- In this video we walk and talk you through the setup of the brand new Qidi i-fast 3D Printer. After we recorded this video, we began noticing some little changes that we missed during the setup. In the next video we will show our test prints, first print and our first dual color print. I know, I know, everyone wanted to see how the Qidi i-fast prints, but you are going to have to wait for the next video. Hello ,im very happy with my I-fast Qidi printer it is robust and she makes great details and the suport from Qidi is fenomenal everything you need to understand they will suport you.I recommend this great printer and even more plus for team suport.

Thanks for all your information. I have problems with with some radius surfaces being rough and the rest of the print is rough. Any recommendations?

What kind of bed leveling modes does this printer have and what are the differences between them. I saw you did in the video but it wasnt as explained. Lastly. Are the leveling modes same as the x max? Or worse or better. Thanks a lot ur kind
The leveling method is the same as the X-Max. The biggest difference (without taking it apart yet) is that the leveling nuts have numbers on them for easier (if you have a good memory) re-leveling. I can tell you I’ve only leveled the first time and am still good to go.
How do we know how much friction we are supposed to feel I’m so confused.
I can’t figure out what the cycle option does in the options while printing?
Do you know what is the maximum ambiant temperature the printer can get?
100°C is what the max range it can be set to.
have you guys been able to get the ifast setup working in Cura 5.0?
We haven’t tried as we only use Qidi Print, but we can update our Cura and give it a try.
Please let me know if you have, I can not get it to print, would love if you could share your profile....
@@Eitri3D I would appreciate it, I imported the profile they sent me a while back but had no luck thus far....
Cura 5.0 is in beta so there are still issues with it. It won’t accept my printer settings right even if I load them in as a file. So until it gets further along in beta I foresee it working correctly. I would roll back to 4.XX to get everything up and running again. I’m going to be messing around with it so if I am able to get it working properly, I will update you.
@@Eitri3D Thank you for the update, I sent QIDI a request for their latest cura profiles so when I get it I'll shar that with you as well! At least I know I'm not going crazy!!!!
How do I upgrade from X-Max to i-Fast? It'll be an awesome videos.
There is no upgrade. It a new machine to purchase.

On the ifast how do you get the camera working
Make sure the camera is “on” on the touch screen and then you have to download the iCookyCam app to use the camera.
DID YOU INDEPENDENTLY LEVEL THE HEADS? MINE DOESNT HAVE THAT IN THE SOFTWARE. THE SECOND HEAD IS TO HIGH UP. I JUST BOUGHT THIS MACHINE AND THE INSTRUCTIIONS ARE DIFFRENT THAN THE SOFTWARE INSTALLED ON THE UNIT. I BELIEVE THE HEADS HAVE A SEPRERATE Z- OFFSET CALIBRATION RIGHT? ANY HELP FROM ANYONE WOULD BE NICE. EMAIL TECH SUPPORT IS NO RESPONSE.
So one nozzle will be higher until it the hotend assembly go to a side to drop the other nozzle down. This is normal.
Does this have a camera? I think in this video you were turning it on and off in the settings. I did not see the camera in the specs? Can you show how it works?
Yeah we have a video that we have to reshoot that shows the camera and how it works.
OK, who else is waiting for some sort of a dual Chad-Mod to enter the scene? ;-)
That though has already crossed my mind, but I need to tear it all apart to see what I’m working with and to understand how it does what it does, which I’m editing a video that will help make sense of this comment.
How fast can the i-fast print with good quality? :)
That is the million dollar question and those prints are scheduled for tomorrow. I hoping the name I-Fast is not an oxymoron for this printer.

Can you make a bong with this? and can you make a video of making a bong please, you would get lots of views.
I do appreciate the suggestion; however, we will not be making a video of 3D printing a bong. I would also recommend using filament to make one if you decided to. There are almost always imperfections with 3D printing and bacteria growth would be a problem. That is why you do not see many (if any) that are food safe.
This is not a really helpfull review. To much talking and less information about this printer.. i think you have 3 videos about this Printer but not one showing this printer print!
Sorry you feel this video is not helpful to you. Since we are the only channel with videos of the I-Fast, I would assume some information is better than zero information. Give our videos another check because you may have missed our first prints off the I-fast video. Either way, thank you for your feedback. Cheers!
Thanks for doing the video, but this was painful to watch. Lots of wasted time. Why watch newbies setup a printer. I can do that myself. It would have been nice if you all spent the time to learn the printer first then you could have done a video with experts setting up the printer. Again thank you for doing the video, but it could have been about 15 minutes shorter if you all would have learned the printer first.
