Hello, Kelli! I am so flattered that you tagged me in this video, and went on to mention my channel at 20:50 being mentioned alongside Erika Thompson just made my day :) I'm headed to Texas at the end of the year. Yes, collect a swarm, they are already locally adapted and should do well... the price is right :)
I just love you so much for being meek and making sure you don’t offend. Most if not all the things you don’t do anymore; I do 😂. I didn’t get offended but it made me think about what I’m really doing health wise and just wisdom wise. When I found your channel I told my husband I found another sister from a different mister 😆. I love your spirit and thanks for shedding light and wisdom to people you don’t know; with the possibility of receiving criticism. Also I’ve had tattoos since 14 and I wish I could get rid of them. (SINGLE WOMEN LISTEN TO HER) an unmarked body is so beautiful. Thank God my husband didn’t see it as a turn off. Keep being Gods mouth piece sister and spreading the good news and wisdom. 💕💕💕
You are appreciated and needed. Young godly leaders who are able to speak and articulate is something our world is so badly in need of. Carry on sister.
Hi Kelli so grateful for your heart and explanation for your heart motive for the previous video. I am very blessed by your content but that particular video was a hard one. I think it would have helped if you explained why you don't use or do those things anymore. The why helps so much. I mean no offense and very much appreciate the time you take to try and build up women. Blessings on you ❤
@@homewithkelli I think everything you have mentioned in your video. You had a great point and people they should always realize that some channels are not for everybody …if they don’t like it, they don’t need to watch it , and they can go and watch whatever else they like to watch, but I highly recommend stay strong in your believe and speak the truth. I really appreciate that you are speaking the truth in every expect. May Lord Jesus bless you and your channel and your family 🥰✝️🌺♥️
No need to apologize about anything. There was nothing offensive about your last video or any other videos I’ve seen. That said I always enjoy your videos they’re always very informative and most of your viewers know you’re speaking from your heart 😊
When I watched your video, I did not feel condemnation, your heart did shine through. Please continue to share your Christian views, you're doing a great job! 😊
Hey Liz, thank you! I don’t consider this being politically correct… with the things Scott and I share on we are not concerned about that. I clarified based off obeying Romans 14.
I heard the main reason the bible speaks against tattoos is because the Jews wanted to differentiate themselves from the pagan Canaanites who used tattooing during religious ceremonies. They were also involved in a lot of evil practices so this gave tattooed people a bad reputation in the Middle East. The Romans also used to use tattooing as a way to punish criminals so this further damaged the reputation of people with tattoos in Europe.
Hi Kelli, I will be 70 this year and I love your videos. Your consistent lovely countenance and very wise Biblical wisdom has been such a blessing. I have learned a lot. Thank you!
I loved your last video, and all of your videos that I've seen so far. I enjoy the wisdom, and guidance you and Scott have to share. You made it clear that there was no condemnation intended. We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God but His grace and mercy are bigger than our sins. You will never please every person. Sometimes, when we feel offended, it may just be conviction in our own hearts that we need to pray about and address. I have tatoos, done when I was younger and not thinking the way I do with the age and wisdom I've gained now.... still, I was not offended. Please keep sharing as God leads. Thank you!
I have tattoos. I definitely agree that girls should wait until you are married to discuss with your husband. I felt really pressured to get them and I deeply regret them especially have 2 daughters. I was so happy to hear your say that about tattoos and hope many others will speak out against them as well.
@danyellecarr I was in my 20s working as a nurse in 80s. I had an older woman 70s-80s. She had a tattoo on her inner thigh with an arrow pointing stating " here it is baby". We were changing her. She would not discuss it. I tell all young people about that and remind them they will get old and need their diaper changed. We all get old and be sure a tattoo is something you will want at 80 years old.

