You should stretch the spring out so paint can get on the inside and protect it from rust. Might look better too. Make sure to allow it to dry before you unstretch it.
Great content Freeman. I love the ‘56, but I’m really not a fan of the green. Although, I think it’s actually better than the original black and yellow. Man, what were they thinking. I’m sure you’ll do something cool with it.
Hey Freeman, That handle was not original from the factory. since you are waiting for the wheels you might as well get a new original T handle. They were not very very robust and most broke after years of yanking. Also have you thought about getting an impact driver? It would cut down the time removing those stuck bolts after you put the torch on them. Thanks for this vid I will have to do the same on my 56 chevy. John M.
You know I was thinking about that handle. It looked a little big to me. That’s a grand idea I might snag one up. I know what you’re saying about an impact. I have a big one but I really should invest in smaller one I can zip bolts out with.
I try to keep the same project on the same day so folks know when to expect what videos. For example right now I’m trying to keep the ‘56 project on Wednesdays & the ‘62 Rambler on Fridays. But that doesn’t always work out because sometimes things depends on if I have the parts I need.
It sure wasn’t willed to me. I’ve never told anyone what I payed for this one out of respect for the seller. Some cars it doesn’t matter but this one it does. Maybe one day.

It’s good to know you like the videos. That’s half the reason I’m making them. Yeah my guess is they had green so they used it up. We’ll see what color the becomes under my watch. Need to drive it & enjoy it for a bit first.
Here's when I painted the engine th-cam.com/video/frq0H5Mkdd4/w-d-xo.html

That’s a gosh darn good idea.
Freeman FIRE is your best friend..you should have a small hand torch 1 lb bottle to heat up frozen bolts.
I've got one sitting around. I just need to use it.
Dang those quick release fenders should be an industry standard. Great video my man. 👍
Patent pending. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.

How do you decide which car to work on for your next video?

Was this a Texas car or from the Dakotas?
Dakotas
Your sign off isn't ORIGINAL ENOUGH, TRY SOMETHING ELSE.
56 Looks pretty solid.
It's definitely not original.
How much did you pay for the 56 Chevy? Or did your great grandpa will it to you ?
It sure wasn’t willed to me. I’ve never told anyone what I payed for this one out of respect for the seller. Some cars it doesn’t matter but this one it does. Maybe one day.
Have you been cutting grass mr freeman ?
No it's not growing.
