Sweet video! Diggin the new set up! Can tell you really like the mudmaster. Looks durable and worth every penny. Keep up the awesome work! Looking forward to future vids!
I bought a Mudmaster GG-1000 on my way home to Michigan after being with my dad in Tennessee during his final month of life. I think I felt a need to buy something special to help deal with the sadness I was feeling. It was an impulsive and expensive purchase, but it appealed to me because it was rugged, highly functional and incredibly beautiful. It’s been over two years now, and I still love the watch! An added bonus: it reminds me of those special few weeks with my dad.
I always loved G-Shocks. But ever since I got this particular model, GWG 1000 1A3, I do smile every time I put it on my wrist. Looks so cool. Military, manly and utterly badass. Brilliant!
Absolutely agree! I am surprised my 1A3 actually relegated my MTG to the shelf when both were purchased just 2 weeks between each other. I now see my Mudmaster as my primary off-work G-Shock while the MTG is what I wear to work. I totally agree that G-Shocks are in a league of their own.. its not about what prestigious logo is on the watch face but rather how badass it makes you look sitting on your wrist.
As a tradesman I love my GWG1000-1A3, I wear it grinding, working with dust and concrete, working on the car, it bashes against walls and metal and is unphased, the saphire protection was the selling point for me, flawless in any environment! The resin has some scuffs but hardly noticeable and that's what it's there for 😉 Great review 👍
Reason No.1 is the best reason. My 1st G-Shock DW5600 made me smile. Bought it for my 40th. Two years on and I have two more G-Shocks added to my collection. Looking forward to getting the green mudmaster GWG1000.
BTW the temperature doesn't work, you have to calibrate the sensor. You need to know the exact temperature in your room and then calibrate the sensor, as it only reads the difference between the temperature you set it into. For example your room temp is exactly 24C you set your watch to that and if it goes up or down your sensor will bring it up or down, simple. Nice video man, I have my Mudmaster for 5 years now and I think this is a watch for a lifetime. Bless! P.S. It looks really good with a green paracord bracelet!
Pulled 8 OEF/OIF, combat tours....and I understand, respect and appreciate exactly what you mean about this watch. It's a survivable, functional mood-elevator
I'm glad to say that I added this watch to my Gshock collection. The Mudmaster is my Grail of all of my Gshock MUDMAN models, my army green Gshock Rangeman with the negative display is next in line.
I have the same watch for last 3 years and it’s a incredible watch. It is by far most worry free watching u can have on your wrist and comes in handy when you love outdoor life. I have Breitling, Rolex also and believe or not this is my favorite. If you can buy one made from Japan if you can find one.
Great video brother! I love my mudmaster. My wife got it for me for Christmas. When I first got it, I would constantly ask people which way north was, then I would use my watch to show them LOL. I did the same thing with the temperature 😂
I own this exact same watch since december 2016. Been wearing it eversince. Battery died twice but it can be recharge under the sun thanks to its solar energy. The best and the longest watch i've ever put on my wrist😊.
I have a GG-B100, carbon mudmaster, awesome piece as well. Last week I finally went out and got GWG 1000 1A3. Man, what a beast of a watch. I love it! Looks so damn good.
@@jlruiz7634 hey man, I ended up selling the GG-B100 one month after getting the GWG. IMO it is a superior watch, from built quality, tough solar, MB6, sapphire glass, looks etc. However, you might consider the newly released GWG-2000. Not of a big difference in price compared to 1000. Good luck in any case.
The Altimeter function I find very useful for map reading. When u have ur map out it’s good to be able to know your elevation to be able to pinpoint you’re location on a ridge etc. It helps you with you’re 3D perspective

Got this watch 6 months ago and the god tier lume on this particular colorway makes telling time way easy without needing a bright light especially after the 1mc announce darken ship and all white lights get replaced with red lights
Bought this watch in the UK for £330 , don’t ask me how , couldn’t believe it ! This watch is just sheer class, looks good , functional timepiece and just a piece of granite in terms of strength . Best money ever spent on a timepiece, I absolutely love it !!