I just want you to know your last video was literally my favorite one so far. Your videos are like a cool breeze -- peaceful and sweet and good, and please don't let the devil bully you into thinking otherwise. Keep it up! You are doing great, Kelli! You do not have to apologize for anything. I love, love listening to you; it always calms me down and makes me feel encouraged and gives me ideas. I am definitely happy you kept the video up. I am not a you tuber, and I second guess a comment I leave. Your channel is very inspirational. I did not come to accept Christ until later in life, and unfortunately, I already had tattoos that I regretted. I am blessed that my husband knew my testimony and loved me without conditions. I believe that there is a study that 90% of the adult population has tattoos. I just regret my tattoos and definitely don't judge anyone for having them. I think it is wise to wait if you don't have them. I am guilty of being overwhelmed at the prospect of managing the home economy. We are new to the one income home and homeschooling, so we have lots to learn. We have built our home over the past year, and the Good Lord willing we plan to prepare our land for lambs and dairy goats. We would love to have bees also! I think with time and errors, there are lots of room for growth. Our garden was a dismal failure last year. The Texas heat and drought didn't compliment my beginner skills at gardening.. That is so fascinating about 90% of the population having tattoos. Something I've never actually thought about, but that makes a lot of sense. That is so hard with last years garden failing, I know how discouraging that is, but it's also really cool to hear you tried again because I think sometimes garden troubles makes you wonder is this "even worth the work?!" (it totally is, but in those moments, it's a mental thing overcoming frustration, at least for me anyways!) Glad to hear your herbs are doing amazing and I pray it is a wonderful bountiful harvest! Thank you for your encouragement Sonja!!
Thanks, Kelli, for sharing your wisdom learned. I'm in on most of the things on your list. I enjoy your videos and find the content peaceful and uplifting. On this one, I would like to mention that I find by beginning each meal with grace and gratitude for the transformative blessing of the Holy Spirit is key no matter what's on the table. Food is life. And the most important ingredient in preparation is the love. When I begin to fret over healthy food choices, I'm reminded of what Christ says about taking no thought for what we shall eat...or what we shall wear... Day by day the manna falls and God will abundantly provide for each of His Children.
Kelli I love that you are so conscientious about your words and other ladies feelings. You are never offensive and you care so much about people. You are a true godly woman. I didn’t comment on your last video - but I have implemented most of what you have and I did it over the years also. I agree that doing it all at once could be very overwhelming. I love that you are so considerate of others that you wanted to clarify. I did think it was perfect though! Your channel is one of my two favorites- the other one being Little House on the Mountain. I think you would like that one too :). Regarding meals - I am like you. I keep a very well stocked pantry, fridge and freezer and then make what sounds good that day. I used to plan more when I shopped week to week. Your potato dish sounds yummy - I think I will try that! Thanks again for all you do - all the work and prayer that goes into your videos. We all appreciate you so much.
Kelli, you could have knocked me down with a feather when you mentioned my channel. I'm so happy to hear you enjoy watching the progress of our house and garden. Concerning your last video, I find hearing how and why you do things interesting and thought-provoking whether it is the same or different to how I do things. I want to investigate aluminium foil because I haven't heard anything about that and now I know I need to trim my onions to help them stay upright.
Hahaha yay, well your property and home is just gorgeous! I love seeing your intentionality in all things and how you're restoring beauty! Your hard work is inspiring to me!
Thanks for sharing all the channels that you listen to or watch. I have been really bored with You Tube lately and wanting something more. Although, that has led me to find other things to do like learning more about quilting, so not a bad thing. Thanks for another great video. See you next time.
You are doing a wonderful job Kelli. And explaining what you are doing so as not to cause others to misunderstand, is so important. That takes some patience, but necessary. So much of the controversies that I see on social media, just comes from misunderstanding what is being said. Again, good job.
Please do not doubt yourself, your videos are great and your last video is inspiring! Lovely to see your subscriber numbers going up and that you’re reaching more people 😊 xx
Nice to meet you! How many tomato plants do you have growing? I wonder how many is enough for ketchup when that is also an item I would only make after canning atleast 100 jars of other products. Ive never tried ketchup before.
I have about 90 growing, but that's because I had a really rough season last year, I just don't think we get enough sunny hours in our garden for our tomato plants to really thrive. When we had grown enough tomatoes to make ketchup a few years ago, at a different property, I probably had 30 plants but zero issues with them. So I guess it depends on the plants yields.
I have found the same thing over the years. Some years don't yield as well so instead of growing 30-40 plants I have 60 this year. If I have too much produce, sharing is always fun.
