  • Qidi I-Fast PVA Print:
    In this video we print PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol) for our very first time using the Qidi I-Fast 3D Printer. We finally have the ability to print two materials at once and since Qidi Print has PVA as a standard option, guess what we had to do. I feel if we can use their standard setting for materials and it works, then that is successful. And that was the case with our Icosahedron (D20 - for you... you know who you are). We have never printed it before so this was the best time. We also ran a Non-Scientific Experiment. Which water temp helps dissolve PVA the fastest? Watch the video and you will learn. Hopefully this video will help you make a decision if you are on the fence about buying this printer. To dissolve PVA use a small fish tank (or bowl) with the aquarium air pump running to agitate the water. Then go design your next print or get some sleep. A much more productive way to dissolve PVA. Thanks for suffering through this experiment for us. Any chance you guys will stir different filaments in compost to see how long it will take to decay? Thanks for the video.

      Moving water in a fish tank is for people who don’t want to suffer. Lol. I wish I had a fish tank and your concept, life would have been easier. We have not thought about doing a decay video. I will look into it though. Thank you.

      Yeah it took a while to get this video out, but it was because of my regular job. Been very busy, but we finally got it out. So each one of these took about 10 hours to print. I’m very please with them. Turned out much better than I had expected.

    How do you like the i-fast compared to the x-max? Have you encountered new issues?

    • @Eitri3D
      @Eitri3D  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As of now, the I-Fast is limited on temp to approximately 250° with dual nozzles. With my X-Max upgrades I can switch to any filament without issues. Each printer serves different purposes for me so it is hard for me to compare them to each other.

    Mike are you satisfied with the new Qidi I-Fast? I also have an Qidi X-Max which is a great printer, and was thinking of ordering a I-Fast for myself. I print a lot of PC-CF.

      I love my I-fast to be honest with you. I barely run my x-max anymore. I also only run PLA through it. Now I know that the newest printer that is designed for CF that you may want to look into. I do t have that one so I cannot speak on it.

      Qidi X-CF Pro and it is currently sold out on Amazon but I think you can get it from Ali Express if from Qidi direct. I know a few that have already received theirs.