Hi there, I bought an amazing time piece a G Shock Mudmaster quad sensor Blackout edition 2020. My satisfaction was since when I ordered, got my delivery and up to now I'm still incredibly satisfied with this acquisition. That's it. Many thanks by opportunity to send you my comments about my G Shock Backout edition.
Absolutely agree with You. I have 2 of them. I’m collecting G-SHOCKs for over 20 years and when GWG1000 MUDMASTER first came it’s blows my mind. I love it so much I don’t wear any other of my G-SHOCK watches anymore. As You said on video it has everything You will ever need from your watch. And no. 1 it’s looks bulky and smart at the same time.💥💥💥
I have my mudmaster 4/5 years now, im a farmer. Ive given it dogs abuse (irish expression) and its as durable and strong as the day i bought it, A lot of watches have come and gone in the time but nothing beats the steadfastness and strength of this watch, i bought a black, red and yellow strap on ebay from Japan just to change it up a bit in the different seasons but it mostly lives in its green strap. love it
Always found multiband 6 to be excellent to have. Knowing the watch is never more than half a second out until a recalibrates every night, is a buzz. Almost sometimes feel like time revolves around the watch, instead of it being the watch that follows time. Never gets old.
I received mine about a month ago straight from Japan. Everything you said is spot on... Most importantly, yes I too smile every morning when I put it on. Looks damn good with a tailored suit too!
Great video. I love mine too. I have the same model and I also love colours and the high contrast markers. Perfect. I wear it in the military and it fits right in. Gets it done. I use all of the features, aside from the altimeter. Love it.
I love mine. I have the GGB100-1A. I've had it a few years now and just did the first battery replacement Friday. The only thing I want to change is the band. I want to put an OD one like you have on it. I use the features a lot due to my lifestyle. The compass, altimeter and barometer are extremely important to me. My main thing as far as aesthetics goes is the weaved carbon fiber. I'm a big fan of carbon fiber
I really enjoy mine as well, perfect fit even for a slightlier wrist than normally big watches can or should be worn. This IS the watch if one wants a fantastic G-Shock...the new Rangeman is worthless...I managed to break one...the Mudmaster is a serious masculine watch. I normally wear it for tougher outdoor or security work. A small improvement would be G-Shock optional aftermarket straps...one is forcved into rubber..there are some adapters one can buy from third parties but they really do a disservice to the strength of the lugs..
Great review. I own many g shocks and been wearing the rangeman 9400. This review help me decide on the mudmaster. I went with the gwg1000-1a1 blacked out and I couldn’t be happier, solar atomic can’t be beat. Definitely a badass watch. Keep up the good work
I was watching this on my computer and when you asked Google what time it was, My phone behind me (12ft) went off and said the time. lol crazy. great vid. i just bought one, should be arriving today
I can afford to buy multiple rolexes but i chose to buy a casio g shock gwg-2000 in 2023 . I have a smile on my face everytime i look at it on my wrist!
I have to say that I agree with EVERYTHING you said in the video. I have owned many watches in my life, but this GWG 1000 1A3JF MudMaster is by far the best watch I ever spent money on. And, it's affordable.
Excellent points. I couldn't agree more. I bought mine about 2 years ago. Its been on my wrist ever since.... stunning watch. Ps I've got the same one and I've just swapped the green strap for the yellow one znd now i love it even more....
just got this... I have the frogman, rangeman and this one and love it. I think G shock makes some amazing watches... too bad they discontinued this one. I think if you are on the fence between this or the new analog frogman just pick this one up as it has more features and they are almost same size
Enjoyed your top 10. I just purchased the "Blackout Edition" and love it! I agree totally, it puts a smile on my face whenever i look at it. Be safe my friend!
Thanks for the video. I`ve had my mudmaster for 7 years and love it. So many features and tough as nails. If I was ever to wreck it I`d go straight out and buy another.
So i was fortunate enough to buy the GWG-1000-1A3ER and also the Rangeman GW-9400. After a year of wearing both watches i am wearing the GW9400 a lot more due to wearing comfort. Dont underestimate the size of the GWG-1000, its a big watch. Luckily its summer now and i wear the GWG-1000 a bit more and that because i dont wear long-sleeves or jackets now, because in winter it keeps getting stuck in the sleeves. Looks and technique are still 5/5, dont get me wrong!