I am glad to see this video. I was honestly felt aweful about using the non-stick waffle maker after watching your last video. I have stayed away from non-stick for so long that when I was gifted the maker on Mother's Day, I had to relearn how to use it. I also wanted to pull my waffle Maker video from TH-cam and return the gift because of the aweful feeling I had after your last video. But like you, I prayed about it and in the end, I told my family I will keep it (even though I would still be getting the cast iron maker one day) because they went throught the trouble researching the "best" non-stick copper-infused tool for me. And I can always use it as the second maker when the grandkids come to visit. I appreciated you saying that none of the things you said on your last video was a salvation issue, which I agree. What stood out to me was that you said you wear only organic cotton clothing EXCEPT when you need a dress for a special occasion then you don't mind getting a polyester one... and other exceptions, I can't remember at the moment. I came to the conclusion that you were truly just relating your dos and don'ts, on a social media platform. And I did not want to comment because I was not in a correct mindset to leave one. I do most of the things you mentioned and I was called "crunchy" - a term I learned recently and all the while I was doing all the "crunchy" things in the name of frugality and recycling. Isn't that interesting? Again, I appreciate your videos and looking forward to rejoice with you when the harvest of your hard work in your garden is at hand 💛
Well, I am so thankful you didn't get rid of it. Enjoy your waffle maker that was gifted to you, what a blessing you can think of your children and their intention for giving it to you every time you make waffles!!
I loved your last video, I completely understand how you feel as sometimes I am hesitant to post some videos on my dailyhealthyliving channel. I agree that we Christians need to post so folks know & learn about God's design & what his word says in the Bible. I'm with you that I pray my content is a light in this world & that is blesses others. I will be checking out some of the channels you recommended too. God bless you dear sister in Christ!!
Don’t worry about the haters. Those people shouldn’t be watching you. I appreciate listening to you it’s so encouraging and please keep making content. It’s hard to find young women with this point of view.
Sat down with a cup of tea and saw your new chat video . Loved it of course ! Can’t wait for the next one. I think you share very tactfully and gracefully on touchy subjects. I like what you are doing sharing your beliefs in a kind and loving way for the next generation. Younger girls will gravitate towards you for inspiration.
I love your heart, Kelli!!! I wish we lived closer. I'm glad you are here in this space. My husband and I do not have tattoos either. They have never appealed for many reasons. Many of my friends have them though. I have often felt like the odd duck. From a health perspective even the low tox inks still have heavy metals in them and tattoos also wreak havoc with our lymphatic system. My 21 year old just told me he had gotten two of them. I told him it's his body and that's a decision at this point between him and the Lord.
I think your last video was great! I was definitely encouraged 😊 I recently found your channel & I am really enjoying your videos 💛 thank you for being so caring, kind, and thoughtful to your viewers! I look forward to seeing more!
Your content is spot on! In a world where we have been bombarded with faster, cheaper & convenient, it gives us guidance as far as what are healthier choices for healthier lifestyles. People are free to choose if it applies to their life or not. Sometimes we need to be reminded of those things. Thank you for taking a stand on biblical values. I pray that God would richly bless your channel and your life!!
A good TH-cam channel rec is Pasta Grannies. It’s completely in Italian but they do have subtitles. My 6 and 4 year old boys love it even though they have no idea what is being said
I have been benefiting from audio Bible as well! ESV has a very good reader by the way. He changes his voice for different people and it helps me follow things better :)
I watched your other video & my questions did raise... I need to know how you cook with cast iron... 🤔 Lol... I'm new to this lifestyle, but I hope to make changes like this. I'm going to need to binge watch all your videos ❤ God bless y'all. I hope to see your videos every time you post!!
Thank you and if you haven't seen the cast iron video I did I explained a lot there and hope it's helpful!! th-cam.com/video/VyY-8LJddYU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1HgmTWCV5Lm6MZDi
Ladies, don't just wait until you're married to get a tattoo, wait until your late 30s/40s to get it. Don't fall for the fear of missing out in your 20s, it ain't worth it even with husband's approval!
