Great tutorial...changing my GGH-100 green strap band's battery soon. At last, today I manage to secure a pre-loved Burton edition (like in the video) from Japan. Can't wait.. to restore and use it.
Absolutely, detaching all the bands before opening the back cover of a watch is a smart move. It helps prevent any accidental damage to the bands or the watch itself, and makes the process smoother and safer. Plus, it can give you better access and control when working on the watch. Just make sure you keep track of all the small parts and screws!
I heard every one saying , Solar this , Solar that! Man you sold me on getting this watch. My only concern was waterproof after changing battery. Thinking it needed chamber testing and all that, but the gasket seal , just like a car is needed to maintain pressure and waterproofing.
Dang, wow, after seeing this,, don't take this watch to the mall watch shop to get the battery change, they will jack the watch case up trying to figure out how to change the battery. Do it yourself for sure 👍 Thanks for this PSA!
I learned that the Rubber seal sometimes sticks to the case back don't trust the Rubber seal to stay in the same position definitely remove it and install it in its little Trench sometimes a little vaseline with a Q-tip to replace the lubricant that was on the O-ring they lubricated the seal to keep it pliable and not dry up and crack
Thank you. This video surely simplifies the battery change. Also noticed by removing only one side of the band, I will be able to change the battery. Thanks for this....👍🏾
Thank you very much for the very details strip and resemble, save time and money only 1.99 $ for battery vs almost 20 $ at the watch shop to do the same things.😊
Thanks for showing yall. I have the same watch out here in Mizoram and no servicing centre is available out here. My question is that, after replacing the battery, will my watch still be waterproof??
Thanks for showing how to do this. I took my watch to a watch repair shop and after they charged me $40 to replace the battery my watch now is fogged up. They said it's because the gasket overtime is dried out and old. I plan on ordering new gaskets and replace it after watching this video. But how do I remove the current fog that has built up in my watch?
Great video loved it made simple. But one question what size o rings/ gaskets/ seals do you need for this watch as I have same watch but cant get a answer anywhere m8
You need to show everyone the step that ensures the Humidity stays out when replacing the back cover. You just need to use a heat Gun to warm up inside ( not burn shit out of it) then place back cover on and drive in the 4 screws. Since it’s a air tight seal the Temp needs to no vary when replacing battery or it will start to show condensation while wearing it and your heated body temp.
The app will alert You about battery, but only after connecting with the watch. BUT You probably will get this from the watch itself first, as the second hand will start beating every two not one seconds. Cheers.
All true but also the led light to see the time will start to flash instead of a steady solid light. Then the watch will show a battery symbol for dead battery
I sent mine in to get the battery changed. When I got it back it didn't look like the back plate was sitting right. I took it apart and there were two gaskets. Can you confirm if it's supposed to have one gasket or two???
If I buy the energizer CR2025 battery I won’t get charged by Times Square for the battery replacement just $5.28 to put a new band or bezel on my other ones I have a GD-X6900-1 that runs on that battery as well
Casio claim it can last for 2 years, and depends on how often you use all the features, let's say you only use your watch just to tell the time and not using the ABC function, maybe you'll get an extra 1 year.
Just one question, why do you sell all your watches and for such low prices?? And Are you a watch dealer of some sort (just asking due to the sheer amount of watches/boxes you have)??
if yu are going to change your 0wn battery's - get a container to put pieces in - pieces that are smaller by just laying them on a cloth and or a surface can be blown away by your own breath -
Can you show them how to make it better and still be tough and water proof? I’m sure they could use another great engineer on the team designing new models.
@@catlady8324 Sure! Hey Casio As this is an expensive watch! Ok that sounds like you either didn’t sit the rubber gasket appropriately or didn’t tight the screws enough. I would open it back up, remove the battery, dry the inside with a microfiber cloth and let the module dry throughly. Then replace the battery, do an AC reset and seal the watch back up.

The most important thing what is missing in this video is changing the battery itself which is located underneath the cover!
Is the white battery seal sticker for the watch important? I chucked it but now I'm not sure whether I should've.