Hi from France, I have this Mudmaster from around three years and I’m very enjoy with it, not my first Gshock and certainly not my last, excellent video.
My Timex survived everything I went thru overseas in the infantry. Jungle warfare school in Okinawa, mountain warfare training in Korea, jungle survival training in the Philippines, Diving on concertina wire, amphibious landing and everything else at $30. If it works it works! The mudmaster is a nice watch at a cost of $240 and up.
Yep finally was able to treat myself, just purchased this on sale (had my eye on this for about 3 years now but couldn’t afford it at full price £660) and totally agree it does make you smile to own this 👍👊
The GWG-1000 is a wonderful watch. I have the desert camo version and have a number of videos on my channel. It's the 'go anywhere' option, it will not let you down plus it has a bunch of very useful features like tough solar and a compass to help you out. Cheers!
The final statement is correct. A good nice G-Shock makes you happy having it. Mine is a GWN-1000B Gulfmaster. It makes me happy that I still cannot justify buying a Mudmaster. I want to wear it everyday, every second of my remaining life on earth. Must change my Avatar too.
Your video made my day! It was informative, funny and entertaining! I’m a sports watch enthusiast. I’ve just entered the realm of the Casio watches, G shock and Pro trek. As I delve deeper into these super cool and rugged watches. I see the more I learn and the more $ I spend I become pulled deeper into the G Shock world. Your video convinced me to buy a Mud master. I’m older so visibility is huge for me. I also don’t wear jewelry so looking at a cool watch and knowing what time it is makes me happy. Without going in too deep. Thx for taking time to explain the watch and I really enjoyed your style talking about the watch. Thx man!
As you know time is very important in the military and I am a time guy down the the very second. Drives my wife bad because I love to get their early to given myself time to change a flat tire and still get there on time. I own a Mud Master GGB100-1A9 and love it. I love the fact that I can change the time with my Cell Phone. Love the GPS and the same stuff as yours. I recommend these watches.
I've had a mudman G-9300 since 2010 and still going strong. Always take it with me when traveling or on the road as a trucker. Can't go wrong with a mudman. Been thinking on getting a new one.
Portland, Oregon is a very hilly town. When it's freezing/snowing it's helpful to know if you're above or below freezing. It typically snows at 500' in the winter and I live at 500'.
I have 4 watches , all casio , My favorite by far is the gravity master GR-B100 , i bought it in orange and then in black and green because i liked it so much..I also got a rangemaster 9400 as a present and a casio edifice, (which i am going to sell because i prefer sports watches and i never wear it) I like your video because you said something very important . sometimes it is the little things in life that make you happy. in this time of pandemic , looking at my pretty G-shock gives me a smile , i know most people do not care, but i know it is there.. but I will never replace a g shock for a smart watch . something about looking inside a watch with depth and detail will never be replaced by a high def LCD gadget. I absolutely love G-shocks,. and honestly the more you spend on them the more you get. that mud master is amazing and if i was into a job or hobby that required me to get into the mud a lot i would probably get one(although the rangeman would do fine there) The Gravity master is solar and blue tooth which makes it stupid easy to set the time even when you travel somewhere . just press the left connect button for 1 second and it syncs with your phone . thats it ! obviously the atomic is better if you are always entering areas that forbid blue tooth watches (like a classified area in the government) are always in remote areas where you do not have a cellphone nearby and also there is something infinietily cool about a watch connecting to an antenna thousands of miles away and not needing a phone to get it's time. Anyhow grats on your watch.. the only problem about g shocks is that you can never have too many ! lol Also i agree on the rolex comment. i prefer this over a rolex for many reasons. watch nerds that get hard over automatic movement will not agree with me but I really don't see the big deal on swiss automatic watches that "only" gain 15 seconds a month when you can have a watch that is always down to the second in accuracy, don't need to be babied do not need to be calibrated once every other year (which can be expensive) and will not get water inside if the crown accidentally unscrewed a bit. Good luck man and thanks for the review.
Hmmm... You've got me thinking hard about this beast. I've got the GXW-56-1BJF and MTG-B1000B-1AJF. Didn't consider buying another until I saw your video. Well done, boss!!