I had a tattoo when I was 18 on the top of my back. I regret it so much, it always shows in summer dresses… luckily my husband I met after my tattoo doenst really mind. But we agree that if we could go back in time, we would not have any tattoo 🥲 young people make stupid choices and we have to live with it so we just hope our kids do better 😅😊
you have a beautiful & gentle spirit Kelli. The previous video was GREAT. You just simply explained what you don't do, why, & what you do instead. nothing to get mad about there (altho I suppose there are always those that find something to get mad about - but that is not your intended target audience, so no worries). on the ketchup: I think it would be smart to re-preserve it, because as you are 'decanting' it you are introducing bacteria & air into it.
I've recently started doing a loose style of meal planning, where I will write down 5 meals that sound good for that week, and then make them on whatever day it sounds good. That way I have a rough idea of what I'm making. We also put a 9x13 in the fridge and pull out a week supply of meat so it's ready to go. Seen that on a channel here somewhere. It's been nice!
I enjoyed you're previous video😊, although I'm not 'there yet' with some of the things you mentioned. I heard no judgement in your speaking. I know this journey of clearing our lives from toxic/harmful things is a process for each of us and I believe the Lord will convict us of each thing that He deems necessary as we progress.
I agree with your last video. It takes time to replace things and habits and that’s totally normal. For starters it might also be helpful for inspiration. And I agreed so much on the tattoos. I have tattoos and I regret it so much!! I’m happily married now and thank God he doenst mind, but if we could turn back time there would not be a tattoo. I didn’t know better a few years ago so now I’m stuck with it and I have much regret, but it’s just what it is I guess. Hopefully others can learn from my experience, I know I won’t allow my kids to make this mistake 🙈
First off: don’t let the enemy get to you.. nothing at all wrong with past video. You stressed enough that it was you and your husband’s conviction and not someone else’s.. 2nd: Your videos are encouraging 3: We need more real godly women that are down to earth in sharing their wisdom .. young or old Keep it up 👍🏻
You are a beautiful young Christian woman! I am grandparent that has talked to many high school kiddos about the importance of making good decisions and it seems to fall on deaf ears. You are a wonderful inspiration to keep my hope flowing for the younger generation. Over my years, I have come to understand, those that easily take offense are looking to be offended. When you stand strong for Christ, you will be attacked. Thank you for making such bold and truthful videos, they are a true testament!
Ah I understand completely what you're saying with it making good decisions falling on deaf ears, I do believe, you may never know how your presence and words impacted maybe even just one of those kids. Scott and I both think back to significant examples in our high school years that impacted us and those people will probably never know it because we have no way of even telling them!
I thought your video was great! I can’t do most of them now, but that didn’t make me depressed or anything 😂😂 when I realized turning off my internet wasn’t going to help much when we share walls with neighbors and we can see their internet pop up on our WiFi well, yeah can’t do anything about that.
Don’t be more concerned about what people think or how they feel. People have been offended God so much even christians that they don’t care. Continue doing your videos, because you are pleasing God not men. Galatians 1:10 ❤
I loved your video, I’m glad you didn’t remove it. I do have to ask how have churches glorified tattoos? I’m Seventh Day Adventist and are taught not to permanently mark our bodies. Nothing against anyone that has tattoos I myself was seriously considering getting a tattoo, then I met my husband and he advised I do not. He didn’t like the way they looked on women (he’s former Marine Veteran without tattoos). Been married 16 years and honestly, I’m glad I didn’t.
Thanks for the kind response! Definitely not all churches, but churches we have been to in the past, mostly churches with hip youth groups, most all the leaders have tattoos.
@@homewithkelli yes, I agree. I also don’t like to attend large churches that have a full band either. I love singing hymns with piano or organ accompaniment, I don’t want the beautiful words to get lost in heavy instruments. Call me old fashioned 😊
Kaitlyn from Quiet in the Land just announced that she is no longer making YT videos. She recently married and is expecting their first child. Hopefully, she's keeping her shop open.
If you can't make a decision yourself and feel you need to wait to get married and get your husband's approval, a) what an unhealthy dynamic, and b) I feel sorry for the husband who has just married such a dependent wife. If a potential spouse rules you out because of your tattoos-good for them. They just made your choice easier!
