the idea that I was feeling it based on assumptions of another person's desires. The gratitude at the end also helped to bring me back into a more pleasant state.