Thank you for putting your time in to make this video! Now I have to put in the time to understand everything about this gift hands on 😊 In the positive it makes you get up and get out and really use the watch! No couch potato watch lol
Well I bought GWG-1000 secondhand and I love it. I put a low ball snipe bid on eBay thinking it would result in 'Reserve Not Met' but I won it. It's hardly been off my wrist. I've got a genuine Breitling Hercules and a cheap Alpha clone (Rolex Daytona with a Seagull clone ST1903 - a double clone but it's still a great fun watch) as my other watches and I love them all equally regardless of price but this really is a fantastic watch too. It isn't perfect however. It has a fault and it's a serious one IMO. The digital display isn't backlit. Read on to see why. 24 years ago I had a quartz watch with analogue dial and digital display and that watch had back lighting on the digital display. For example with my Mudmaster I like to walk at night and time myself over 4200m. When I push Start and Stop on the stopwatch, ideally I'd like a digital display back light to illuminate via those buttons so I'm able to see the digital display clearly at a glance. You can't. This would condense 3 operations into 1. To stop the stopwatch and read it I don't actually want to push 1) the Stop button, then 2) the Light button, then 3) stop walking and look at a poorly illuminated digital display. What I want is to push Stop then the backlit display illuminates for a second and I can read it. My 24 year old watch watch could do this and you could easily program the buttons by holding them in until they beep so some buttons would illuminate and some wouldn't depending on user preference. The GWG-1000 existing dial lights are not useless but they're not good esp for a $1000 watch, in fact they are not even below average rather I'd rate them as poor. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd rate the active illumination as 2. The lume I'd rate as 4 - it doesn't last very long but when charged up it does glow dimly all night. Uncharged it hardly glows at all. If they thought of this then it would nearly be a perfect watch. An oversight.
Just subbed to the channel dude amazing video thanks for a simple short well layout video been looking all over you tube and saw your video… wow love the way you made the reference “ this is my Rolex “ it’s exactly how I feel I work as a driver for UPS looking for a nice watch but cringe at the fact to ware a Rolex while delivering packages or leave it at home and not enjoy it so dude thanks many blessings for your channel and family keep it up finally a channel for the budget middle class 🙏
I ordered it to replace my 21 year old tissot t-touch. I did 6 deployments with it. The compass was absolutely vital for me. But it’s just done. To many miles. I hope this G-shock is as incredible and long lasting. And accurate.
Hello! I followed your advice, to be honest you convinced me to get this gshock. Thanks for solid arguments why to buy it, honest words, great review. It is one of the best reviews of anything I have seen on the internet! I received my mudmaster Today, and yes it puts smile on my face anytime I check the time. It is also my rolex. Just like you mentioned It is worth waiting some years and finally getting! Thanks!
Good review, solid visuals, background music leagues above others that use it. GWG-1000 is aces, I've got the all black version. I wish I was as tough as it is!
Well, that was more worth than most of the other vids. Nor just because of the info but because here is someone who loves his watch as it should be - not putting the f... Rolex Submariner in the safe to get it out once a year, bragging about it while sipping on a lukewarm chardonnay and planing a real dive with it that will never happen because expensive watches do not belong on the arm let alone in the scary sea. Seems you earned it and I do hope you will enjoy that watch for many years to come. Stay safe.
I just bought a 99 dollar g shock watch. I’ve being ditching my Apple Watch ultra for it. I love it so much. The mud master is going to be my next g shock watch.
I got the very same model on my way back home from us to Kazakhstan as a memory of my trip. Thanks for the review and I was struggling setting the right time 😅
I'm going to agree that one day I'm gonna smile when I have this on.. I don't have one yet but I'm saving up for it.. Me and my wife made agreement that if I save up half she will put the other half to it for this Christmas..ive got the gg1000 but this gwg is my grail watch..
I bought this watch because I feel the same way as you do, my third G Shock. I agree they are very tough. I do Spartan races and totally need a tough watch.