"For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does..." - 1 Cor 7. "She does her husband good not harm ALL the days of her life..." - Proverbs 31 It's not dependency, its respect for the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with.

Beans don’t lose their nutrients like other canned foods, so you can can them and have them on hand for those nights you need them quickly!
Also, you can use walnut tree sap (there are many other trees, not just maple to make syrup) and make delicious syrup (better than maple syrup!)

Great video! Thanks for sharing. What is your ketchup recipe? How did you find the half cow for sale?
That's so cool you're learning quilting!!
You are doing a wonderful job Kelli. And explaining what you are doing so as not to cause others to misunderstand, is so important. That takes some patience, but necessary. So much of the controversies that I see on social media, just comes from misunderstanding what is being said. Again, good job.
Thank you so much!
Keep at it Kelli!
Off-topic, but I love your hairstyle. What up-do is it?
I loved your last video, I completely understand how you feel as sometimes I am hesitant to post some videos on my dailyhealthyliving channel. I agree that we Christians need to post so folks know & learn about God's design & what his word says in the Bible. I'm with you that I pray my content is a light in this world & that is blesses others. I will be checking out some of the channels you recommended too. God bless you dear sister in Christ!!
I always watch your videos. Please don’t stop! ❤ I like these types of videos I feel like they help me !
That sounds so lovely, sitting with a cup of tea! I'm glad you enjoyed it and thank you for your encouragement!!
I memorized the books of James and Philippians.
I told him it's his body and that's a decision at this point between him and the Lord.
you are wonderful i enjoyed your last vid vid - you literally glow with wisdom and inner joy Daughter of God 🙏🏻🌲🤍
I ❤ Maranda Christine! I've sent her many packages of vintage items she has used in her home decor. I would love to meet her. I live in Ohio!❤
God leads us, not people in Washington. You and Scott have a bless week💙❤️🙏🙏
Amen!
I think your last video was great! I was definitely encouraged 😊 I recently found your channel & I am really enjoying your videos 💛 thank you for being so caring, kind, and thoughtful to your viewers! I look forward to seeing more!
I'm so glad to hear that, thank you so much!!
Thank you so much, this is so kind of you! God bless you!
A good TH-cam channel rec is Pasta Grannies. It’s completely in Italian but they do have subtitles. My 6 and 4 year old boys love it even though they have no idea what is being said
That sounds amazing, I will check them out!!
I have been benefiting from audio Bible as well! ESV has a very good reader by the way. He changes his voice for different people and it helps me follow things better :)
I thought the video was great! I love your heart.
Good point!!
I enjoy your videos and look forward to them. A simple life is uplifting. I am content with my life.
Amen and I'm so glad you like them and are content with life!!
Thank you so much, I'm so glad you liked it!
Everything you said in that video are things that I’ve thought and am saving up to do.
I think you are a positive role model for young girls and women.
First off: don’t let the enemy get to you.. nothing at all wrong with past video. You stressed enough that it was you and your husband’s conviction and not someone else’s..
2nd: Your videos are encouraging
3: We need more real godly women that are down to earth in sharing their wisdom .. young or old
Keep it up 👍🏻
🌱

Thank you Kelli. 💕
@@erinr86 I'm right there with you 😊
No stress, What God's called you to do is to do as God teaches Us, We are to be set apart from ❤🙏the world!! Keep Being U
I don't have any tattoos.
It is a great video
Hi Kelli, Are you and Scott going to be making any videos or podcasts together soon? ❤
thats is what I am wondering too!!!! I love their other channel, but....no new videos!
Can you do a video with the recipe when you make the ketchup please?
Kaitlyn from Quiet in the Land just announced that she is no longer making YT videos. She recently married and is expecting their first child. Hopefully, she's keeping her shop open.
I think it was good
If you can't make a decision yourself and feel you need to wait to get married and get your husband's approval, a) what an unhealthy dynamic, and b) I feel sorry for the husband who has just married such a dependent wife.
If a potential spouse rules you out because of your tattoos-good for them. They just made your choice easier!
"For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does..." - 1 Cor 7.
"She does her husband good not harm ALL the days of her life..." - Proverbs 31
It's not dependency, its respect for the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with.
I had to stop following the political stuff too. It’s just not productive.
