Thank you for standing for scriptural truth! It is greatly needed, especially with the massive amount of deception, especially with those who claim the name of Christ. Your channel is an escape for those of us who appreciate the beauty and calmness you present. May the Lord bless you and your hands!
I'm glad you had a pleasant trip back. Your very inspiring with not worrying what the world says you should or shouldn't do. It takes courage! May God bless you always.
You have such a gentle and soothing voice. I have enjoyed watching your videos the past few days on homemaking, home keeping, and dressing and gardening the past few days while I'm dog sitting.
Kelli, you are such an inspiration for those of us who have a calling to be at home. Thank you for your wisdom and your guiding light. It is SUCH a breath of fresh air to find someone who not only tries to be as natural and use what God has given us, but also to stand up for what you know God speaks in his truth. ♥
Your videos are always such an encouragement to me. Today is my mom's first heavenly birthday. I'm missing her (even though I'm secure in her eternity) and this certainly cheered me up a little. Hope you are having a blessed day :)
Hi Kelli! I was so happy to see this homemaker chat pop up this morning 🙏🏻 I’m so glad you had a great and safe trip back! I very much enjoyed listening to this while I crocheted this morning. I absolutely agree about making the stewarding process of finding good deals on essentials and things you are buying as a homemaker fun and turning it into a game. It’s so rewarding when you know your hunt for what you are looking for pays off and was worth the extra effort not to go straight to convenience (if possible). I’ve been trying to practice this so much recently. Last week I made your laundry soap recipe! I have been wanting to try making our own for so long and when I saw your recipe I knew that’s the one I wanted to try when our previous detergent ran out. We love it! I’m so so happy to now be able to do our laundry with simple, clean ingredients! Thank you so much for sharing it. I also couldn’t wait to share the recipe with my mom and she’s going to make it next 🥹 Thank you for all you share 🤍 Have a great Monday!
I love South Africa. Went on a mission trip in 2016 and fell in love. We went to squatter camps outside Jburg, a Lion park and a safari. Changed my life! Agree about who to shop with and where to put your money!!!
Hi Kelli! I found your channel recently and as a fellow Christian homemaker I really enjoy your videos. We have two daughters that we homeschool and I appreciate people like you that put themselves out there for others to be encouraged by and by motivated by ❤
I'm so with you on the Dr. Bronner issue, one reason why I don't support Wal Mart or Disney anymore either. We are also considering flushing Amazon, there are so many other places to shop!
How did SA feel safety wise? I’ve heard that there are rampant violent attacks on the White farmers there. Not sure if that’s just in one particular region or if it’s widespread.
AHHH YES GIRL!!!! ACCESS TO THAT COUNTRY FOR A LIFETIME through your hubby. I feel ya... Me too. It's such a blessing to be connected to two countries so closely. I love it. Love how you said that. I've been watching this video in segments. So, sorry for the multitude of comments. :P hahaha.. But yes, I SOOO AGREE WITH YOU! It's a blessing!
I would have such a difficult time where I live giving up Amazon or something like Walmart or big box stores. Walmart came in about 30 minutes away from me, in each direction, & literally drove every other business that was worth shopping at out of business. There are many items that we just can not get locally, even agriculture items & we live very rural. something like a feed store? Doesn't exist anymore. We have Dollar Generals, Walmart, big box hardware stores & groceries. all the mom & pops are gone. As far as local, we have things like florists, gift shops, bars & pizza places. Our main streets are waste lands. Even our 'local' Walmart just renovated & removed a lot of the products & added in big, flashy displays. You can not get the products necessary, so you have to order everything unless you want to drive more than an hour & with gas prices the way they are????? Our small towns have been in big trouble for a long while now.
@@mossyoakmom8880 I live in Central New York - Ever heard of Syracuse University ? In the agricultural area surrounding it. After the last recession in 2008-09, most of our small towns never recovered. Our main streets are pretty austere, the weather sucks 75% of the year, there are no manufacturing jobs left, and the agriculture sector is petering out with the last elderly farmers left......used to be a great place to grow up. My dad talked about our tiny town hosting 4 grocery stores. There is 1 & it is sooooo expensive that most can't afford to shop there. Lots of drugs, too. now I am depressed.
@@pattyhansen7563 Thank you for the reply. I live in California but I have family in upstate NY. I’ve been to areas around Saratoga Springs but I haven’t ventured off anywhere else there. I’m so sorry to hear what’s going on. I do have to say, when Walmart came to Southern California it forced a lot of mom and pops out of business. It’s just terrible. I worked at a camera shop in Palm Springs, California but we eventually closed too. My boss said, you can’t out Walmart, Walmart.
@@mossyoakmom8880 you know what the real irony is? that Walmart does not provide any of the services/benefits that they used to. So we are out of luck. Our Walmart no longer has a photo center, a book section, and other sections like it used to. It also isn't open 24 hours like it used to be. Walmart as a corp. no longer offers the coupon/sale matching. They won't even honor their online price in store, when it is lower than the in store price. They also don't cash u out anymore - its mostly self checkout. They often don't stock items so you are forced to order thru their online site. So they ran everyone else out in small towns & then quit offering any of the things that made small town folks clamor for their 'super centers'. They are anything but super in my mind. My husband worked as a fleet mechanic for them for 10 years. At first it was a dream job, but as the years went on they treated them crappier & crappier. Walmart can't even out Walmart, walmart😆 nowadays!
Oh my goodness, where can I find your podcast? I gave up YT for Lent and since it's Sunday, it's my only YT video since Ash Wednesday. (We aren't obligated to abstain from our fast on Sundays). I could listen to you while I'm doing my housework!
Hi! That's a great thing to give up! It's called Biblical Masculinity and Femininity with Scott and Kelli. It's a combination from this channel and the one I do with Scott!
HAHAHAHAHA! YESSSS, I' used to scrolled back to see if there was a black box and ended up deleting people too! haha... just laughed when you said that. LOL
SOOO NICE that you guys got two rows in the airplane. There was one flight where we did too and that seriously makes a world of a difference. :) YESSSSS... for them it's soooo expensive. And in rand the average person doesn't make much, sadly. So it's really hard to pay even small amounts because you don't have as much.
Welcome Home! It’s such a joy seeing your videos from S. Africa. I’m curious about growing the ginger and turmeric. I ordered tubers before but they didn’t actually produce even a plant. Are you sprouting the pieces before planting or just putting them in the ground? Looking forward to seeing how your garden grows for you this year. My new growing focus this year is herbs, in particular medicinal and tea blend herbs.
The Lord spoke to me years ago with regards to reading & watching videos & said "knowledge without application is useless". This applies to the Bible as well as anything else that you may study.
OK so maybe this is a silly question, but... what if a big box store WAS local for you? Like, if you lived ten miles from Kroger's headquarters... would it be local at that point? (ETA: Just coming at this from a local/non local viewpoint.... not as far as the values aspect of it.)
Food/grocery budgeting would be wonderful!! Family of 6 at home (4 children 12-24 yrs. old), and my grocery bill seems really hard to manage without Costco. Random question…do you use air pods?
Oh my, I've had these for over 10 years. I'm thinking they came in my bed sheet set. It's just a very sheer fabric, I don't know if you sew, but I'm thinking they could be made fairly easy...
Great video! I agree with most herbal courses . However I did but doc jones course last year. I run a farm and needed someone with experience with herbs and animals. I justified the course bc we use it for homeschool & I sold a horse to buy the course so I started saving money 😂

Where did you get your kitchen curtains? I've been looking for something like that for my kitchen

May I ask who you get your herbs from now. I need to find a new source.