I bought the Mudmasters Casio GWG-1000 variant all black off of ebay straight from Japan had mine for about 6 years now i have no issues with it keeps on ticking. I wear it everyday to work or if i'm out and about anywhere. Since then the only thing i replaced was the black watch band and bezel with a desert camo scheme to give that military look and feel to it. The center core of the watch still looks brand new no scratches on the saphire glass and back stainless cover. This is true rugged watch made to take a beaten. Like the man says in the video i wouldn't trade this for Rolex watch!
I was lusting after this watch and the Frogman, and I would have bought either one in a heartbeat but Ive got a small wrist :( so I got a G Steel gstb200....It s still a cool watch, tough solar and all but no ABC. But it compensates as it can easily double as a dress watch! So those of you who have the same issue and you still want a higher end watch the Gsteel is the way to go. Thanks for the video, love the vibe, very authentic
I am an outdoorsman a homesteader and a prepper. A quality dependable accurate time piece is important to me. I picked up the gwg 1000 1a1. It has everything I need and then some. They are somewhat expensive but I think they are worth it

I have a lot of G-shocks but this one is by far my favorite.
The altimeter on this watch is particularly satisfying as you ascend and descend on a plane, and I was pleasantly surprised at its accuracy.
Great review. I own many g shocks and been wearing the rangeman 9400. This review help me decide on the mudmaster. I went with the gwg1000-1a1 blacked out and I couldn’t be happier, solar atomic can’t be beat. Definitely a badass watch. Keep up the good work
Congrats on your purchase man! Glad I could be of service!
Bought this in January 2019 as a birthday present to myself... Was thinking to go with all black version but decided to stick with OD. Great watch...
bought mine in Jan 2019 too, black and gold
I’m definitely considering getting a mudmaster after watching this. It’s basically all the watch I’ll ever need!
Great video bro!! I’ve been looking at these but wasn’t set on which one….sold! Cheers
6:07 “You’re not buying just a timepiece, you’re buying a legend. That’s the G-Shock name.” Brilliantly said
I have to say that I agree with EVERYTHING you said in the video.
Ps I've got the same one and I've just swapped the green strap for the yellow one znd now i love it even more....
th-cam.com/video/ltW4RmbH_mE/w-d-xo.html G-Shock
just got this... I have the frogman, rangeman and this one and love it. I think G shock makes some amazing watches... too bad they discontinued this one. I think if you are on the fence between this or the new analog frogman just pick this one up as it has more features and they are almost same size
The GWG 1000 wasn´t discontinued.
Enjoyed your top 10. I just purchased the "Blackout Edition" and love it! I agree totally, it puts a smile on my face whenever i look at it. Be safe my friend!
Rock on man! Welcome to the BEASTMODE club! We meet on Wednesdays at Dennys. The new guy buys grand slams for us all! 😁✌🍻
Ohh I’ll take a Rolex, sell it. Buy this and save the rest.
U are so business minded dam 😂😂😂
DAAAAAM straight you can buy 20 mudmasters from selling that one Rolex watch.
Stonks
Good review and helped me decide to pull the trigger on a mudmaster 👌
Hi from France, I have this Mudmaster from around three years and I’m very enjoy with it, not my first Gshock and certainly not my last, excellent video.
thanks!
Yep finally was able to treat myself, just purchased this on sale (had my eye on this for about 3 years now but couldn’t afford it at full price £660) and totally agree it does make you smile to own this 👍👊
th-cam.com/video/ltW4RmbH_mE/w-d-xo.html G Shock .
I have the same watch as well and love it very much, wear it sleep, shower and barely comes off my wrist
haha, I can believe it! Best watch I've ever owned!
The GWG-1000 is a wonderful watch. I have the desert camo version and have a number of videos on my channel. It's the 'go anywhere' option, it will not let you down plus it has a bunch of very useful features like tough solar and a compass to help you out. Cheers!
Awesome watch buddy, just bought one yesterday super stoked with it 🤙
Congrats man. You're not gonna regret this purchase! Thanks for commenting!
Thx man!
Yes, I own several G-Shocks as well and this one is by far my most favorite of the pack!
I recommend these watches.
th-cam.com/video/ltW4RmbH_mE/w-d-xo.html G-shock
I've had a mudman G-9300 since 2010 and still going strong. Always take it with me when traveling or on the road as a trucker. Can't go wrong with a mudman. Been thinking on getting a new one.
