A local jewelry shop wanted to charge me $40 for the two battery change. Thanks for showing us how to do it ourselves. One other difficult thing was to adjust the analog time with the digital time... It's done through holding the adjustment button until it goes into H.Set, Then push the Mode button until you see 0:00, then adjust the hands at 12:00 by using the right two buttons. Escape by using the adjust button & it should automatically set.
Instructions for this are on page E-18 of the manual

Very good video, you followed all steps, giving by casio, correctly. The watch should be as water resistant as it was from the factory. If I need to change the battery from my GG-1000 Mudmaster, I will do it like you in the video. Thanks for sharing this! Good job!
I have that watch I'm shore if you use a power drill to take the wrist guard screws out or in you will strip the treads

VERY good. Had I followed another channel that I watched, I would have screwed up my Mudmaster.
You should tighten the bolts after battery replacement in a specific Nm number of casio manual
Hi. I would not use a power tool for the screws. You have much more control if you do it by hand. I would recommend using Wera Hex keys. Their heads are designed to minimise head damage. One other thing is that the 'Philips' screws on G-Shock are actually JIS screws so you are better off buying JIS screwdrivers to reduce head damage. Thanks for the video.
This is just a DIY besides if you send this to any watch repair they will just use standard tools, if you will buy all those tools you mentioned its totally more costly it will be less cost and headache by sending this to G SHOCK service centre it self.!

Yeah I know what you mean $49 to change the battery I couldn't afford that so I set out on doing it myself got myself a cr2025 and proceeded to do it however I wasn't paying attention and I left out a part the white plastic piece it goes on the back cover after thinking about it I better take it apart again and put that white piece in however upon taking it apart and put it back together again and again I wore out the screws on the back cover one of them I stripped with the screwdriver I failed to use a good-quality Phillips screwdriver I learned my lesson to be careful and use a quality tools but I'm still proud of myself that I didn't have to take it to a jeweler and pay him $50 to swap my battery

Just use silicone lubricant and tighten the caseback.

@@qazmko22 I got the batteries out no problem. I’ve just spent the last few hours in town looking for new batteries. Finally got them, just gotta go home and finish the job.
@@qazmko22 ok job done. The actual battery replacement wasn’t too bad but setting up the watch again was a nightmare. I set the digital time fine in my time zone but the hands were out of sync buy over an hour. I had to follow the instructions in the hand book but they’re not very cleat. I finally got my head around it now but bloody hell it was a head fook.

@@qazmko22 I used silicone grease on the O ring and have my fingers firmly crossed. I’m a hydraulic fitter so I have a sound understanding of pressure and seals but I don’t have a unit to pressure test this watch so I just keep my hopes up. Plus I’ve opened plenty of dive watches and haven’t killed one yet.
Just a quick thing, I got the same watch need to replace the batteries. But I’m wondering wether it need to do any pressure check after battery replacement?

Is there a way to adjust the hour and minute indicators to their correct position? As we can see in the video, the display shows 12:49 but the analog part of the watch doesn't match that time. My watch also has this problem too.
Hello there. I have a G-Shock GG-1000 Mudmaster and all buttons suddenly stop functioning after I replaced a new battery. It is working initially for awhile when I adjust my time settings and all other little things... Any thought what might had happened?
Only one guessing, try to install the movement properly one more time.
The pusher does not touch buttons. Sometimes it happens.

Bro how to change the gaurd like thing without driller
before that i used to change the battery myself but after that i went directly @ Casio service centre to replace the battery
the problem was that one of the watch that i replaced the batt myself had an old gasket worn out and it never seal tightly and cause water leak that damaged the watch
had that watch repaired for $120 due water damaged faulty motherboard
the gasket seal was supposed to be replaced every 18 month of usage
after that i always replaced my battery directly @ Casio Service Centre cause they got the right tool and equipment
also they will change ur gasket seal and do a water test run but total cost will be $25
but if u really do want to change the battery urself make sure to have the gasket replaced after 18 month and also make sure the gasket sealed tightly and no leaking by doing a simple water test by dipping into a pail of water for few min if u feel fine with it
