I would also suggest photographing the back with the back plate in place, before removing it. This can help with aligning it later. It's something I do with all sorts of DIY repair and can be a life saver if you get confused.

Helpful video. I encountered a few problems that I was able to solve as such:
    1. Mine had a sticker over the battery telling me about the need to ground the battery to reset it. I completely removed the sticker and used a knife's edge to get under it
    2. My battery retaining clip was difficult to remove and I slightly bent it in the process so it would not relatch. I just bent it in the opposite direction and it latched again.
    3. Make sure to observe the polarity of the battery when you remove it. Mine was + side up.

I was wondering whether it was necessary to put the white battery seal sticker back on (the one you're talking about). I removed mine though I'm wondering if I should have kept it.

Having a similar issue with the clip. Sound like we have a similar model.
On the model I’m working with you have to pull the battery cover to the side and then it should unlatch, rather than just pulling up

Thank you for this video! It definiteIy helped!! I have the same model as shown in your video and I found out that the battery can be removed by gently pressing the battery on the opposite side of the locking mechanism. I found this out by accident to be honest lol but I hope it will help anyone who doesn't happen to have a pair of tweezers. Thanks again for the video!!!

It took few tries and a little more patience than I normally have but I got it back together. Couple of tips: 1. Get a base/magnifying glass combo to be hands free. 2. Get a direct light on the watch. I used my mini headlamp. 3. When you re-assemble use a took to confirm the watch is in the case and then gently "play" with the arc'd metal tabs that make contact with the watch case and look for the external buttons to push the metal tabs. If you see this you should be level, set and ready to close the watch back up. Thx for the video Watch Review! Very helpful!

In case you still struggle, you have to use your tweezers or some really small thin blade and unhook the cage. The cage literally just hooked onto a plastic bump which is visible from the top of the cage. Just pry it undone by taking the tweezers and going under the side with the double stem of the cage. I know its actually hard to explain but easier to do when you understand. I hope this kind help

I’ve taken the 4 screws out but nothing seems to be coming apart easily to remove the band. Do you have any tips? So I have a question. Its all fare and well I can change the battery, but should the watch not be pressure sealed when closed in order to maintain water resistance? I have Mudmaster (which are costly) and don't feel like replacing an entire watch because I wanted to save a couple of bucks replacing the battery myslef.

I would say make sure you are careful putting the plastic back the metal feliment to make sure you don't bend it

After I got my watch changed, I cannot seem to change the time at all. It'll allow me to change time zones, but not the time itself. Is there a factory reset or any way to fix that at all?

Did everything like you, after putting everything back into place, my buttons wont work, all 4 buttons are useless. Tried taking out the core, when pressed on the core they work. What did I do? Model: GA-150MF

When you changed the battery you must have moved the core which has to be in a certain position. So I would try and rotate the core.

How do you open the battery cage? I’ve been working on it for about an hour on just the battery cage and I’m ready to give up