Portland, Oregon is a very hilly town. When it's freezing/snowing it's helpful to know if you're above or below freezing. It typically snows at 500' in the winter and I live at 500'.
I have 4 watches , all casio ,
My favorite by far is the gravity master GR-B100 , i bought it in orange and then in black and green because i liked it so much..I also got a rangemaster 9400 as a present and a casio edifice, (which i am going to sell because i prefer sports watches and i never wear it)
I like your video because you said something very important . sometimes it is the little things in life that make you happy. in this time of pandemic , looking at my pretty G-shock gives me a smile , i know most people do not care, but i know it is there.. but I will never replace a g shock for a smart watch . something about looking inside a watch with depth and detail will never be replaced by a high def LCD gadget.
I absolutely love G-shocks,. and honestly the more you spend on them the more you get. that mud master is amazing and if i was into a job or hobby that required me to get into the mud a lot i would probably get one(although the rangeman would do fine there)
The Gravity master is solar and blue tooth which makes it stupid easy to set the time even when you travel somewhere . just press the left connect button for 1 second and it syncs with your phone . thats it ! obviously the atomic is better if you are always entering areas that forbid blue tooth watches (like a classified area in the government) are always in remote areas where you do not have a cellphone nearby and also there is something infinietily cool about a watch connecting to an antenna thousands of miles away and not needing a phone to get it's time.
Anyhow grats on your watch.. the only problem about g shocks is that you can never have too many ! lol
Also i agree on the rolex comment. i prefer this over a rolex for many reasons. watch nerds that get hard over automatic movement will not agree with me but I really don't see the big deal on swiss automatic watches that "only" gain 15 seconds a month when you can have a watch that is always down to the second in accuracy, don't need to be babied do not need to be calibrated once every other year (which can be expensive) and will not get water inside if the crown accidentally unscrewed a bit.
Good luck man and thanks for the review.
Hmmm... You've got me thinking hard about this beast. I've got the GXW-56-1BJF and MTG-B1000B-1AJF. Didn't consider buying another until I saw your video. Well done, boss!!
You should!
@@crownforge4087 Ordered the GWG-1000-1A today. My real name is Jeff, too!!
I’m getting one !!!
I still have my first Casio from the 70’s I think that’s how old it is..
Thank you for putting your time in to make this video! Now I have to put in the time to understand everything about this gift hands on 😊 In the positive it makes you get up and get out and really use the watch! No couch potato watch lol
Love your summery, fully agree with all your words as a Mudmaster-owner 💯
TY. Love this watch for sure. Thanks for watching!
My wife gave me this on our and wedding anniversary love it❤❤❤

JEFF my man I can imagine how much filming and editing you did bro...ALOT OF OF WORK...GOOD SHIT YOU DESERVE MORE VIEWS AND SUBS🤙🏽
Thanks brother! It was a TON of work, but worth it! See you tomorrow at work :( LOL
Welcome aboard sir!
I love gshocks. Have over 100 now. The mudmaster is my favourite. Its such a tool watch. Ive got so many of them. Love the Maharishi LE.
th-cam.com/video/ltW4RmbH_mE/w-d-xo.html G-shock
I ordered it to replace my 21 year old tissot t-touch. I did 6 deployments with it. The compass was absolutely vital for me. But it’s just done. To many miles. I hope this G-shock is as incredible and long lasting. And accurate.
just ordered one today. cant wait...
Which colour?
Love the watch, it's really tough and it looks great! I don't get the altimeter and thermometer to work accurately though...
Stay safe.
Thanks man, glad you can see the value in the watch. Take care. ✌
They are awesome . I own 8 G shocks but the Muddy is my favorite model .
I really enjoy how you present your reviews and thoughts about gear, solid info and great review!
Just bought a G1000-1A5 and got a Barton canvas strap with a Jays & Kays adapter. Sweet!
They are somewhat expensive but I think they are worth it
This is Sweet looking Watch. I have had this model for a few years. Of all my watches this one gets the most compliments.

I love how I you do this video , I’ve been watched 6-7 times
It has my attention. I own half a dozen cheap Casios currently. Other than batteries, no complaints.
