Hey man, It's me again. Just wanted to jump back to THANK YOU again: After replacing the batteries the hands were all messed up, even the mode indicator. I thought my watch was gone for good and then came back to your video to follow the hands alignment procedure and now everything is back to normal. Thank you very, very much. Honestly, I was really scared since not only the hands but that mode indicator too was messed, but now everything it's back to normal.
I don't know why people put dislike on the video since it's really complete and thorough, probably because the thing with the microfiber, but, bleh, your video is amazing.
So, anyway, thank you for your amazing tutorial, cheers from Mexico!

Very nice video, well thought out, nicely filmed and narrated. My battery change went well, but during disassembly one of my Phillips screws started to strip. I switched from the P0 to a P00 driver and the smaller Phillips easily grabbed the screw that started to strip. I finished assembly with the P00 and the screws fit really well. Thank you for a great video.

As a former jeweler, that was a huge 'party foul' setting the dial and hands on a cloth and sliding it (cringe)! Why did you skip the Step shown on the STICKER? It tells you on the sticker what to do. Stick one end of the tweezers in the hole contact (+), the other on the back where it says: (-).

yeah this was really good, this will save a $20-30 next time I need to change the batts, I'm a clean freak so all I'll say is ..I prefer not to touch ANYTHING with my fingers oil on our skin is there for a reason & it does important things but not for touching batts, seals, gaskets, glass, crystal ext.. use tweezers for everything even flipping those clips back down, you hold the tweezers together & use as a solid flat head type piece. This is the battery change equivalent of the #VergePCbuild
And this is the reason we ALWAYS take our watch to a specialist, in order to change the batteries.
WHY did you pull the module out of the watch???
WHY did you put the module face-down on a microfiber cloth??
WHY did you skip cleaning the inside of the case from dust??
WHY did you skip reseting the watch after battery replacement, by shorting (AC) and (-)

Thanks for the video. I decided to change the batteries on my own it was harder than I thought lol. I took it completely apart except for the module. Had a heck of a time putting it back in. I eventually got it and I cleaned the inside of my watch too. I figured what the heck i already got my greased paw prints all up inside it. Got it back and running like new. I also used neosporin to lubricate the rubber o ring.

Hi just found your video, really helpful. Do you know what can I do, my dad’s watch doesn’t move the hands except for the seconds hand. Actually everything works on the watch except for the hands.

I am frustrated with trying for the past two days to set the watch! I have followed every tutorial, including Casio website. The time mode arrow is at the 12 o’clock position. Once I have all other dials at 12 o’clock as well, in the H. Set mode, I press the adjust button once and only the hands on the watch change. The arrow in the mode window will not move or “reset” to the “time” window or the 6 o’clock position. The mode arrow will move when pressing the mode button but NEVER stops at the “time window”. Casio customer service cannot help because they are closed due to COVID state

I don't know if you're still having trouble but basically you hold adjust til it beeps a second time to adjust the hands, set the second hand to home position, press mode again to adjust the hour and minute hands, press mode a third time and you will be able to adjust the little mode dial. As a tip the home position for that one is the 12 o clock position. Then press adjust to exit the settings and it should be accurate after that.

I don't get all these negative shit comments and toxic people here. Did exactly as he explained except the module removal (which he explained well why he did it but you whiners didn't listen) and got the batteries changed, tested ALL functions and everything works. A big thanks to Gi-Shock-Go!
